*Merged* The Miz Is The New WWE Champion.

Well I think I might be the biggest Miz mark on here, I got a man crush on him bigger than Micheal Cole does!!!!! It took me alot to not cry when he smashed Orton's face into the mat with the Skull Crushing Finale. (I SPELL IT OUT)

NOW AND ONLY NOW CAN AWESOMNESS BE SPREAD ALL OVER AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LONG LIVE THE MIZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Extremely pleased with the last two weeks of raw. Huge Miz fan here and damn the last 20 mins of Raw brought me back to the better days of wrestling. When you just didn't know what was gonna happen. I love Money in the bank and what it does for people!

MTFO for Miz!!!!!!!!

Did anyone catch the pissed off little girl the camera cut to while the Miz was celebrating? was funny as hell. Overall Im not sure if it made the Miz look very strong due to even being injured Ortan still held his own, But overall the MitB has never made very strong main eventers so i should be surprised.

Really? Who's Edge? What about CM Punk?

However, That little girls expression was freakin priceless!

I was hoping for a little more buildup but I guess as the saying goes, why put off until tomorrow what you can do today? A Miz title win has been a long time coming and I think it was well done. Mix taking the title off Orton gives him a HUGE rub (as if just winning the title didn't do enough of that) and helps further cement his main event status. This will also do wonders for Riley as he is Miz's apprentice. However, this is a risky move as I can easily see this becoming a Jack Swagger like title reign. I hope I'm wrong.

I would love to see Miz hold the title for a long time. I wouldn't mind seeing him hold the title until Wrestlemania. But then again, I wouldn't be surprised to see him drop the title by then. As for what happens next, I think it's pretty obvious Orton will get his rematch. I see Miz going over and moving on to another feud, possibly with the rising John Morrison while Orton takes up the fight against Nexus in Cena's place.

Great ending tonight! All eyes were on Orton, Barrett & Cena. Miz sneaks in the backdoor & picks up his 1st heavyweight championship! I think he's ready to take the next step personally. But we'll all find out soon enough!

All I know is: "AWESOME" better be the very 1st word broadcast on RAW next Monday. I cant wait to hear his 1st promo as WWE champ. He better lead-off the show dammit!!

Ok, Props to someone coming from obscurity to greatness. Props for a man who has a dream and doing all he can to chase it down. Mad props to the Miz for sticking with it and working hard. But we can give those same props to legends who never held the title. Does he deserve MORE Props than them? No. He doesn't even really deserve half of them. If you are a dream chaser I tip my hat to you. If you get to pursue a childhood dream and make it there, I still give you kudos...but some people do not deserve to be in the positions they are placed in. Yes he chased and and got here. But he don't deserve it. Not more than Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka or others. Yeah, it was in the era of Hulkamania and nobody was takin the belt from him while they were BUILDING wrestling to where it is. Ok, i'll give you that. But when they gave it to other guys, they were established cemented and polished. Ready. They were ready to carry the company. I don't care what anyone says. A champion should be ready to carry a company. The Miz doesn't have the personality, charisma or in ring skill to carry the company. He just doesn't. I just can't watch anymore. That belt is the equivelant of tissue paper right now.

did you think john cena was ready to carry the company 5 years ago when he won the title? what about triple h in 99? a face of the company has to start somewhere. the miz isnt like sheamus who was around for 5 months before being champion the miz has worked his ass off to improve what he does. the miz is more solid on the mic and in the ring than a lot of past champs (batista, goldberg, benoit (on the mic), JEFF HARDY). i get where you are coming from saying older guys who never won the title deserved it more than the miz. but i think we both agree times were different and the business was different. cant change it now.

Well, now this is what I call a GREAT MONDAY NIGHT RAW Show! Definately one of the best!

Yes, I am EXTATIC that The Miz won the WWE Title! lol - this is classic! Something fresh, new, and exciting! The way that Cena was used to mess up Wade Barrett's title shot by interferring in Orton's match by removing the referree and then the Miz coming in to Cash! I mean, really - what a Classic must see event! Cena leaves out in style, The Miz is a new champion with Alex Riley by his side (which is really fun to watch) and now you have a possible Tripple Threat match between Orton, Wade, and The Miz somewhere in the future.

I am just hoping that WWE does NOT cut The Miz's title reign short. I am SOOOSOOSOSOOSOOSO glad that Wade Barrett did NOT win the WWE Title. I mean, Wade barrett is being built up for a WWE Title reign in the future, which works, but right now, The Miz should run with the WWE Title for a good while with strong fueds with the likes of Orton, maybe even John Morrison and Sheamus coming into the picture, etc.!

