Hmm maybe Flair? I mean apperantly the whole guest host thing is pretty much making Orton's career hell. Who better than Flair, the man Orton kicked in the skull. I'm sure he'll get a pretty good pop. But I hope they book Flair right 'coz I'm tired of Flair acting like he still matters, when the fact of the matter is this a fresh and new generation focus on it you old fool! (No offense to Flair or Flair fans lol.)

So. Flair doesn't matter, but you want him be GM of Raw. Yeah. OK. That makes perfect sense.

Unless they go the "Dibiase paid us again to have him host another Raw!" route, another legend would be just fine. Flair would do, though I personally don't like the man's wrestling or promos at all. Dusty Rhodes would do, especially if he did a "Cody, what are you doing? Orton attacked me months ago!" promo on Raw. After that, you don't really have anymore that are directly involved with Orton and company.

Of course, you don't have to go with someone that is directly linked with Legacy. Steamboat will do just as fine. Any legend, really. They'll all work.

There is only one person that is GM host next week, and that is The American Dream Dusty Rhodes. There is no way Ted Sr. gets away with putting himself over Dusty like he did while Cody stood there taking it so that he wouldn't be fired. Dusty has to come out, and fire back with his son going against Randy Orton. Honestly, I think Cody should actually beat Randy by an assist from his brother Dustin. As a matter of fact Teddy should be taken out by Goldust in the back. This would give a story for the night of "who did it?". Orton would start to get paranoid, and think it was Cody setting him up.

Dusty should come out, and raise his son's hand. The crowd cheering, and then out of no where a wicked lariat from Cody to his father. Blows a snot rocket on his father, and then kicks him down. Followed by a some spit to the face. Cody turns, and his brother just lets him on out of the ring peacefully. At the end of the show Cody is shown helping his "friend", and tag team partner Teddy Dibiase to their car.

From this it shows the bond between two friends with one thing in common, both of their father's are trying to live their careers through them, and they want no part of it. Both resent their father's Legacy, and thus found themselves better off without Orton's Legacy because thats all it was ever about, Orton's Legacy. This story would allow them to finally become their "own".

Edge is a good possibility, keep him on the show and they could start the face turn this way before his return. They could also use this to keep the titles on Edge & Jericho although it would only save them for 1 week.... Hmmmm

Ric Flair, this would be boring but highly probable.
Bob Orton, see Flair.
Dusty Rhodes, see Flair.

Umm, what about Donald Trump LOL

I dunno really but as said in another post I think if it was going to be like a big celebrity they would have announced it last Monday OR they would have at least told us a big celebrity would be hosting next week or whatever. Dunno, could be anyone but it'll probably be shit as RAW usually is these days.

Most likely, the best option would be to have Dusty Rhodes be the guest GM. It keeps up the storyline about Legacy and it gives the fans someone new to look at for the day. It could be fun.

The week after, though? They should go with a celebrity. Book them ahead of time and plug it on Monday night, saying next week's host will be "blah blah blah" so they get a little media coverage. But when doing so, pick someone who is a WWE fan who would actually like to do it - don't just pick someone who is the flavor of the month or whatever. For instance...and hear me out on this...you pick Adam Sandler. He's been seen at WWE events over the years, right? So he's clearly a fan. The guy is a comedian and a performer, so you don't have to worry about him being camera shy or anything. He currently has a movie coming out, so he might want to do it if you put a deal in there where they'll do a quick plug. Would you really care if Lawler said "by the way everyone, Adam has a new movie coming out called Funny People. You should check it out"? I wouldn't. Now if they mentioned it 30 times in the episode like they do with the fucking rewinds and 12-Rounds shit, then yeah, it would be annoying. But could you imagine how many people would tune into Raw if they heard that Adam Sandler was going to be the guest host for the night? Essentially, that's what the WWE wants to do with this....gain ratings....so they might as well go all-out and get someone who's been interested in the WWE but offers some notoriety as well.

Is Sandler the same as having some wrestling legend like Randy Savage come back and do it? No. It doesn't have nearly as much meaning and I'm sure we'd all love to see Savage back. But when it comes to business, Sandler would make so much better of a choice. Personally I hope they keep this up for a while, as its rather interesting. They just need to do something fun and exciting each week rather than get into some random publicity rut, or worse...the writers get to it and try to put their "oh so great comedic wit" to use and make Hornswoggle the GM for the night. You know they'll fuck it up and do that at some point, unfortunately. Until they fuck it up, I'll be a supporter of the guest GM role. So really, we have one or two more episodes before that happens lol.

n a monumental, unprecedented announcement, Seth Green, comedic star of both film and television, will appear as the Special Guest General Manager this Monday night on Raw.

Seth Green is the co-creator & producer of the hit stop-motion TV series Robot Chicken, which airs as part of Comedy Network’s Adult Swim block. Green also does many of the voices on the show, a talent he has shown amazing skill in throughout his celebrated career, and has even appeared in animated form.

