I'm kind of hoping that the OP is trying to crack a sly joke with this thread, but for the sake of conversation I'll definitely respond.
It's easy to say Tensai should get a monster heel push, because reports suggest he is going to. That in NO way means he deserves it yet. He'e beaten Alex Riley, and Yoshi Tatsu...so have some of the guys from NXT. His gimmick isn't catching on...I don't think WWE wants Lord Tensai generated Albert chants from it's live crowds.
It's impossible to really judge if he's good in the ring, or if he's improved since his A Train days, because he hasn't shown us anything yet. Squash matches do not to promote a wrestlers talent. At this point, he's got his own 'Five Moves of Doom'...one of which includes him spitting on his hand, and using the claw...which, If I'm not mistaken, and WWE was being logical..would probably denote disqualification..since logic would dictate he might be spitting something harmful on his hand...it's no different than Tajiri/Muta spraying mist.
He has a long way to go before he establishes that he's deserving of any kind of real monsterous push. Look at Mark Henry, the man has been in WWE for over a decade, and has only recently been given a 'monster push'. Trying to ram Tensai down the audience throat doesn't automatically equate to being push worthy.
Personally, I doubt he makes it past the mid card, and I doubt he's on t.v. by the time Summerslam rolls around. His gimmick is just too cheesy for 2012 WWE. Nobody is going to buy that he's become some sort of Japanese lord/evil samurai. WWE is changing it's own rules on how a monster heel should be judged, and how they should be pushed. Henry as I mentioned, even Brock Lesnar. WWE wants it's fans to see Lesnar as a 'legitimate' athlete and threat. Just in doing so, trying to push the Lord Tensai gimmick feels like it's on a completely lower level. Who doesn't think the likes of Lesnar or Henry would destroy him in a minute.
I understand that WWE is trying to be entertaining, and trying to create unique and compelling characters, but pro wrestling as a whole broke down the fourth wall along time ago.
Who knows, I could be wrong, and Matt Bloom's new persona could take him all the way to the top, but so far it's not looking so good. I'm kind of dreading the idea of him feuding with Punk for several reasons. One, I'm not sure he's good enough to put on a great match with Punk...two, if he ends up aligned with Johny Ace, that means that he's now in league with Brock Lesnar, and that's not the kind of gimmick I'd want to have side by side with 'The Next Big Thing'.
The worst part of it all is, that WWE is kind of insulting the intelligence of it's fans, especially the IWC fan base. A company that pushes Twitter full force should know better than to create an outlandish gimmick for someone that was tweeting as themselves, and basically letting the cat out of the back two days prior. It makes it difficult to suspend belief, and at the end of the day, to really enjoy pro wrestling, and the those within it, you need to be able to suspend belief often and easily.
