Live Discussion: RAW 2/11/2008 **NO SPOILERS**

I wouldn't be surprised if this match is a let down. It looks good on paper, but both guys are much better selling an ass kicking than giving one.

I think Hardy might have gotten a bigger pop than HBK.

Wow, lets not wait for the match to be over to judge it or anything:rolleyes:

Sly, WTF? Might be a letdown, haha you have been watching so much Cena, you think good wrestlers that can put on a show, are letdowns..:lmao:

Cena used steroids...it will come out. Anything to kill his superman image would be nice!

WHY the fuck would that be "nice"???? To fuck up one of the very few good pure clean things that children can like in what is a skeezy trashy pop culture we live in now??? It would NOT be nice it would fuckin suck...people need to realize that those children make up a WAY bigger percentage of veiwership than we do....

What the hell are you talking about? Did you even read what I wrote?

So, just because HBK and Hardy are in the match, it has no chance to be anything but a good match?

The same thing that made the HBK vs. Perfect matches so average is the same thing we have here.

Wow. The counter by HBK on the top ropes looked dangerous. HBK's clothesline and powerslam looked good. They didn't sell the baseball side well though. Great so far nonetheless.

Liking this match so far.

Long time since I've seen Jeff run the railing like that..wasn't as fluid as before but still pretty good.

I said it about ecw last week and its true for raw or tna or any promotion. When you stop with the segments etc and just get in the ring and wrestle, the show goes up a ton in quality.

Two problems with this statement.

1) Traditionally, ratings have shown decreases as a show centered around mostly wrestling continues. Generally long match lose ratings, as does show primarily focused on wrestling.

2) If you give away good wrestling like this on Raw every week, what incentive do fans have to pay for the PPV?

I'd say the reason that this show has had more wrestling, is because it was taped right after the one last week, and it gives fans something different, and it saves writers storyline time.

Well we got a good one from Y2J b4 and that one ended cleanly much to my extreme pleasure. I say Hardy wins. The Hardy-Train keeps on rolling.

1.) True but ratings don't always equal quality wrestling.

2.) I don't mean one single great match. I mean a show mainly centered around wrestling, not having 2-3 20 minute promos, then a 10 minute match followed by a ten minute beatdown with a bunch of formula matches with predictable finishes thrown in.

I think a pretty much all wrestling show should be on every week, in a low rating time slot, as to offer an alternitive to fans. Mostly just wrestling, clean finishes, probably lower tiered wrestlers.
