**MERGED** John Cena Heel Turn Speculation

First of all, people need to shut up about merchandise sales if Cena turns heel. WHO CARES?! You guys act like Cena is the only guy who sells merchandise. And all the anti cena fans will start to like cena and some of his fans from when he was a babyface will adapt to him as heel and buy whatever merchandise he wears. I know for sure there is just as much anti cena fans as there are his kiddy/girl fans. But anyways, here are some clues about Cena ive seemed to realized since after the Money in the Bank PPV.

#1 - After the cage match between Sheamus and Cena, Cena took out Michael Tarver with the steel steps. Right after that, he took his Nexus Armband and just left with it in his hand and the show ended.

#2 - Putting Bret Hart on team WWE. Ok, this guy can't wrestle so there's gotta be another reason he's on the team. Either him joining Nexus also or him in there just for Cena to beat up in the end while he joins Nexus to get Cena a lot of heat.

#3 - Jericho and Edge coming back to team WWE. If the WWE had not chosen to put them back on, team WWE would be full of mid carders and jobbers along with Cena which would make the team look like crap. Putting them back on made us think that with them there now, they have a chance to beat Nexus but in reality, it will make Cena look more badass by joining Nexus and beating up 2 heels which could lead to Jericho and/or Edge as a face sometime soon.

#4 - Wade Barrett Promos. So i'm sure most of you know in Barrett's promos he says "There is a much bigger picture" blah blah. But carefully listening to what he said this past week on Raw. "Monday Night Raws will never be the same after Summerslam and Nexus will be the most powerful after Sunday". He didn't say those exact words but basically something like that.

#5 - Summerslam Main Event - The Main event at Summerslam is Team WWE vs Nexus. Obviously there is going to be a twist at the end for this being the main event. If this was just going to be a regular match, the main event should be the WWE Championship match between Sheamus and Orton. What I think the twist will be is Cena joining Nexus.

Now I know a lot of you probably disagree on some of these things but these are pretty much my predictions which I feel is the right thing to happen. Thanks for reading!

I don't think that's gonna happen.

WHO CARES?!

WWE.

You guys act like Cena is the only guy who sells merchandise.

No. He's not. But, if you read carefully, we said he sells the most merchandise, which brings millions of bucks to the WWE.

And all the anti cena fans will start to like cena and some of his fans from when he was a babyface will adapt to him as heel and buy whatever merchandise he wears.

Ant-Cena fans will like him, but how the fuck do you know other fans will just
"adapt" to him as heel? Kids will just boo him.

#2 - Putting Bret Hart on team WWE. Ok, this guy can't wrestle so there's gotta be another reason he's on the team. Either him joining Nexus also or him in there just for Cena to beat up in the end while he joins Nexus to get Cena a lot of heat.

Or, your looking to far into this. He's on the team, cause Nexus attacked him. He's there, to keep team RAW constructed. Did you notice how WWE team got back together as soon as Bret Hart was back on the show?

it will make Cena look more badass by joining Nexus and beating up 2 heels which could lead to Jericho and/or Edge as a face sometime soon.

First of all, Edge is staying heel. He sucks face. I'm not too sure about Jericho though, heard he was turning heel. But then again, internet can be a bunch of crap too. BTW, why the hell would Cena turn on team WWE? Look how stupid it sounds.

Cena to Barret: Okay, you guys have to come out and beat the shit out of me for a couple months and then I'll join your team at SummerSlam.

There could be many other twists too. Something involving heels, something involving Bret Hart.

Now I know a lot of you probably disagree on some of these things

You're right. But that doesn't mean your predictions are wrong. Of course, for some bizzare reason Cena could turn heel at SummerSlam...but highly unlikely.

Thanks for reading!

You're welcome.

I STILL don't understand why you people are CONVINCED cena will turn heel at summerslam. I just don't. It doesn't make a lick of sense, you people just want him to turn heel so desperately. There's no good reason.

I don't think that's gonna happen.

As if everyone who cares about the merchandise sales works for WWE. People ranting about it are pretty dumb but your right they won't stop talking about it.

WWE may care but why do all the fans care about his sales?

No. He's not. But, if you read carefully, we said he sells the most merchandise, which brings millions of bucks to the WWE.

Sure he sells a lot right now but it can't go on for that long. Eventually his character will stale if he stays as this superman face.

Ant-Cena fans will like him, but how the fuck do you know other fans will just
"adapt" to him as heel? Kids will just boo him.

I don't know if they will or not. That was my guess.

Or, your looking to far into this. He's on the team, cause Nexus attacked him. He's there, to keep team RAW constructed. Did you notice how WWE team got back together as soon as Bret Hart was back on the show?

Not really. If he's looking to be the manager/peacemaker in this group why would they waste a spot for him in this match? Could get 7 guys who can actually wrestle and make Bret the manager but no. That's not how it's going down. He's in there for Cena to kick his ass so he gets tons of heat for beating up a legend.

First of all, Edge is staying heel. He sucks face. I'm not too sure about Jericho though, heard he was turning heel. But then again, internet can be a bunch of crap too. BTW, why the hell would Cena turn on team WWE? Look how stupid it sounds.

