who was the masked guy tonight he was good i hope thay sign him full time?

I thought it was Ezekiel Jackson, but I'm not sure he was big enough.

Anyways.......

Raw sucked more than a pornstar on the set of her next movie. Seriously, it was bad. The guest host idea was good for a little while, but now it is starting to get old and really putting a damper on the show. Only a few of the hosts have been decent, the rest have been crap. Cedric, who I find very funny, just didn't seem to fit into the show. And next week we get Al Sharpton...OH GOD! I might not tune in next week, that or I'll DVR it and just watch the good stuff.

Yeah, Cedric wasn't too great tonight, but I knew he'd suck as soon as he was announced as guest host. The opening segment was terrible, BUT compared to the Taker/Teddy limo segment, watchable....sorta.

For a comedian guest host, the comedy tonight was horrible, but he is an R rated comedian on a PG show so he tried. I'm surprised he got away with saying jackass, and even more surprised that King repeated it. The only thing that made me laugh was his outfit; he looked like a black Nacho Libre. Whoever that big dude was, they should just sign him and team him with Henry so MVP can freshen up the WWE title scene.

Raw was absolutely awful tonight, and I agree with each of you that have stated as such. I still don't think it was as bad as ZZ Top, as I have that ranked as the worst Raw of the year ... but it was pretty damn close. With Sharpton next week, it isn't bound to be much better.

I think we are finally realizing that underneath the Guest Host concept, which adds a couple unique segments each week, it is in reality still the same show with the same wrestlers, wrestling the same people every single week.

Bob Barker was probably the only exception to the rule, where they really set the tone for a very different show. Besides that, he was phenomenal and clearly covered up a lot of the same weekly action just by shining as a great host.

But that is my problem, in that it is still the same Raw every single week. Same matches. Same wrestlers. Same feuds repeated over and over again. Just nothing new.

I got like this before when Adamle and Vickie were GM's of Raw because the action got so stale every week, and I was just sick of it. Then, I saw them doing the angle with Trump and actually thought WWE was turning over a new leaf ... only to see it last one whole week.

Time to turn Raw off again indefinitely. There are quite a few things to watch on Monday nights beside Raw at this point. At this point I was only watching Raw and ECW, but I will either solely watch ECW ... or I may give Smackdown another chance, along with ECW. But Raw and Superstars are off.

Cedric was one of the worst guest hosts RAW has had. I just think he was trying too hard and it really showed. The Chavo/Cedric match was a little bit funny but nothing that had me rolling in stitches. For some reason, I think Sharpton will be a better host than Cedric but we'll see what happens.

ive been folloowing what is going on with the guest hosts of raw Mr.Mcmahon has had some good one and some bad ones.I dont get why Mcmahon would hire reverend al sharpton to be the guest host of raw??? Ive heard that he is pretty boreing and that will just take some of the fun out of raw. He is a former presidential candidate. Mcmahon need to have someone with an exiting personality. I think that mcmahon should get donald trump to host raw. First of all he was the one that started the guest host concept in the first place.Edge might make a good host since he is injured and has been away from wwe for so long. personaly i think the guest host concept is great just its a little to much they should have a guest host every other week. that would make raw a little easyer to ge into every week. I cant eve remeber what raw was like when the guest hosts didnt exist.

i want everybody to post their comments on what they think about the guest hosts that raw has had so far. Comment on who you would like to see as future guest host and who has done the best job as guest host.

this is my first ever thread so bare with me here

cedric ws not avery good host in fact he was the worst out of all of them. Cedric was not a fan and I could tell that he barely knew any of the superstars names. When he was joking about the 2nd and 3rd generation superstars names he couldnt remeber them and he started stammering and he looked behing him to see the pictures. Mcmahon needs to choose better hosts. Its not his fault they charge him millions of dollars just to appear on the show so hes doing the best he can

Cedric was a pretty bad idea for a guest host, but the skits were worst then anything he could do. I think if he was allowed to cut loose it would of been better, but then again this comedian hasn't been relevant for 10 years. The comedy skits were god awful, it's like the WWE are trying to incorporate the attitude era with PG and it just ends up being stupid. I've seen Jerry Springer shows that were more entertaining and less offensive.

They need to end this concept fast. Everyone was for it when it started out with Batista, Million Dollar Man, Seth Green, and Shaq. Once they saw ZZ Top, Piven, and Cedric it was down hill from there. No one can up with a valid excuse to continue having these celebrity hosts on Raw now. I'm fine with athletes mixing it up with talent but Al Sharpton? Seriously? Why don't we have Dr.Phil and Arsenio Hall while we're at it. Two other irrelevant people that are starved for attention.

It seems every host has to plug something, whether it be a stupid DVD, book, or a horrible movie that no one gives a crap about. WWE needs to cut back on the stupid comedy skits and either tweak the guest host concept or throw it out all together. I think WWE will lose even more viewers if they don't get rid of this monstrosity.

I wish Bischoff was a guest host for an episode. That has the potential to be one of the best episodes since the Shaq one. We need a heel type guest host.

Um...Big Ben? Really? I am a Steelers fan (living in Central PA and all), but really? My team is 1-2, and has the Chargers coming in Sunday. I don't want Ben thinking at all about WWE Monday night.

Hopefully, though, the offensive line (which is supposedly accompanying Ben) will get owned by Big Show. Couldn't hurt, right?

What do you think about Big Ben being the guest host next week?

