he was also probably making pretty good bank. he was in the company since 01, and since 02 as a commentator. Considering he was nothing more then a studio host and sub-par commentator his salary was not worth what he brought to the table.

As has been already said, Renee Young is better at what Josh Matthews did then Josh Matthews, and is probably making less money.