Yeah I agree. Edge sucks as a face. I stated my observations of why cena would turn on team WWE already.

Cena to Barret: Okay, you guys have to come out and beat the shit out of me for a couple months and then I'll join your team at SummerSlam.

Back in the day, Vince Mcmahon got attacked so many times by the Ministry and in the end it turned out he was the leader. Stone Cold turned on the alliance after he got beat up for a few months. Hey, you can say its initiation.

You're right. But that doesn't mean your predictions are wrong. Of course, for some bizzare reason Cena could turn heel at SummerSlam...but highly unlikely.

Come on now. Cena is so overdue on his heel turn. Summerslam is the best time for him to go heel. Think about it. Nexus gets the most heat even when attacking top heels i.e Jericho and Edge. WWE would be dropping the ball if they keep him face.

As if everyone who cares about the merchandise sales works for WWE.

Actually, your right. No one who is over the age of 12 cares. Except, WWE is targeting little kids, so they care. If we care, it doesn't matter to them.

Sure he sells a lot right now but it can't go on for that long. Eventually his character will stale if he stays as this superman face.

Key Word: Eventually. Meaning, not right now.

Then maybe somethings gonna happen to Bret. Or Bret's gonna turn heel, or whatever. Not Cena.

Back in the day, Vince Mcmahon got attacked so many times by the Ministry and in the end it turned out he was the leader. Stone Cold turned on the alliance after he got beat up for a few months. Hey, you can say its initiation.

I still think it would be a dumb idea though.

Come on now. Cena is so overdue on his heel turn. Summerslam is the best time for him to go heel. Think about it. Nexus gets the most heat even when attacking top heels i.e Jericho and Edge. WWE would be dropping the ball if they keep him face.

True. But, first of all, they need a new "face of the company". Don't say Randy Orton, cause he doesn't fit the role. The new face, should be young *cough-cough THE MIZ cough*. So, WWE needs to wait a few more years.

Why does it matter if the FANS care about it or not? Vince will do what's best for his company and if it means keeping his top cash cow face then what does what the FANS say matter?

Why in the fuck would cena beat up bret hart? what would the logic be behind that? also, you're forgetting that he can't even get fake punched in the face. vince spat in his face and kicked him in the groin and jericho thumbed his eye, and you want cena to beat the hell out of him?

1. Sure that could have been a slight hint. It could also mean nothing.

2. Bret Hart is on the team because he has issues with Nexus. Just like everyone else on the team.

3. You haven't said WHY he would turn on his team.

4. So that pinpoints to a definite cena heel turn, right?

5. WHY do you think that will be the twist? WHY? Because of two insignificant hints?

1. There's gotta be a reason to it.

2. Okay he has issues with Nexus but this is a match and how do we expect him to compete? Obviously he's in there for a twist.

3. Yes I did

4. Not definite but more than 50% chance it will happen.

5. Are you expecting, a woohoo team WWE wins, Nexus is gone from WWE yay now Super cena and his team can continue to stale with the same PG storylines for years to come?

We can argue about all these things all we want but until Sunday we'll see what really happens. Can't wait

I am wondering if both John Cena AND Bret Hart are going to turn heel and align themselves with Nexus @ Summerslam. Bret certainly has a motive (to get back at Vince and destroy the company), while there have been subtle hints that Cena may also turn. It may be revealed that Bret was never in the car that Nexus repeatedly crashed....that this was all a swerve. I don't think it'll be just Bret as after all, the guy can't even wrestle. Bret AND Cena though....that's a possibility and having Bret Hart and Cena on the team would turn Nexus into WWE's answer to the nWo in the 2010's, in terms of sheer power and dominance.

This whole thread is becoming really confusing with the 1,2,3,4,5's. Look, overall, we all can agree that something big will happen at Summerslam. Will it be Cena turning Heel? Maybe. Will it be Trips coming back as a heel? Probably not. Will it be Bret turning heel? not sure. Could be. But it would be pointless, unless (as others have pointed out), he brings a top face with him. For me, I think Cena could turn heel. Key word COULD. If WWE can pull it off right. It's tough for me to think of a proper way that would be logical. Betraying Team WWE? WHY? What did they do besides mess up the rest of the team, that would make Cena angry? Maybe Cena could get angry and because he can't beat them, join them, but I doubt that too. I really hope Vince and the rest of the WWE can pull something like this off, but if not Cena, then who? :icon_confused:

Turning john cena heel would be the dumbest idea ever. First it would be near impossible to explain him getting beat up and once bloodied by the nexus (Yes he actually bled, When sheamus came out to help I beleive) And guess who turns all the little kids into Raw once a week and sells the most merchandise? John cena. I remember when I was a little kid I hated it when my favourites became heels. It would be a really stupid idea.