Among his numerous credits on both the big and small screen, Green left his audience in stitches as the estranged son of Dr. Evil in all three Austin Powers films, fought the good fight in Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The TV Series, and voices Chris Griffin in the hit cartoon series Family Guy.

Green’s appearance on Monday Night Raw is sure to shake things up like never before. And the entire WWE Universe waits in eager anticipation to find out what the comic genius co-creator of Robot Chicken has in store for the Superstars of the of the squared circle

This is a very interesting choice. I guess they were serious why they said celebrities would be coming in. This is a complete wild card. He is coming in with nothing to make him heel or face, no preset storylines, no connections, nothing. Overall, I really can't see Green making any big announcements next week.

Umm....

First of all, I'm not sure where the Wwe is going with this but hopefully it won't be a 2 hour comedy skit with Santino humping Green's left leg...

Do you think Raw will get some good from this or do you think it's a complete joke??? Do you think the superstars will take this seriously or will just poke some fun at robot chicken? Thought?

I think you will see Miz poke fun at this, this is gonna be a big crap fest I think so whatever, like I said watch Miz, John Cena, MVP, Swagger, Santino all make some sort of poke at him.

Seth Green isn't some horrible actor that is going to drag Raw down. He's famous enough to get a pop from the crowd, and likable enough to put the stick to Legacy and the crowd believe it. Nothing will be shit just because a non-wrestler is running Raw for one fucking night. I swear, condemning the man before he's even stepped out from behind the curtain.

He'll go on, crack some jokes maybe, and make Orton's life all kinds of hell. Like a good celebrity Face GM would. It'll be fine. The feuds will carry the show. Like they always do. Though you SHOULD expect a few exchanges between Green and Orton/some other heels that will end in him cracking silly jokes because they want to get him to help them out. That'll be the worst thing that Green being on Raw will cause.

Patience people, patience. We're not going to have another David Arquette on our hands.

I cant wait for someone to come on as GM and be the 7 year old that we all were. The 7 year old that makes dream matches and doesnt care about booking or anything. How fun would that be?

Umm, ok I want a Hell in A Cell match between HHH and John Cena.....

and, I want Orton to fight Jeff Hardy in a first blood match...

and I want Jericho to fight the Undertaker in a casket match...

and I want a Royal rumble match.

This would be the greatest GM ever. I mean honestly, why would Seth Green care about booking, or injuries? A real celebrity would just want to be entertained.

This could be a fun night if they don’t overdo it with the comedy, which I am certain we will see. There’s probably going to be a few funny skits here and there if they allow Seth to write some of the material, probably featuring Santino and Goldust with Horny.

Anyways, I think we should wait and see before we start saying he is going to do a horrible job as the Host or General Manager (or whatever they are called) of Raw. He will probably be booking some matches that the live crowd and the people watching at home want to see. After all he probably wants to do an entertaining show.

Like I said this should be a fun night if they don’t overdo the comedy and we shouldn’t make bad judgments before we even see anything he is going to do.

I agree with many of the above post, and want to add that basically what keeps this situation from being anything bad is that it is, in fact, just a one night deal. Like was said, Seth probably will provide some great comedy with Santino and maybe Hornswoggle, and since he has no loyalties to faces or heels I'm guessing we might just get some random and fun/entertaining matches. In fact, if WWE wanted to go a different direction with any of their storylines, this is a great opportunity to do it, which isn't bad at all for us, the fans.

And, if you are a stick-in-the-arse purist and can't stand this sort of thing, well, its only one night!

I'm a wrestling purist and think this is a bad fucking idea. I know that when I think WWE, I think Robot Chicken or Austin Powers. I mean, c'mon. There's no point to this, other than for him to either promote something he's involved with like his cartoon show or something. It'll be good for a few laughs and the like, but as far as a wrestling show, this doesn't set well for me.

And Razorback, I've never disagreed with you on ANYTHING, but I have to on this. This will be a ratings disaster, unless they have a strong card to build on. Wrestling purists that watch the show to see actual wrestling will not be tuning in to see Seth Green crack jokes and ramble on about things he may or may not know about. Ugh. I'd rather the WWE stick to having WWE HOF'ers or guys on the shelf doing the job. And this gave me a THREAD idea.

Seth Green is one of my favorite actors. But it wouldn't be smart to put him on the show. Sure he will get a pop from the crowd, but unless he is truly a die hard wrestling fan, and the writers don't make it a comedy show, it will just be funny, serious, funny, all night. Now I will wait for Raw to come before I say it will be horrible, who knows, maybe the comedy will serve its purpose in each feud. I think it would have been more interesting to bring in Dusty Rhodes as GM, maybe to build off of what Ted Sr was doing. Plus Ted Sr talking about Dusty just being a common man, it would have been cool to see Dusty talk to Ted Jr about his dad. Oh well, I guess we just have to tune in on Monday night to check it out.

I wonder what music Seth Green would come out to, if any at all.

