If You Were in Control of TNA...

if i was in control of TNA....
first of all id fire Fatt Hardy hes nothing anymore.
Jeff....id give him a month or 2 to straighten out his life and if he doesnt do it hes fired
flair would b backstage working with creative and showing young guys how to cut promos and get heel heat/face pop.
hogan, bishoff and russo would all b fired on the spot.
make the x division a big part of the show and fire robbie e he gets heat but he sucks in the ring and on the mic so hes gone along with cookie....id try to partner up with ROH or bring in young guys from the indy scene and ROH.
Fortune would b pushed to the max there good in the ring and on the mic Styles should b the face of the company IMO.
jarrett would lose his creative control he would b midcard or working with the young guys....drop the immortal storyline completly.

so id FIRE:
1. Matt Hardy
2. Eric Bishoff
3. Hulk Hogan
4. Rob Terry
5. Jeff Hardy (unless he got his life under control)
6. Robbie E
7. Cookie

then id improve the knockouts division by bringing back Taylor Wilde,ODB and Roxxi then bring in Lizzy Valentine and get rid of the knockouts tag titles there really pointless and never defended! the TV Title would b defended under 24/7 rules like the hardcore title and it would b defended atleast once a week to add sum prestidge to it! go back to the original TNA title instead of jeffs title....also TNA would b live every single week so theres no spoilers online meaning people would b more likley to tune into the show! Bully Ray and Brother Devon would b back as a team sense they both suck on their own and if they didnt like it id fire them as well....make a few new tag teams also..

so id HIRE:

1. Roxxi
2. Taylor Wilde
3. ODB
4. Lizzy Valentine

and maybe a couple other high flyers to help the x division but id try to work with the current wrestlers there! :lmao:

haha something i've always wanted to answer =D
1.I would fire eric and hogan. like right away idc how much money i gotta give them they are out

2.Buy out Cm Punk's,Justin Gabriel's,and Daniel Bryan's wwe contract and hire them

3.Fire the Hardly Brothers(Meth and Fatt) and hire Colt Cabanna and Ace Steel from ROH

4.Stop recording shows 3 weeks ahead

5.Slowly start trying to sell out arenas like WWE does, but with a different arena type

6.Drop the TV Title and make it the Hardcore title with hardcore title rules.

7.Drop the spike contract as soon as possible by getting a station like FX to do Impact.

8.Bring back the 6 sided ring.

9.Delete all traces of wwe...aka not mention them or have old clips show them.

10.STOP PUTTING PPV RESULTS ON FACEBOOK AFTER THE MATCHES! let people buy them.

11.Bring back the X-Division by making it a weekly race to the top type of thing.

12.Push Aj styles into the main event picture.

13.REHIRE Taylor Wilde and Hamada but don't team them!

14.Create old Roh tag teams(Second City Saints aka Punk,Colt,Ace,and Daffney)

15.Run the show like ROH, truly for the fans

and last but not least 16.Make Bound for Glory bigger than Wrestlemania!

Well the first thing is first:

Drug test the entire roster, anyone that has a history is automatically gone (i.e. Jeff Hardy) if they fail, any first repeat offenders is off for 3 months and on a last warning (tested in 3 months time). Creative will have no say in how they are written off the story line, they will be named and shamed on TV.

Get rid of Hogan, Bishoff, Flair, Foley and anybody else that is costing the company big money to do nothing but suck up TV time.

I would publicly apologize on behalf of TNA for the Immortal belt.

You have no input in creative if you are on TV outside making a pitch about you're character: but no booking power.

Fire Vince Russo, start interviewing for a new creative team and call Kevin Sullivan

Take a page out of Mark Madden's playbook and do what I could do to get Jim Ross on board and put him in charge of whatever he wanted to be in charge of.

This will be short

Change the place of arena and make it look as big as the wwe arenas if possible because just turning onto tna and seeing a small crowd in a small arena makes it look like a b grade show

Get all the old guys off stage and get them to train the younger guys
fire vince russo, jeff jarret, bubba ray and bubba devon

hire fresh creative writers that do know something of the wrestling business

create new interest in the show by creating a new perceptive outlook on the brand by changing the name tna, the areana as i said before, and hiring new young guys

not mention wwe

stop hiring mid carders from wwe

advertise and market like crazy and kick off by buying a high card from wwe if possible such as cena or orton

If I was in control of TNA the main thing I would try to do is form a partnership deal with other wrestling promotions, mainly ROH.

