Jericho's Tag Team Partner

Whoever Jericho chooses it'll be a major push. If they retain the titles then they can appear on all 3 shows getting more coverage, if the lose and Jericho turns then that sets up a feud with one of the best, if not the best, heels in the company at the moment.

My moneys on someone from the Miz, Swagger, Carlito (maybe) or Ziggler (he'd be doing double duty as he's in the IC title match but still could happen). Any of these are ready for a push and fit the characteristics Jericho was describing on RAW.

I doubt it'll be Morrison as he's a face at the moment and its unlikely creative would turn him back so soon. Also its incredibly unlikely it'll be DiBiase, the silouette on wwe.com is more likely to be laziness on the part of the art/design department.

My offical guess is going to be TBK. Awhile ago he was on the search for his new tag team partner. Who better than a older, wiser, better, cockier, version of himself? Jericho is everything TBK is... just better. It makes sense because the titles can be defended on any show... hence should let Jericho pick a tag team partner from any show. Then the whole thing on Raw with Mark Henry in a sense points to TBK. Jericho thinking they'd make a good team with Mark's size. Well... it's Jericho so he may go the whole other end of the spectrum and pick the small statured yet massively confident....The Brian Kendrick. TBK and Y2J.

First, I hope it's not something like Rhodes turning on Dibiase or vice versa because that would just mess the whole Legacy thing up....they still have more to do as a group in my opinion before either of them turn on the other just yet, then again this is WWE and sometimes they do the nonsensical (e.g. promoting Dusty Rhodes as the guest GM for RAW next week which would have made perfect sense and would have been relevant seeing he knows the wrestling business and is the dad of Cody, only to instead cancel that in another desperate attempt to gain mainstream acceptance by associating themselves with ZZ Top!!)

As to who I think could actually be Jericho's partner I think it may be Christian. This would be a great way to elevate Christian to the level where he rightfully should be at in my opinion and they could turn him heel by saying he is going to take his brother's place and having him agree with Jericho in that Edge was the 'weak link' when Christian teamed with him.

Another possibilty might be Ziggler, although they may have other plans for him at the PPV. Nonetheless an association with Jericho could be the thing to kick start his career for real but as I say he seems to be involved with Mysterio now, so that's unlikely.

A wild card would be Kane who has nothing to do at the PPV as of yet. Kane is one of those performers who in my opinion can be moved up to he main event and not look out of place. Jericho could be the technician and so called 'brain' of the team while Kane provides the intimidation factor and power behind the team. This is unlikely as Kane seems to be involved with Khali but again plans seem to change within WWE on an almost daily basis.

Another option is The Miz as he isn't really doing anything at the moment and his ego might be large enough to match Jericho's....they could be great as a heel team.

Overall, if I had to choose the most likely candidate I would pick Christian. It just makes sense really...

I am extremely hopeful that Kendrick will be his partner. Here is the only problem. Whoever is the mystery partner is will be taking Edge's spot in the team and possibly on the SD! roster for the time being. That is a huge spot to fill and at the moment I am not sure that TBK can manage to become a legit maineventer. This seems just like too big of a leap for Kendrick. I like the guy and all, but come on, he's only pinned Carlito since he's been on Raw and now he's stuck making Santino look good at house shows.

Dolph Ziggler seems to be a obvious choice. He's becoming a notable name on SD! and he even teamed with Jericho last night. I guess it would just depend on where the IC title match lands on the NOC card.

I think that Jack Swagger is the best choice. Ever since coming to Raw I was worried that he would get lost in the shuffle. He is still a big name and has a lot of momentum from his time on ECW. Plus, two weeks ago we saw what we thought was going to be a big feud between Swagger and MVP. Instead, we got a decent match on Raw that saw Swagger get the clean win. It seems like WWE could possibly be clearing his agenda so he won't be in the middle of anything if he does move to SD! with Jericho.

Also, thanks to the first person to mention Chris Masters. I almost completely forgot he was back in WWE. Would be interesting to see him back.

I don't think the main event heel spot will necessarily be filled by the replacement, seeing as how Punk is slowly but surely working his way into that position right now.

Has Masters officially signed a contract to rejoin? I haven't really been following it too much. It'd be kind of interesting if that were the case and it were him, though. I don't remember what his promo work was like offhand so I don't know if he'd fair well as a "straight shooter" alongside someone like Jericho, but if Masters could still play the part of the strong guy, then that could work on a physical level with a teammate like Jericho who is more intelligent and quick.

I actually have no idea who it's going to be, so unless something is a giveaway this week, I'll be somewhat surprised. The argument for Kendrick is pretty good, but I just don't see Kendrick ever getting over as a top guy so it'd really be a waste. I think whoever it's going to be is going to be a singles guy that's just paired with Jericho for now...and likely feud with Jericho at some point down the line. I would LOVE is it was Christian. I'm a Christian fan and I'm just not at all interested in ECW, I want him on a big show that I'll actually watch. As they have history it makes sense and it sets up a loooong set of feuds with Jericho/Christian tag team --> Jericho/Christian feud --> Edge/Jericho feud --> Edge/Christian feud. All three are great in the ring and on the mic, and all are tied together. Will it happen? Probably not, it's too good and makes too much sense.

Jericho said his partner was intelligent, devious, and cunning. He said his partner was a truthful, honest, and just man. He said that most importantly, his partner would be worthy of standing in the ring with Chris Jericho. This immediately makes me think that his partner will be... Chris Jericho. Jericho described exactly what he believes himself to be. He could retain the titles by causing further tension bewtween Rhodes and Dibiase during the match (i.e. pushing one of them into the other one, ducking a clothesline, punch, or chair shot while he's being held by the other one, etc.)

Wow, all the way to page 7 and no one else said this. This here is my guess. I can see it now. Jericho is in the ring he says " My partner is..." He points to the screen the cameras are waiting. Then "No one is, no one is worthy of standing in the ring with me". He then goes on to lose the titles. Screaming and yelling when it is all over in that oh so classic Jericho way.

Being a fan of the guy and his current gimmick, I was hoping it'd be The Brian Kendrick. As I think someone said before, they could connect this to his hunting for "The Partner" from a little while back.

But given the fact that he lost to Jerry Lawler last night (why?) I think that just flatlined that idea.

yes...maybe Christian but like people have said that would require an unlikely heel turn...

turn Dibiase or Rhodes now...doesn't make sense (I love TNA but thats something they would do)

HBK....not a bad swerve but if HBK is going into a retirement run and possible DX reunion this is very doubtful....
