Live Discussion: Raw 6/1/09

It's always been about Vince and what he finds funny. They've dumbed the show down to the lowest level of humor. This is what's meant by insulting the intelligence.

The saying is you can't go wrong by appealing to the lowest common denominator. Wrestling disproves that theory due to the LCD being inbred morons.

It's times like these that make me grateful for ROH.

Just pop in one of their DVDs and its three hours of a reminder of how great wrestling really is.

LCD-Lowest Common Denomenator. It means making the show as basic as possible so any idiot will laugh at it.

Oh, I think it's absolutely hilarious.

To 5 year olds.

This is the problem, and the thing Vince doesn't get about the PG rating. Kids are going to watch anyway, I guarantee it. Booking to them doesn't do jack shit but drive away the 18-35 demographic, and make your show shit. If you booked to the 18-35, you'd get them, plus all the kids. The ratings would be better, and the show would actually be...good.

Word. It's a shame TNA is on no promoting Spike, and has Russo. Or they could at least make an attempt at capitalizing on that.

Fuck me, 10 minutes of this bullshit. Flair is a jackass. And Orton is barely any better.

TNA has the biggest window of opportunity they've ever had, but they continue to fuck it up by assuming we're actually interested in Jeff Jarrett driving his kids around town, or whatever the fuck he's doing this week.

So Flair is 60 and we're supposed to believe he can beat up a guy that turned 29 two months ago and is bigger and probably stronger?

I hope Ric Flair gets punted in the head. That should keep him off of the show for a month or so.

I've always found it kind of strange that wrestling would be PG. Big men fighting is hardly child friendly, a good influence or something any intelligent parent would allow. It's as stupid as a PG fistfight.

They can't do shit anyway because they have the next month of shows filmed. That's just a dumb idea.