Seriously imagine the Tag Team Divison/X-Divison if ROH and TNA joined :o

After this I'd do most of the things stated (e.g. fire Russo... etc) and then build AJ as your super babyface. Then cut down the number of PPVs, the only reason WWE does it is because it has a consistent fanbase that will no matter what buy their PPVs, TNA needs to get to that stage by having 3-6 PPVs a year first.

*most the things I would write are already stated so... ¬.¬*

So far there has been some good, and some not so good suggestions, in my opinion. Now I'll give at a go, although I don't know if I'ld be any good at it.

Ric Flair - Off Screen.
Dixie Carter - Off Screen.
Eric Bischoff - Off Screen.

Hulk Hogan - Authority Figure.

Mike Tenay - Commentator.
Mick Foley - Commentator.

Jeremy Borash - Announcer.

Christy Hemme - Interviewer.

I would have four Championships for four Divisons.

TNA World Wrestling Championship. Dorping the word Heavyweight , to show it's a Title for every weight class. Gaining the word Wrestling to show TNA is a wrestling based company, as opposed to a sports entertainment based company. The new name would result in a new divison, The Wrestling Divison. I would bring the original belt back. The Championship is only defended on PPVs.

TNA World Tag Team Championships are only defended on PPVs. The Championship to be considered almost as important as the World Championship.

TNA Knockouts Tag Team Titles destroyed. The Knockouts Championship gets a black strap, and is defended on both PPVs and iMPACT!

Combine the TV and X titles to form The Xtreme Title. I would use the current TV belt as the belt for the new Xtreme title, but with a black strap. The new title would be defended on iMPACT! aswell as PPVs. Mainly for High Flyers but there would be no weight limit. And any past X Divison or TV Champions would be seen as former Xtreme Champions. The Title would result in the X Divisons name being changed to the Xtreme Divison.

Each Champion should appear on every iMPACT! and PPV. All Championship reigns should be at least 100 days long.

Wrestling Divison
AJ Styles
Crimson
D'Angelo Dinero
Desmond Wolfe
Jeff Jarrett
Jeff Hardy
Kurt Angle
Matt Morgan
Mr Anderson

Tag Team Divison
Beer Money Inc.
Briscoe Brothers
British Invasion (Williams and Magnus)
Generation Me
Kings Of Wrestling
Motor City Machine Guns
Omega (Helms and Moore)

Knockouts Divison
Alissa Flash
Angelina Love
Davina Fly
Madison Rayne
Mickie James
Miss Teschmacher
Tara
Velvet Sky
Winter

Xtreme Divison
Austin Aries
Davey Richards
Jay Lethal
Kazarian
Petey Williams
Rob Van Dam
Shelton Benjamin
Somoa Joe

As for PPVs, my no.1 PPV would be Slammiversary, with Bound For Glory and Lockdown being the other big PPVs. I would also have six PPVs a year.

- Lockdown
- Destination X
- Slammiversary
- No Surrender
- Bound For Glory
- Final Resolution

Here's my list:

Demote Vince Russo. I would keep him in creative, but he would answer to someone and wouldn't have the final say so...Not all of his ideas were bad.

Hire Kevin Eck as head writer and head of creative. He writes for the Baltimore Sun and worked briefly for WCW I believe. I think he would add a new insight in to the wrestling biz. His blog is awesome and he has some good ideas on there.

Bring in Raven strictly as an idea man on creative.

Keep Eric Bischoff the character on tv and as an idea man for behind the scenes stuff.

Keep Hogan strictly as an ambassador type of role. He wouldn't be heavily involved in story lines but would make appearances on behalf of the company. Possibly bring him in as a Commentator.

Flair would stay for drawing power on Southern house shows. His role would only be that of a manager and would no longer wrestle, ever, period. His character would also stop challenging people to fights. He would be more like Heenan run his mouth about how AJ will beat them up.

If the Hardy's can pass consistent, random drug tests then I say keep em. Regardless of whether or not I like them, the number of hardy shirts you see in the audience still in WWE says they can sell.

This won't be popular, but I would lose the knockouts division. I don't think women draw in this business. I would keep a few around for managers and valets, but that's it.

