Raw was absolutely awful tonight, and I agree with each of you that have stated as such. I still don't think it was as bad as ZZ Top, as I have that ranked as the worst Raw of the year ... but it was pretty damn close. With Sharpton next week, it isn't bound to be much better.
I think we are finally realizing that underneath the Guest Host concept, which adds a couple unique segments each week, it is in reality still the same show with the same wrestlers, wrestling the same people every single week.
Bob Barker was probably the only exception to the rule, where they really set the tone for a very different show. Besides that, he was phenomenal and clearly covered up a lot of the same weekly action just by shining as a great host.
But that is my problem, in that it is still the same Raw every single week. Same matches. Same wrestlers. Same feuds repeated over and over again. Just nothing new.
I got like this before when Adamle and Vickie were GM's of Raw because the action got so stale every week, and I was just sick of it. Then, I saw them doing the angle with Trump and actually thought WWE was turning over a new leaf ... only to see it last one whole week.
Time to turn Raw off again indefinitely. There are quite a few things to watch on Monday nights beside Raw at this point. At this point I was only watching Raw and ECW, but I will either solely watch ECW ... or I may give Smackdown another chance, along with ECW. But Raw and Superstars are off.
