This is just further proof that you have no idea what you are talking about. Not every match has to be long. Certain outcomes can be determined in shorter matches but these are rare insistence's. You are defending MITB? It's still a 1 minute match regardless. Stop trying to hide from the fact it is done often.

I've perfected my impression of you, Dizzy. Do you want to read it? Of course you do! Here it goes...

"IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT TNA DOES WRONG BECAUSE WWE HAVE DONE SOMETHING SIMILAR BEFORE!"

And... scene.

Seriously, can't you come up with better arguments? What's wrong with saying that "the match had to be short because Kurt Angle is injured and the fact that he's a heel means that it's acceptable"? Then someone else would say "why not have Angle drop the belt at the PPV if he's injured?". Then you can say "because Storm winning the belt has created shock and two new main eventers". Then they have no comeback.

I whole-heartedly support Storm winning the belt. I think it's a great move, and I assume you do too. But the arguments you're using... they suck.

I'm perfectly ok with this. I always liked Storm more than Roode anyhow and now he is the TNA World Champion! Roode and Storm could put on a heck of a feud for the world title and both emerge as permanent main eventers without there having to be a "Michaels" and a "Jannetty" from Beer Money. Both guys deserve main event runs and I can see Roode getting his someday too. I'd want to see Storm get a long run though, going through all sorts of heels and maybe even a "who's the better man" type of feud with Sting. This is a good thing because TNA are giving a chance to somebody new, and it's about time. At least he GOT this chance. If it doesn't work out then they can just take the belt off of him. I'm sure that a lot of people are upset that Roode didn't get his big win, but sometimes things like this happen. It generated a little more interest in the product. To all of those who are angry about the situation, Storm is the champion whether you like it or not, and if you don't, then.... Sorry about your damn luck! ;)

I haven't watched TNA in months but on Thursday I tuned in because I heard Gail Kim was returning and James Storm won the title and seeing the Bobby Roode buildup only to not win I was intrigued to see where they'll go with things. The opening segment was indeed too long and too many people coming in and out and had to take 2 commercial breaks for one non wrestling segment comes off a little messed up. The match between Storm and Angle really could have been longer instead of the opening segment but with Angle's injuries I can see why it happened like that. The only concern I have is he got one move in and some people might see it as a fluke victory because he was being pummeled the whole match minus the finish. I'm glad James Storm got the title before Roode because Storm along with AJ are the only true TNA homegrown talents from the beginning and never left the company at any point. Roode is definitely championship material but Storm deserves it before he does in all fairness. This could also be a good way to give Roode the title as well because he can eventually become jealous of Storm's success and build a feud that leads to Roode winning the title or build him up as a face and have Storm let all the success go to his head and turn heel saying he doesn't need Roode anymore but I'd ultimately like to see Storm have a good run as champion. It could go any direction but Storm winning is a step in the right direction because new champions always draw interest. Aside from the match length the only other thing I would have changed was make it a live event so nobody would have already known that he won.

The pummelling and the out of nowehere win, stes up a perfect feud with Angle when he returns from injury. Angle will be furious and say Storm can't really beat him...

This will set up a big time fight feel for their rematch as Storm will no doubt be the under dog... it's quite good actually... if TNA go this way.

Just watched this last night, i agree with what most of the people are saying. The match was far too short. Is wrestling turning out to be a talk show?