I would keep the titles as they are, but get rid of the awful Hardy belt. I would design a new belt similar to the World Heavyweight Title that WWE uses and Flair Made famous. I would put a little color on it like the x division title, and TNA branding. I might even make it platinum.

I would take Impact on the Road. I would try to book 2000-3000 seat arenas for the time being. Hopefully, that would grow, but try to make it a hot ticket for now. I would keep the travelling to a minimum to keep that advantage from WWE. I would stay in the southeast for now. I would go to cities like Greensboro, Charlotte, Raleigh, Roanoke, Richmond, Atlanta, Orlando, Knoxville, Greeneville, Columbia. The southeast has always supported professional wrestling well. Us rednecks love some wrestling.

I would also cut the pay per views to 6 per year. I would consider doing a special Sunday night impact on Spike 4 times a year to supplement. This would be a pay per view quality show where angles and storylines pay off on live TV. These would be similar to the Clash of Champions in WCW.

I would cut Orlando Jordan, The Dudleys, Shark Boy, All the women except for Velvet keep her for a valet, Amazing Red, Robbie E, Kyoshi, Mick Foley, and Tommy Dreamer.

I would make Eric Young a commentator or a manager. He would drop the complete lunatic character. I liked him as the world elite spokesperson. He can be entertaining, but his skits are not funny.

I would look at partnering up with a small indy promotion for a developmental territory.

I would look at trying to hire Ken Doane, Kings of Wrestling, and Brent Albright. I would also look at trying to bring back Austin Aries and Christopher Daniels to strengthen the x-division.

I would try to add a second show. Even if it was a Saturday Morning Sunday evening show. I would recap impact and add a few lower card matches. I would feature developing talent or number one contender matches for the x-division and tag division.

Take the TV Title and defend it every week on TV. EVERY WEEK. Whoever holds it will have the chance to really develop a following. Make the matches very competitive. Give them a solid 10 minutes to work a match. This would need to be on someone who can carry the audience. I would give it to a guy like Desmond Wolfe, Daniels, Aries, Shelley, Roode, or Williams. Eventually, some one would go on like a 6 month run as champion. Probably a heel so that they could occasionally win by cheating, but the face could really get a push to become a serious player.

That's it.

I've seen some interesting ideas. some good, some that make me think WTF.

-Knockouts. drop the tag team titles, they're useless. Knockouts don't get enough air time for those.
add maybe another 2 or 3 women who are attractive but have some wrestling ability, but the number 1 priority is being attractive. I seriously don't understand why guys would want to watch half naked women who are butt ugly! Kong? really? never on my show.
the Knockouts don't need to be about the wrestling. there is/should be enough wrestling during the other parts of the show where heterosexual males can watch hot half naked women basically do whatever in the ring.
I miss Lacey. I don't care if she could wrestle, she was hot! that's entertaining.

-X division. this should be the division for the high flying cruiser weights. the guys that should not be main event. these guys can wrestle in the X division and possibly work up to the mid card for that title.

-mid card. change the name of the title back to Global title. this title should be similar to the US/Intercontinental in the WWE/WWF. the mid card wrestlers can wrestle for this title, and possible use this to work up to the main event level. there have been so many WWE/WWF stars that have started out with the US/Intercontinental title before working up to the main event. 2 of the biggest WWE stars that come to mind are Brett Hart and Shawn Michaels. both were Intercontinental champion before becoming main event. look where they are now.

-Hulk Hogan. I don't think Hogan needs to go, but he shouldn't be on TV very often. Hogan could be the McMahon of TNA. I don't watch WWE anymore, but when I did I don't remember hearing about McMahon every week.

-Eric Bischoff. another guy who doesn't need to go, but could be like the GM of TNA. he can be similar to what he was when he first came to TNA and not affiliated with any specific side.

-Impact. get out of the Impact Zone. travel. TNA has to travel around from city to city. crowds will be bigger/better on TV, and you create more fans by going to new cities. occasionally do some live shows. when you do tape, don't tape 2-3 weeks in advance. preferably tape the same week, and not on Monday. if Impact is traveling, maybe they get more WWE fans to attend if they are not taping on a Monday night?

-advertising and marketing. not sure what they do now, but they need more. commercials on multiple other big networks for Impact. MTV/ESPN/ect. maybe wrestlers in movies/TV shows.

-Orlando Jordan. gone, useless.