Should be interesting to say in the least. I'm a big Steelers fan myself, so my wife and I were floored by the announcement.

Still, I don't think it should distract him from Sunday...at least I hope not.

Well at least Sharpton wasn't a key vocal point of the show except for certain commercials I saw. But we had to expect something along those lines.

I liked how little Sharpton involved himself this week. He did his buisiness and the commentators and commercials put over his cause on their own. He had two or three very small segments which was fine. He did the best job so far because he stayed out of most of it. I can't wait for Roethlisberger next week.

This is going to be VERY exciting and interesting. I'm a big Steelers fan so as a fan you know I'm going to enjoy this.......but first they have to beat the Chargers. That'll make the show better and easier to watch. And as for his O-Line, I hope they do some kind of angle with the Big Show and Big Ben. That would be classic!

I hope they do something with Big ben and Big Show at Bragging Rights as well.

has anyone else noticed that santino is only being used to joke around with the guests hosts but he also had a match with hornswoggle which was always a joke. also kelly kelly has been seen backstage talking to the guests hosts but is always interupted. but:shrug:

WWE always does something big when they come to New York. On Nov 16 they will be at MSG. I hope this is the RAW that the Rock guest hosts, because I will be there.

This morning Saturday Night Live cast member Andy Samberg appeared on 97 Rock's Norton in the Morning Show out of Buffalo, New York to talk about his upcoming comedy show called Andy and Friends. When one of the hosts asked him if he had any other upcoming projects he said he had been contacted to host an upcoming RAW episode in October emanating from Buffalo. RAW is scheduled for Buffalo on the 26'th later this month. After the hosts joked with him asking if he had to wear tights to get that gig Samberg laughed it off and said no but he would be debuting a new Digital Short he's been working on for RAW starring some of the WWE Superstars.

So, it looks like SNL cast member Andy Samberg will be hosting an upcoming episode of Raw. I actually think that could turn out pretty good, Samberg is very funny and the Digital Shorts are always great, who knows, maybe we could see some comedy on Raw that's actually, y'know, funny.

I do wish the guest hosts gimmick would die immediately, but having Samberg host should atleast be entertaining.

I think there should be more WWE superstars hosting instead of all these celebrities. They are only there to promote whatever they are doing in their career right now. I would love to see stone cold, rock, or any other past superstar. They know the business and are true fans. How do we know that these celebrities really watch wrestling? If that can't happen then just give us a good general manager.

i'm not saying that it would be the best show, but it would be interesting if they could talk to brock lesnar and have him do a show. again not the most awesome, but alot of hype [more than likely would be a fail tho]

also they should have a female to do the show. despite the fact that there arent that many female celebrity wwe fans. i would say megan fox, but it seems like thatd be pretty lame

I think the Guest Host concept is hit and miss. It all depends on the host's familiarity with the product, and on his or her ability to perform in front of WWE fans...for as we all can attest, wrestling fans are unforgiving. When Cedric the Entertainer mispronounced Bob Orton's name, or when Jeremy Piven mistakenly uttered "Summerfest," they were assailed with boos.

In my opinion, the best guest host so far has been Shaq, for he is admittedly a huge wrestling fan, and the interaction he had with the superstars felt natural and unrehearsed. Especially with Chris Jericho and The Big Show. Plus, it got Raw a few mentions on the unholy SportsCenter.

Next week the guest hosts are going to be Nancy O'Dell and Maria Menounos from Access Hollywood. Aside from being nice eye candy (Menounos = drool), I hope they at least perform as well as Ben Roethlisberger is doing this week. He is doing a solid job, in my opinion.

having Ben was the best idea so far..he's actually a fan and did a great job on the air and performed alot like he does on the field out there in the ring on the mic haha

i hated hearing that Prinze jr was a host but you could tell he was a fan so it was actually a decent affair

the piven episode was still funny and one of the better ones hahaha

slaughter KILLED the crowd so many times i love it, and the way he flubbed his lines

shaqs ep was one of the best in the beginning

MDM was also one of the better eps. love the money man!!

zz top was zzzzzzzz

seth greens was avg

Anyone think there could be a the possibility of Carl Edwards hosting Raw once the Nascar season is over? Him and John Cena are friends so there is the connection there. I think that might be kind of cool.

With the pressure from USA networks for vince to have guest hosts for raw each week to boost ratings i am surprised they are not using more of the stars from their own original series as guest hosts while staying in their character. So my question to the forum is. Out of the different shows on the USA Network who do you think would make a good Raw Guest Host.
I think Monk could be a comical one.
I know they are having ICE-T on so that covers Law and Order SVU
Perhaps Michael Weston from Burn Notice. I apologize if this sounds like a stupid post but i was just wondering other users take on USA not taking advantage of the RAW Guest Host. So in short, Your pick for guest host and why

Umm yeah, thats the whole point why they do the show. Pretty much the whole point why any celeb does any tv show these days. When the Rock guest host, he will do it because hes there to promote his new movie. I think its better for WWE to have celebrity host because it puts them in the mainstream media. I think for the most part, aside from a few host, they've gotten host that are fans of WWE. They also seem genuinely excited to be apart of the big show.

This is only the beginning. If they keep this up and all goes well, WWE will start to gain more respect from the mainstream media. Which is great considering how wrestling is looked at as taboo in the entertainment industry. Sooner or later, hosting WWE RAW will be the "thing to do" just like how it was "cool" to watch wrestling in the Attitude Era.