I think they would still be able to sell Cena merchandise, so who cares about the kids and Cena. Kids can't order PPV's and buy the merchandise, ADULTS CAN!!!! plus it would hurt to have Cena as a heel considering the lack of heels on Raw. pretty much all you have is Sheamus, Nexxus, Ted D. plus i think its a good trade turn Orton face, turn Cena heel so now there is something different if they want to have another rivalry

Something that my wife brought up when Cena went crazy and beat down Young. She said the vibe he gave off was like he reverted back to Prototype or something. It would have been an interesting angle. Nexus drives Cena to his breaking point and he just goes insane.

Hmmm...speaking of breaking points, isn't that PPV coming up after Summer Slam? Something to think about.

Say what? Im sorry but that is just absurd. Most of the people who buy Cena gear are adults, true...BUT! Most of these adults buy Cena merchandise for their kids. WHY? Because parents LOVE to spoil their kids and the kids LOVE to get spoiled. All a kid wants to do is dress like their hero (besides play), and who is their hero? JOHN CENA. With a Cena heel turn, a BIG damage would come to the merchandise profits becuase most of the people who buy Cena gear is because or for their kids. Kids don't like to cheer for bad guys, they like to cheer for good guys. Or do you, or anyone for that matter believe that a Cena heel turn won't hurt the merchandise profit when at least 80% of the Cena accesorries go to the kiddies?

Hate to burst your bubble but Breaking Point has been cancelled entirely...in its place will be Night of Champions followed by HitC and then Bragging Rights, Survivor Series, and lastly TLC

Hey guys first post here, couldn't figure out an avatar so I went old school haha. I'm in my early 20's and have always liked Cena. Have been watching wrestling since 2002, so I saw Cena as a heel way back in the day. I don't think he will turn, but since WWE has obviously built him up to be this unstoppable force of good, it may work well to turn him heel and keep him unstoppable. This would give him big time heat because everyone would want him to lose. they could maybe turn Edge and/or Jericho to compensate for this. It could work, but it won't happen

I think it would be cool if instead of a straight heel turn and joining Nexus, Cena loses the match for Raw and flips out and destroys a couple members from his team (JoMo and Hart maybe? Idk). But he doesn't join Nexus either he just gets fed up with everything and starts taking down everybody going crazy...then a new super face (Orton or D Bryan?) has to step up and this should turn Cena heel without it being obvious and with it making a little more sense.

I wouldn't mind seeing this, I actually think it's a pretty cool idea. It would also coincide with what Jericho said about Cena, that he was "an even bigger threat to the WWE than the Nexus".

That would be cool but I don't see how the logistics of this works. In order to lose that match for Raw Cena would have to be the final elimination and would be the only one left out there. So for this to work he'd have to like run backstage and find them first.

Alright, I know that everyone has been saying it for a long time now that Cena will turn heel tonight, and I personally haven't believed it.....until now. So anyone who follows Cena on Twitter has seen this already, but for those who haven't Cena just tweeted the following not 20 minutes ago:

CeNation. Staples center is somber, quiet. Calm before storm. I feel nervous, on edge. I want to thank everyone out there who has supported Me over the years, as I feel this is one of the most important days in my career. In closing, I will say that if you do not watch summerslam Tonight, u will be missing an epic day in wwe history.

Those are Cena's words, not mine. It seems to me though, that this is the biggest indication of a Cena heel turn tonight yet. Thanking the fans, saying this is one of the most important days in his career, saying tonight's summerslam is going to be epic? Sure, these could all indicate something else, but if it is not a heel turn, what could it be? Things are getting very interesting in these final hours before the event.

I am 100% convinced that cena will turn heel at summerslam b'cos of these offical 'tweets' than Cena sent out around 10 minutes ago:

"Tonight, u will be missing an epic day in wwe history."
"Me over the years, as I feel this is one of the most important days in my career. In closing, I will say that if you do not watch summerslam"

i feel that cena wouldn't be saying these things unless something huge will happen to him i.e. turning heel.

I'm going to see this in the theaters today, where there is TONS of little kids and adults alike.
When John goes heel, I will personally start screaming at the top of my lungs, cheering him.
I used to love Cena in 05 and 06, he got really stale for me, if he turns heel.
Merchandise wont go down? As a lot of people/older people WITH Money will buy his shirts and merch.

In a perfect world, Either morrison turns heel... OR Both Cena and Brett Turn Heel.
yes they attacked bretts "family". They arent even related to him.
LOL That would be just insane Both Cena and Brett as Heels with Nexus.

I think everyone will get what they want tonight and Cena will turn heel. Nobody thanks their fans for being with him over the years and say its gonna be epic, and then not do something big. Yes this will devastate every kid in the country. But its something that has to be done. And it seems like even Cena knows it.

its been posted on the newspage, about tonight being an important night for him, and thanking his WWE universe fans. Thought it was an interesting tweet. Either hes trying to throw off the "net" fans, or he inadvertingly gave away a possible "heel" swerve/turn at tonights PPV

Yes Muhahaha, I still can't wait for kids to leave the theater balling there eyes out, and crying on the live PPV MUAHAH.. am I really evil?

Just saw this too. He could possibly be trying to throw us all off, BUT this could be his only time left to thank his fans that supported him through the superman era of his. Hopefully this is true and he will turn heel. Here's the full tweet if anyone wants to see.