-Brian Kendrick. gone, useless

-both Dudleys. at this point can't reunite them, and they suck at singles. they don't need to be fired, but they can work backstage and with the younger wrestlers. don't they have their own wrestling school? use that.

-Gunner and Murphy. they were security, but are actually wrestlers. if they are going to be wrestlers, they need work and new gimmicks. then maybe they would be useful, maybe.

-Robbie E. the gimmick needs to go. the wrestler can take time off and return with a new name. he is talented, he is just stuck with a stupid gimmick.

-Rob Terry. he doesn't need to go permanently, but he needs time to work on wrestling. his look is great.

-Tommy Dreamer. backstage. he shouldn't be wrestling anymore, but can be useful in other areas.

-Immortal. done. fade it out.

-Samoa Joe. heel turn. he looks like someone who could be a fierce beast as a heel. doesn't take no BS from anyone.

-Matt Morgan. heel turn. he too could be a fierce beast as a heel.

-Pope. face.

-Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy. face. they seemed better when they were face and the crown liked them. they don't need to be main event, but can also wrestle for the mid card.

-managers. bring in some managers, more specifically for the heels. they could occasionally help the heels win matches which creates more heat from the crowd.

-Dixie. she is the owner. she doesn't need to be involved in day to day wrestling business. leave that to the likes of Hogan/Bischoff/ect.

-Ric Flair. not really sure what to do with Flair. he is beneficial to have around backstage. he can be great on the mic. maybe he would be the manager of one(or a few) younger wrestler. doesn't need to be a stable like Horsemen/Fortune.

-Vince Russo. he can be good, but he needs a filter. he needs to have someone to tell him what is not good and wont work.

-shock. you can't have shock all the time. it's not shocking when it's expected, and if it's expected and doesn't happen then it's a disappointment.

you don't need to get rid of the veterans. they can be very useful as long as they are not always the center of main event. if you have a feud between RVD and Kazarian, where Kazarian wins the match.. now you have elevated Kazarian, and people who know RVD but might not know Kazarian are now like whoa this Kazarian must be good.

it's not all about the wrestling. Hulk Hogan even in his prime was not a great in ring wrestler, yet he is arguably one of the biggest stars in history. IMO a great look is just as important if not more.
if you ever want to come close to the level of WWE, it has to be more than being about the wrestling. you want to bring in the general viewers. there are A LOT more general viewers than there are hardcore wrestling viewers. obviously you can't forget the wrestling, but I'm saying the other stuff is important too.

contact those who run wrestlezone forums and make it so that posts that are short and to the point are not always treated as spam. not every post has to be a story.

maybe I'll think of more later.

You have to take a lesson and watch some old wrestling tapes, watch what was over what do people love. Wrestling now lacks passion and If I were in charge of Tna First things first Id do is scratch every story line they have cause they are horrible. Then I would take my time on story lines instead of rush them let them unfold.

Well what would be a good story Line? How about hiring all the old WWE talent Carlito,Shelton Benjaman, Snitsky, all the old talent that was let go these guys have the most to prove not only to the wwe not only to the fans, but to them selves. All these guys have Passion and if TNA wants to recreate WCW/NWO this is the way to do it. Its a base and platform to start. Follow this by giving everyone a true gimmick true tv time and true characters to truly develop. Look at the past the wrestlers who truly got over and turned the company were the wrestlers with the most to prove. Steve Austin/Brian Pillman/Eddie Gurrerro/Chris Beniot/Chris Jericho/HBK.

Remember this is Entertainment entertain

hmmmmm.....where to start

First and foremost would be to trim fat which wouldn't be to much however releases would include
-Gunner & Murphy
-Orlando Jordan
-Shark Boy
-Scott Steiner
-Karen Jarrett

And removing certain talents from tv
-Hulk Hogan
-Dixie Carter
-Bully Ray
-Brother Devon
-Tommy Dreamer
-Mick Foley
-Tara

I would keep these guys employed moving Dreamer into Creative and having just as much say as Vince Russo. As well as putting Team 3D in charge of the Tag Division and Tara in charge of the women's. So creative would consist of Dreamer, Russo, Team 3D, Tara, with Bischoff as a consultant and me having final say.

Hogan and Foley would be used as ambassadors as they are a draw but truely have no reason to be in the ring anymore. They can be involved in charity work as well as do autograph singings at Live Impacts which is my next topic.....

