Live Discussion: ECW 7/22/2008

I'd rather see Hornswaggle as ECW champ than Matt Hardy anywhere near it, Hardy blows, if you look closely there is even a guy in the stands that has a shirt stating how much he (& his brother) suck

Is that you... Are you posting from your spiffy new Iphone?

Great match, terrible ending. Hardy vs. Henry at Summerslam will only be worth it of it's an Extreme Rules Match and Henry slaughters Hardy.

Yeah, good match, but surely most people should want Hardy to win the belt at Summerslam just so that they can get the belt off Henry. I don't get why Papa Shango would want Henry to slaughter Hardy, wouldn't he or anyone else rather see Hardy vs Morrison for the belt than Henry vs anyone? Although, I will admit that despite what I first thought Henry's title reign might turn out being like, he has done better than what I expected so far.

Oh. Right now there's a thing called the talent initiative, which means calling up developmental guys. The main guys are Ortiz, one match, braden walker (chris harris) one match, and evan bourne (matt sydal) who is awesome. that is the last month of ecw in a nutshell.

Moral- go read a good book instead.

Ortiz needs to go away... his look, demeanor, and wrestling sucks. I hope he's forever relegated to jobber duty.

Chris Harris showed in his one ECW match that he's definitely the weaker half of AMW... and he gained a shitload of weight. I think he also botched his flying body press on Estrada. He landed right on his head, and Estrada hasn't been seen since then.

Evan Bourne is in a word, awesome, and is one of the very few reasons I still watch ECW every week. He beat James Curtis last night, who's been on job duty in the past. I wonder if he'll be a full-time callup now with the new talent initiative. Either way, he looks like a fat Chris Jericho.

They're about 1/4 as far as bringing new guys into ECW goes.
