IMPACT Wrestling LD for 06.07.12

I really think TNA's got something special with her. Great look, really nice charisma and not too shabby in the ring. She may not be the best technical performer or anything like that, but there's no reason she can't be one of their better baby faces for a while.

The "Don't Mess With Tess" thing is clever, too.

Trish Status became the top female in WWE when she had less ability than Brooke does now. I'd have no qualms about that happening with Brooke in TNA. What surprised me though was that I think she is actually prettier than she photographs. That and being a genuinely nice person would make her ideal for being the face of the knockouts division in TNA. I'm all for it.

For TNA that's much more true than for WWE. I stand by my argument that per show, WWE PPVs are the highest grossing of any wrestling show.

That wasn't your argument. That was something you made up once I posted date to prove that your argument was based on fabrications.

TNA's PPV's don't gross and there's 2 ways to fix that I believe:

1) Hold them outside the Impact Zone - I've always said this is smarter than trying to get out of the IZ every week. This makes PPVs feel special and gives people a reason to tune in and show up. If a TNA PPV was in your area, you might show up. That's not usually the case so it's not an option.

"Hay; let's make our PPV's cost much more to produce. That'll make them more profitable."

TNA already did PPV's on the road for a prolonged period, it didn't make them any more profitable; it just made them cost a fuckton more to produce. There is a reason TNA stay in Orlando, it's because your idea has been proven to not work.

2) Make things happen on PPV. The trend for TNA PPVs is to hold status quo. The bigger stuff happens on TV and I understand they have prioritized that in their business model but I'm arguing that if they actually prioritized PPVs, it would help them financially.

Never go into business.

"You should take the focus off what is making you all your money and move in onto something that is making you no money."

"Why?"

"It'll make you more money in the long run."

"How."

"I have absolutely no idea."

Now, if you want to argue that the better business model is to not do PPVs whatsoever, I can accept it but I don't really agree. As I said, a well run PPV per capita will make you a ton of money in one night. If you feel that costs are high to run it and you can make more from TV, stick to that. I'm not sure it'll work but go with it.

Well that's lovely. The difference is, the argument that TNA should prioritise television has financial and historical imperative to back it up; whilst the argument that they should focus on a PPV model (whch they have done several times before, and failed to make money from) is backed up by nothing but your own baseless conjecture.

Not that this in any way matters. As I tried to point out before, I was not calling you out for being shit at buisiness; I was calling you out for being a twat. Making up information, misquoting data you hadn't actually read and then accusing someone else of posting just to make themselves look smart. It was hypocritical idiocy and nothing more.

For those interested, these replays are the consequence of live TV. Better get used to them for a while.