Take Impact on the road.....and air it live, possible on a half hour delay just to edit out certain language that would bring fines our way. Spoilers are one of the biggest ratings killers and in TNA's case they are always available. The ratings have grown the past few weeks, not by much but nonetheless have. By going live and on the road finding venues that my not be WWE standards but can hold at least twice what the Impact Zone holds it could really make it appear a better quality. Its nice knowing that the Impact Zone is always filled to capacity but why would we want to not cash in on ticket sales. House shows have been going on for long enough to know what areas draw and what areas don't.

Impact would have a new format as well.
First and foremost every week will feature 6 to 7 matches at least
3 of these matches will be from the X-Division and/or Knockout Division
The Television title will be defended every week. Otherwise there is no reason for it to have that name
And the last 3 spots would be for the midcard and main event
The Hevyweight Championship will only be defended on PPV and an upper Mid card title would be introduced....Possibly the TNA United States Champion which would be defended on every PPV as well as once a month on Impact

Sample Impact rundown
Match 1-Six man X division tag match
Match 2- Mid card match
Match 3- Knockouts Division match (tag, single, or title)
Promo 1- A hype toward this episodes main event
Match 4- Televison Championship match (kickoff of Hour 2)
Match 5- Tag Division match
Match 6- X-division/Knockout division match
Promo 2- Hype towards the upcoming PPV
Match 7- Main Event of the evening/U.S Title match

Only 2 in ring promos everything else will be from backstage. A wrestling ring is made for wrestling.

The shows would be built around younger talent with guys such as Hardy, Van Dam, Angle and Jarrett being used to get them over. Ric Flair would be a mouthpiece for Rob Terry and nothing more.

All shows would have a dark match main event as it may not be needed for tv but needed to sell tickets.

A working agreement would be reached with ROH to use guys to fill out the X-Division and Tag Division in return TNA stars would appear at ROH shows and a promo would appear during Impact to promote their shows.

Drop the number of PPV's down to eight. One every other month with the exception of Lockdown and Destination X as your gimmick PPV. Destination X will feature a King of the Ring type tournament with the winner to get an X-Division match at Bound For Glory.

PPV Schedule
February- Genesis
March- Lockdown
April- Against All Odds
June- Slammiversary
August- Victory Road
September- Destination X
October- Bound For Glory
December- Final Resolution

Once the money is flowing sign Chris Jericho to a 2 or 3 year contract instead of wasting money on guys like nash, booker, steiner, and whatever other has beens that the money has been wasted upon in the past.

alright i know im new but im going to give this topic a go
i may repeat some ideas, idk because i didnt read all 4 pages anyways

if i had complete and all control of TNA i would

actually have TNA go state to state and do shows instead of always being in the impact zone...im not saying have them in the sort of arenas WWE uses because they can not fill those type of places...but in arenas they can fill and film in...

get rid of alot of these stupid storylines and stop pushing and trying to draw fans by using old names or with guys who dont really draw no matter how hard you try..

focus more on x-division and on hardcore matches but not gimmick hardcore matches...but just not focus more on the x-division but make it sort of its own entity...

i would also try and get another tv show for TNA have the show on thursday and maybe one on Sunday or Tuesday...Thursday is a weird day to plan around

get rid or somehow minimize Jeff Jarrett...I mean does this guy even draw anyone? anything? ever?

make Christopher Daniels.......Christopher Daniels again

put eric bischoff just have him do creative stuff do whatever i have to, to get Paul Heyman in my company...if its getting rid of Bischoff then it would be done...but i believe they were in WWE together.....maybe down the line have them both go on screen in some sort of way...

sign wrestlers to contracts but also work with indie companies and allow wrestlers to also work with them...start working relationships with PWG, ROH, IWA-MS, JAPW, APW & CZW...

get rid of or minimize positions:
Matt Hardy - I NEVER liked him
Jeff Jarrett - Cant really get rid of him but like i said minimize him...he has never been a main eventer
Tommy Dreamer - make him a backstage personality/road agent
Orlando Jordan
Shannon Moore
Hernandez
Robbie E
Scott Steiner
Mick Foley - backstage personality/road agent or just have him come in once and awhile
Hulk Hogan - come in once and awhile, dont use him as a top draw
Sting - again another once and awhile guy
Eric Young
Jesse Neal

sign/bring back:
Briscoe Brothers
Kings Of Wrestling
Ruckus
Homicide
Sonjay Dutt
The Human Tornado
Colt Cabana

roster is probably too big, but guys wouldnt be used all the time and would be with the other companies i have relationships with. I know i have alot of ECW oriented stuff....but......ya.....

didnt really pay attention to female wrestlers but...i never watched them and never do

Ok seen some really god Ideas here and before I start I am going to split this in to 2 Sections, Behind the scenes and On Camera

Behind the Scenes

First off Fire Vince Russo, Eric Bischoff and Ed Ferrara I know they can be quite creative and may have the odd good idea but for me to suceed in the rest of the plans they have to be gone.