I am very excited and thought that this was just a Great segment of Monday Night Raw with The Miz, Orton, Wade, and Cena moment!!! Classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miz winning tonight was indeed very awesome. Finally after such a long journey from nothing to the top, the Miz has accomplished the ultimate goal in WWE---become the WWE champion.

It's funny when you look back to around 2004. A time where the Miz (Mike Mizanin) was just some punk kid who had a dream to become a wrestler. While although he did not win the competition he was in, TOUGH ENOUGH, he would later make his way into the company despite all odds. However, when he made it, no one liked him. No one gave a shit about him. In fact, even the entire locker room hated him. Yet, determined as he was, he continued to rise up the ladder, defying all obstacles and eventually become an accepted member of the WWE.

When the Miz split up with Morrison, no one thought he would go anywhere. In fact, everyone thought that he would become a jobber and ultimately released. When in reality, the Miz just kept climbing up the ladder of mount proffession. Even to the point where he became WWE CHAMPION.

At long last, we, the fans, get to see what we have been waiting for for such a long time. Week after week I'm sure most if not all that are fans of the Miz were anxious to see when the Miz would cash in his MitB. It even got to the point where I'm sure most were getting tired of it and began to lose interest in the Miz. But then this RAW came...And finally, we got to see it happen...the Miz is champion...

The greatest part of this was the *shock* involved in it. No one had expected the Miz to become champion tonight. No one had expected to see the Miz's music hit and cash in the Money in the bank contract. The way the WWE just planned this out was phenomenal. Most, if not everyone, had expected Randy Orton to be having some kind of rematch at TLC or something. But to find out that instead the Miz becomes champion. Truly an epic momment.

My only wish now is that the WWE does not drop the ball with the Miz as they have done with so many others (i.e. Jack Swagger). The Miz is quite frankly the biggest push the WWE should be giving to any superstar at the momment seeing as how he is going to become our future poster boy (torch holder). I hope that many great things come out of the Miz for beecoming champion. One can only imagine the success that the Miz is going to happen.

One thing's for sure though, I'm seriously marking the fuck out for the Miz right now.

I never expected this to happen. I thought the Miz was the first one to lose the MITB opportunity. But yeah, the cash in came in at the right place, at the right time. But I think it's too early for a title for the Miz. He's good on the mic but needs to get better in the ring.

The Miz as WWE Champion maybe later but not this soon. I am very disappointed with the WWE's decision. I guess I'll have to steal a line from Chris Jericho, I will have to start changing the channel and look for a hero. Don't get me wrong, I feel this will go the way of Jack Swagger. I think this would be the same as if they put the belt on Wade Barrett.

Well this is certainly interesting. I'll have to admit I kinda marked out a bit for Miz coming down to cash it in.

Some might think it's just another cash-in. Yet it's obvious there's at least a bit of earning to this one. He didn't just enter and beat Randy, he beat him down first and took a bit of a beating. It looked as if he could've lost it, but he didn't.

I don't see why a lot of people like to think this will just become a transitional thing. Jack Swagger and Kane wasn't transitional champions. WWE seems to be high on creating Miz as a big star, so why would they want to make him a transitional champion right now? Especially when he can feud with Randy Orton and be made to look good.

I'd like to think of this as a good move. Wade Barrett is obviously gonna be out of the WWE title picture for a little while due to Randy Orton having his rematch clause, and Miz being the champion. It could bring a bit of time to build Wade, while Randy takes care of building Miz.

Intrigued to see where this will all go.

I have to agree. It's about time. Miz needs to stay the champ all the way to WrestleMania 27. He needs to main event it. Why? He's the new Rock. So what that the Miz used Nexus to weaken up Orton. Edge took the title from Cena after his retained his title in Hell in the Cell. CM Punk took the belt from Jeff Hardy after he won it from Edge in a Ladders match.

The Age of AWESOME has begon!

WOW! I cant believe you would have the nerve to call the Miz, the new Rock.

there will never.....AND THE ROCK MEANS NEVER! be another Rock! he was the Ultimate Promo machine. and could work a crowd better then any WWE superstar, and that includes SCSA.

after reading this, I had to go on youtube and watch Promos. the Rock's, and the Miz's. there was NO comparison. even as a heel, he still commanded total respect from the crowd. Miz cant do that, and I really ever doubt he will.

but once again, Congrats Miz on winning your 1st WWE world title!