I like Seth, but does he even know anything about wrestling? I would much rather the WWE stick to bringing in injured guys like Batista to keep them in the fans minds or bring in some HoF'ers like Dibiase. I don't see how having someone like Seth Green will benefit the stories much. I know the creative team still controls what happens in the episode, but say they do let Green pick a match or two. I don't want to see Hornswoggle versus Miz just cause it would get a few laughs.

This is nothing more than a pay day for Seth. He will just have read the lines wwe gives him. Wwe gets brought up on adult swims website maybe some news stations pick it up. Plus a robot chicken DVD is coming out soon, star wars 2. So I'm sure he will bring that up and that's it. It is not different than having John Cena throw the first pitch at a baseball game. I am really surprised at how everyone is taking this.

I'm looking forward to this (check my name, you'll know why). Seth, no matter how shitty his lines are, can deliver. Plus, and trust me on this, he is a wrestling fan and could pull off the "star-struck, mark celebrity" bit that is inevitably gonna happen. On the flip side, I honestly can see creative making him look like a jackass, getting ripped on by the Superstars.

As an aside, how fuckin' awesome would it be to hear the Buffy theme before he comes out? But, he'll more than likely get either a generic song, or Robot Chicken. Hey, maybe next Monday, it'll be Joss Whedon!

Are the superstars going to take this seriously you ask? It's a show, of course they're going to take it seriously. They'll be doing what they are told to do. I'm going to assume that he'll be a face GM and since he's a small comedic dude he'll make some "stacked against the heels" matches if WWE actually wants to play it ok.

I do like the guest hosting, it's good for WWE from a business/entertianment perspective and it adds something new each week. I think Seth Green is a good choice.

My bet though is that RAW will run on the same predictable formula it's been running on for years now.

I think the WWE is using this as a way of trying to figure out what direction they need to go. Each week having a new gm/host gives them every excuse to go any which way with things. They take a look at the crowd reaction to how Dibiase ran things. They'll do it with Seth and whoever else. This is hunting for a pulse. What do the fans want? Will they like this? or this? how bout this? They'll be carefully looking at what the fans go for right now we are all an audience of lab rats. They're looking for a cure, they might lose some of us, they might gain some people. If no cure is found, they'll just go back to what they were doing. This is an experiment.

That or it's just another desperate early/mid summer with people injured and vacationing and they're just buying time.

I think this is a bad move on WWE's part, nothing against Seth Green I think he is funny. But WWE needs to stop looking at cross promotion with just random people just to broaden their demographic. They need to improve the quality of their product week in week out in order to keep these new fans interested, in particular their "flagship" show Raw. SD is currently far more entertaining than raw. Bringing in people like, Donald Trump, Sherri Shephard & Seth Green only attact new fans for a short period of time. How good was Ted Di Biase as GM! A WWE legend who knows what they are doing and is a fresh face, Ricky Steamboat is another example, someone who brings quality to the show.

I don't think there will be THAT big of a difference with him. Just like million dollar man last week, he will come out, announce a few matches for the night, announce how he (wwe in his ear) will handle the edge injury situation, maybe announce the NOC US title match, then return to his "office" where you might get a few short backstage skits with him, santino, hornswaggle, and maybe a few other superstars, then depending on the main event he might return to end the show. I highly doubt his presence will be degrading to the show's atmosphere, if anything they will gain some publicity from it.

It's not gonna make much of a difference as he'll just announce a few matches for the night, make some announcements(Vince & company bein in his ear) about some major developments(Edge injury & unified tag team title situation), announce some NOC matches & then return to "his office" & do some short comedy skits with himself, Santino & Hornswoggle.

I really doubt that him being on RAW will add any negative publicity & affect the show's atmosphere.

In all honesty i'd rather have had Dusty Rhodes or Bob Orton as Raw's host for this week to further the development of Ted DiBiase Jr's possible face turn, but that's just my opinion.

All I can say is, "Damn". What happened to my beloved WWE? They have lowered themselves to ratings schemes and gimmicks and they have completely lost focus of what's important in professional wrestling. This won't change the show, but it is a testament to how desperate the WWE is becoming for ratings. This will not create long term viewers or draw fans into the product, which is what the WWE wants. Let the shit show begin.

I actually think it'll be quite fun. Obiviously there aren't that many big celebs willing to come to Raw for one night, so if Seth cares enough to come I think he'll do a decent job. He doesn't really need to "know" anything about wrestling, it's not like he'll be in a match or at the announce table.

He just has to get out and talk a few times on the mic, do something against Orton if he's a face GM or do something to help him if he's heel, and give us some funny moments. I don't get all the complaints, at least it's something different and unpredictable. The guest host has actually produced 2 pretty good Raws in a row, which is much better than the Legacy 3 on 1 beatdown in the main event period.

We never no seth might come out n be a complete asshole i mean he's n actor & he played a good asshole in Entourage. Randy has had a few tough weeks on raw. This might be his week to have off get the upper hand. Maybe seth will have a problem with Cena's movies or something... I dont no this post was mainly to get to number 10 :P