Hire Jim Cornette as the booker and give him Mick Foley, Ric Flair and Tommy Dreamer to assist. If anyone he seen some of the Kayfabe commentery stuff that he has done you will know why I have done this.

Cut the Roster: Orlando Jordan, Shark boy, Gunner, Murphy, Karen Jarrett, Eric Young and EV2 guys (if they are still under contract, obvi not RVD)

Develop a working relationship with ROH or even OVW for development of new wrestlers.

Hire/Rehire: Christopher Daniels, Petey Williams, Homicide, Jack Evans, Briscoe Brothers, Kings of wrestling, Austn Aries, Jimmy Jacobs (if not signed with WWE)

Promote the hell out of TNA: take out newspaper adds, TV comercials, Have wrestlers on major talk shows.

Every PPV will be outside of the impact zone, in arenas that a gaurenteed to sell out.

Will post the On camera stuff in a bit

This is my first thread so be easy on me.

If you were in control of TNA and selling the company wasn't an option, getting someone like Paul Heyman or Jim Cornette to run the company for you wasn't an option and making a partnership with WWE wasn't an option...

What would you do?

Now, I don't want to know how you would book TNA. But what I want to know is who would you hire/fire? How would you rebuild the X-Divison? Or would you get rid of the X-Divison? Would you get rid of any championships? Would you get new championships? I want to know.

Tuesday Night iMPACT!
 Live, 7:00-9:00 PM central
 Broadcast Team = Mike Tenay & Don West
 Blue color scheme, shattered glass motif

Thursday Night Xplosion
 Pre-taped (on Wednesday), 8:00-10:00 PM central
 Broadcast Team = Jeremy Borash & Taz
 Red color scheme, fiery phoenix motif

Both shows share a set (much like Raw and SmackDown do), both shows are in high definition, both shows are rated TV-14 and both shows air on the Spike Network. These two are the only programs TNA Wrestling offers.

TNA iMPACT! is treated much like WCW Nitro was and TNA Xplosion is treated much like WCW Thunder was. This includes touring to different, yet close proximity arenas to film the programs. TNA has nothing to do with the Impact Zone whatsoever any longer.

The ring announcer for both iMPACT! and Xplosion is So-Cal Val. The interview correspondent for both iMPACT! and Xplosion is Christy Hemme. However, for PPVs, So-Cal Val is the interview correspondent and Christy Hemme hosts the 30-minute countdown show to the event. Jeremy Borash ring announces pay-per-views and house shows, while Mike Tenay/Taz/Don West is the PPV broadcast team.

Bound For Glory is 4 hours long, as opposed to the 3 hour runtime of the other 11 pay-per-views. As such, it does not include a pre-show (Hemme and Val will share interview duty that night). BFG is also counted by roman numerals, as it is the “WrestleMania” of TNA. TNA Slammiversary is discontinued (due to the “death” of the “old TNA”) and replaced by the returning TNA Unbreakable event.

The main event of every TNA Victory Road is a King of the Mountain match (6-man reverse ladder match) for the TNA World Championship. This match is featured only once per year.

TNA Destination: X features both the Ultimate X (triple threat for the X-Division Title) and Elevation X (one-on-one grudge match) contests. These matches are featured only once per year.

The main event of every TNA Lock Down, the all-cage PPV, is the Lethal Lockdown match (8-man elimination tag) with the weapon-laden cage roof. Cage matches pop up throughout the year, but Lethal Lockdown is featured only once per year.

TNA Hard Justice features the Monster’s Ball match (fatal 4-way hardcore match, with a 24 hour isolation period). This is featured only once per year. All other PPV events are standard.