The day has arrived. Miz as the WWE Champion. There was a lot of opportunities to cash in the brief case since he won it, and the few times he tried. I was always dissapointed, until tonight. i thought something fishy was going on when The Miz decided not to wrestle. I was so nervous when Orton was setting up for the RKO, and what do u know The Miz reversed it. I literally jumped out of my couch when he reversed it and hit the SCF. As he got the 3 count i found myself doing the Michael Cole clap and started dancing...haha.. What a great Raw. The Era of Awesome has arrived....BY THE WAY, DID YOU SEE ALL THE SALTY LOOKS ON THE PEOPLE'S FACES IN THE CROWD? SIMPLY AWESOME

You have to remember one key thing, there are 2 world titles, 2 brands, and because of a larger audience, the internet, and more, world title reigns are much shorter, in an effort not to seem stale.

That being said, I don't really think it was Miz's time, I just can't see how credible this reign is going to be. Miz has no credibilly not just because he hasn't beaten a legit opponent in god knows how long, it's because the Miz isn't strong enough in the ring to be considered a thread.

I mean look at Miz, he has no in ring style. He's not a power guy obviously, but he doesn't have any speed, he isn't a high flyer, isn't a technician, submission artist, or anything, he does a couple of generic moves which he often doesn't really do well, and then an awful finisher. Truthfully I can't ever really see him beating midcarders, not too sure how WWE is going to sell him beating legit main. It's ok to be a chicken shit heel, but there has to be some kind validity to make it an interesting matchup. Of all the other top flight heels, Sheamus, Kane, Punk, Jericho, Barett.. I can see all of them actually winning against any of the faces legit.

Great Raw. I haven't marked out like that in a long long time watching WWE. Also, did anyone else notice how creepy that little girl was that they showed after the Miz won the gold? I thought they were filming some extra scenes for a new Exorcist movie! As for whether the Miz is ready or not, I say he is totally ready. Here is a guy who really has paid his dues, lets not forget that he has been around for a while now, really had to struggle with a hell of a lot of disrespect in the back, but he's worked his ass off and totally deserves to be at the top of the ladder. Great on the mic, great in the ring, just AWESOME!!!!!

very happy the miz won marked out the whole seven minutes it was going down. now eveeyone in my sig except for one future champion(Wade barrett) has solidified himself in the Hall of Champions.......

This has to be by far the worst decision I have seen from WWE in a long time. I will admit that it was nice to see a surprise like a title change on RAW, but I just hate THE MIZ. He is nothing more than a poor mans version of THE ROCK and Mr. KENNEDY put together. The only exception is that THE ROCK and Mr. KINNEDY can actually wrestle.

Allowing THE MIZ to hold the WWE TITLE just spits in the face of everyone that held that title b4 him.

P.S. The Miz sucks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I already knew what was gonna happen, and it was STILL fucking brilliant. If I had seen it live, I would have totally shit. Just utterly gorgeous how WWE set it up, with the tons of chaos and focus being put on Cena and Nexus and Orton. People can talk all this shit about clues, but there werent really any if we are being serious.

I also didnt have the benefit of knowing how much was left of the show while watching it, and I doubt many people think of it.

Amazing set up, perfectly executed. I dont know what in the fuck has been in the water this year, but WWE continues its trend of excellence

Personally, I think this is the best decision the WWE has made in a long time. Last night was such a good PPV and they knew people would tune in tonight for John Cenas farewell and in the main event Orton retains and bang! Here comes Miz. Crowd on there feet and I was marking out myself. Then Miz got slammed Orton looking RKO and I am sure I wasn't the only one thinking Miz was going to lose. Then SCF and we have a new WWE champion. The WWE now have begun the Era of Awesome, trust me, this won't be transitional. It sets up for a Orton-Miz feud aswell as a non-title fued between Cena and Barrett which should carry to 'Mania. Hopefully.

after Survivor Series i really was disliking WWE creative. It was such a let down.. however what they pulled off tonight was AMAZING, not to mention AWESOME!

Miz is exactly the kind of attitude and superstar they need to take them out of the PG/Cena Era.

Whoohoo!!!!! Cena Gone, Miz Champ, Punk as commentator & Nexus getting a bigger reaction then ever from the crowd... I see WWE becoming interesting again!! I am so excited to see what develops between now and Wrestlemania.

we now have a new landscape of Superstars and a brand new era is upon us. Good work wwe, you have my attention now!!