The TNA pay-per-view calendar looks like this:
January) TNA Genesis
February) TNA Against All Odds
March) TNA Victory Road
April) TNA Lock Down
May) TNA Sacrifice
June) TNA Unbreakable
July) TNA Destination: X
August) TNA Hard Justice
September) TNA No Surrender
October) TNA Bound For Glory
November) TNA Turning Point
December) TNA Final Resolution

Championship Titles:

Primary
 TNA World Championship
 TNA Tag Team Titles
 TNA Global Title

Special
 TNA Women’s Championship
 TNA Knockout Tag Team Titles
 TNA X-Division Title

Switch the strap color for the Global and X-Division belts, making Global black and X-Division dark red. The Women’s Title remains white and the K.O. Tag Titles remain light red. The colored straps indicate that the championships are somehow gimmicked (Women’s and K.O. Tag are female-only & X-Division is cruiserweight-only). The three standard championships have black straps, indicating that they are the main belts.

As far as fan complaints that “Global” means “World”… Global is a synonym for International. International is a synonym for Intercontinental. Ergo, the TNA Global Title is simply their version of the WWE Intercontinental Title. The “Legends” and “Television” title concepts are unnecessary.

The roster features 60 individuals; 45 Superstars/Men and 15 Knockouts/Women. This includes managers and valets, but does not include authority figures, referees or other staff. Vince Russo is no longer employed by the organization and is replaced by the returning Dutch Mantel. All older talent will be used on the peripheral while the younger talent will be highlighted and pushed. The storylines will be down-to-earth and plausible, well-booked and follow strict continuity.

Many intersting ideas on this topic! I don't think I can really leave the booking part out because its directly related to what needs to stay and what needs to go, but I'll try...

Commentary/Announcing
The commentary team of Tenay and Tazz has got to go. Tazz especially. The only reason he's even remotely entertaining is to listen to him screw up or say something so idiotic it makes me laugh. I'd replace him with Jim Cornette, who not only will have some humurous things to say, he'll also be able to provide logos for the characters, making the actions of the performers more believable. As for Tenay, I don't really have much of a problem with him, but I also think someone with a deeper voice who talks slower and more deliberate not only will sound better alongside Cornette, but will also be able to stress the points that are most important in the story. Not to mention that type of announcer is better for advertising upcoming events and sponsorship plugs. Imagine someone with a voice like UFC's Mike Goldberg, except with a knowledge of TNA's history and a passion for the wrestling industry. I'd move Tenay to the interviewer role and/or possibly even a heel manager. Tenay has a certain snootiness about him that would work well in those roles. I'd also put Jeremy Borash as the ring announcer, which I think he did before or is doing now? (I usually get high to make it through TNA so I don't remember who does what sometimes )

Creative
I would fire anyone who has anything to do with writing in TNA. The brief flashes of brilliance we sometimes see in a promo, angle, or match are because of the skill of the performer, not the writing. The entire formula that TNA uses needs a complete overhaul, and it could make an incredible difference in their ratings and give us the highest quality wrestling show ever. I can't just name someone who can come in and fix it, but if I can offer one suggestion...they should have paid Paul Heyman well and given him the majority of creative control for 6 months, that should've been the chance they took instead of Bischoff/Hogan. This rant is off topic, but being this is my first post I'm going to get it off my chest:

This is by far the biggest problem this company faces. Wrestling is not real, their target audience knows damn well it isn't real, yet they still continue to insult their fans intelligence by trying to force the "Its still real to me dammit" attitude on us. Hell, they even wasted an entire show, "Reaction," on trying to make fans believe that the wrestler's actually hate each other in real life. If people still bought that shit, they would've have tuned in, they didn't. Attempted Murders? Kidnappings? Contractual Fraud? All fine if it were done in the proper way, but its not even close. We as fans have to suspend our disbelief yes, but only to the point of acknowledging that what we are seeing unfold is a scripted show. Their presentation is supposed to be well enough made and performed that we are drawn in and forget/don't care that its scripted, the same as any good movie or tv show. TNA can't seem to find the proper writing staff that gets us to that level. Its kind of like watching a really cheesy, low budget movie where you wonder if it were meant to be serious or not. Vince Russo has proven that he does not have consistently good ideas, the ability to develop a coherent plot, or the maturity to appeal to a wide range of people. I don't know who is writing what parts of the show or how the writing process works in TNA and I'm sure he's not the only one to blame, but based on his past writing and TNA's current product, his influence is very present. Stable feuds. He's done it in the WWF attitude era, he's done it in the dying days of WCW, and now he's doing it in TNA. It didn't work for any of those companies (SCSA was the number 1 reason why people watched WWF while Russo was there), why would it work now? Time to move on to something fresh! Something that hasn't been done to death...or that pretty much killed another wrestling company...