Finally! Man I was worried like others here that Miz would the first MITB winner to cash it in and NOT win the championship! But I'm so glad to be proved wrong. It would have been better to see the Miz establish himself in some main event feuds before this, but as long as he's treated better then Swagger was, I reckon he'll do alright.

CAUSE HE'S THE MIZ!....and you know the rest.

you really are a yougin aren'tcha? Its all good. When i say years in the game i'm referring to being a fan of wrestling not a wrestler. As far as me sitting around looking for something to dish on.....i'm assuming this is coming from a person with an EXTREME amount of experience dishing in forums seeing that you're adding pictures of "what I looked like when Miz won" (you took a little time looking for that picture just to try and one up me huh?) and what not. I am allowed to say what I feel and I did. You are allowed to disagree. And you have. Well done grasshopper. Gold star, this is called a conversation/debate. See if you can get extra credit for all this in one of your high school classes tomorrow.
I don't think Miz should have won. My opinion. You think hes AAWWEESOOMEE (the most ridiculous catch phrase of all time)...but hey. thats fine too.
And we'll both go on living.

End of the day you're moaning about the Miz saying you wont be a fan anymore because he's the champ, yet you've still been a fan for years after Great Khali won it. Stop bitching you divvy cunt. There's been plenty through history who should've won it but didn't, but times are different. It's not going to be the longest reign in history but it should spice things up. Hell, Edge's first reign was rather short but he hasn't done too badly since.

And if saying "I'm Awesome" is the worst catch-phrase in history then you're talking bollocks. Having JBL stating "i'm a wrestling God" or Matt Hardy's "Matt Hardy will not die" or "It's me, it's me, it's DDP" would quite easily be miles worse...Not quite Jeff Jarrett's "listen up slapnuts" level, but all miles worse then The Miz's.

Dude are you FUCKING ******ed. The Miz is a fat piece of crushed horse shit compared to the rock, The miz bores the hell out of me, and it ruined raw for me, evn though Cena gave an Amazing promo that I actually enjoyed. Miz isn't ready yet to be wwe champion, hes total shit in the ring.

When he pinned orton there was NO CROWD reaction, I swear If it wasn't for his music you could hear a fly rip ass. When punk,Kane, edge, and basically all the rest of the former mitb winners cashed in they got some reaction, miz got none. This was so fucking stupid, and only makes miz look weak, beacuse orton got jumped by nexus, fought wade barret, and then actually held off the miz for a coulpe of minutes, yet people are going around saying Miz will have a year run, or main event Wrestlemania, or is the next rock. Well guess what people if miz DOES main event WM or/and have a year reign it only a matter of time before WWE reaches its armagedon, since Miz already set the timer.

:banghead::devil::devil:

It is extremely nice to see someone else new in the WWE title picture. It seems like the main event picture will be young and energetic for some time.

There are now many possibilities for matches/storylines with Miz, JoMo, Sheamus, Barrett, Bryan, and Zeke Jackson.

Congrats to the Miz. This title change has me more excited about WWE then I have been. I had a good feeling that we were going to see him cash in the MITB at 11:00, when Otron's match with Barrett ended and there was still 8 minutes left in the show. As someone that was very critical of Miz at the start of his career, I have to say that he is pulling his own weight and can stand on his wrestling ability alone.

Here's to an entertaining title run!

This argument is so full of horseshit that I could smell it in New Jersey.

Check this out...

Absolutely ZERO reaction when Kane's pyro hit. Not until he turned in the briefcase did we hear any kind of crowd reaction... and when he pinned Rey his pop was just as loud as when Miz pinned Orton.

As for guys like Edge and CM Punk, when they cashed in, the concept was brand new. Therefore, the crowd made huge reactions because they couldn't believe what they were seeing.

Lastly, to further back up my argument, here is Swagger's cash-in video...

Same reaction.

Now look at the Miz's cash-in...

The crowd was similar, only louder.

Don't you understand... when heels cash in their MITB opportunities, the crowd reactions are full of disbelief. Hence the reason why they're not exploding with cheers. The Miz is a heel... plain and simple. He's probably the biggest heel on Raw which is the reason why they gave him the title so early in his career. He is a rare gem in the pro-wrestling world and deserves what was given to him because he was able to make guys like you legitimately hate him.

The crowd reaction during his cash-in means absolute shit. Fact of the matter is that he's a tremendous wrestler, a masterful mic worker, and a big heel draw. There is no heel more suitable to wear the WWE championship and fill the void of John Cena's departure than the Miz. Just because YOU don't like him doesn't mean jack shit. Millions of fans can't be wrong... but you sure can be.