On Air Talent
Since I'm getting long winded here I'll try to do this without explaining a whole lot. I don't think I would fire any of the knockouts right away, the main problem with what they're doing is in the writing of their segments. I can't really tell who is good at what for the most part because the people writing the knockout segments aren't doing their job right. I'd like to see how the ladies fare under some different circumstances before I'd let them go. I do know that "Zombie Hot" Daphne cuts some of the worst promo's in all of wrestling history though...

Once again, it's hard for me to decide what men need to go also because the writing is so bad nobody really gets the chance to stand out from the crowd to be evaluated.

Definitely Keep
Jeff Hardy- I hate the guy, but he's good for business as long as he stays out of jail.
Kurt Angle- Great in the ring, much improved on the mic, sadly looks like he's got one foot in the grave.
Abyss- Its not this guy's fault he gets thrown into tremendously stupid segments. Love his voice, impressed with him on the mic, intimidating look, he's agile, huge, and can take it to the extreme. In my opinion the best homegrown star TNA has.
AJ Styles- Great draw for TNA, incredible ring work, has shown improvement on the mic. However I'd be careful making him the main focus because of his thick southern accent, it might regionalize the product which is a bad thing in this modern age of wrestling entertainment.
Rob Terry- WTF? Yeah, this guy could be great if he had the right character. He's got the look of a psycho in his eyes and in the right light could be a great supporting character.
Karen Jarrett- I'll admit I haven't seen much of Karen Jarrett (I just started watching TNA on a regular basis about 2 months ago) but I've been extremely impressed with her mic skills and believability. She cut a great promo on Impact about 4 week ago and they're not using her to her full potential. I could see Karen Jarrett as kind of a modern day Sensational Sherri.
Jay Lethal- Lots of untapped potential there also!
Don West- I especially like the earlier poster's idea of Don West being a manager. The guy is a great salesman and could be a valuable asset in terms of helping some of the performers gain a higher "worth" in the eyes of the fans.

I'd keep several of the legends around as well seeing as how most of them can handle a promo much better than any of the younger talent. They could be valuable assets both on air and backstage. Two guys I'd hire immediately are Paul London and Jon Moxley, and I'd re-hire Cody Deaner.

As far as locations and production goes, that all depends on money and I have no idea how much TNA makes or spends so not sure what I could do there. I will say, the entrances and theme songs need a complete redoing as well. That's another very long explaination which for those of you kind enough to read my entry I will spare you for now...

This was a cool topic and I enjoyed thinking about it, I usually just read what other people say but was bored here at work and figured I'd give my opinion.

Here's how my roster would break down.

TOP PLAYERS:
Kurt Angle.
AJ Styles.
Desmond Wolfe.
Jeff Hardy.
Jeff Jarrett.
Matt Morgan.
Mr. Anderson.
Samoa Joe.
Scott Steiner.
Rob Van Dam.

MIDDLE CARD:
The Pope.
Crimson.
Doug Williams.
Rob Terry.
Jeff Jarrett.
Hernandez.
Matt Hardy.

X DIVISION:
Kaval/Low-Ki.
Amazing Red.
Robbie E.
Suicide.
Jay Lethal.

WOMEN'S DIVISION:
The wrestlers they have are fine.

TAG DIVISION:
Beer Money.
Ink Inc.
Generation Me.
Motor City Machine Guns.

FIRED:
Team 3-D.
Abyss.
Brian Kendricks.
Daffney.
Don West.
Eric Young.
Gunner & Murphy.
Hector Guerrero.
Jimmy Hart.
Orlando Jordan.
Shark Boy.
Tommy Dreamer.
SoCal Val.

As far as within these divisions, I'd have Anderson/AJ/Angle working around the Heavyweight championship.

The Pope/Crimson/Doug Williams going for the Television championship.

Low-Ki/Amazing Red/Jay Lethal going for the X Division Title.

The Knockouts are working well right now.

Tag teams would continue to be mixed in.

As far as the changes, I'd start with the look. I'd have it look darker. More sophisticated and yet underground. They are the smaller company. They should look like a smaller company that's staying within it's means as opposed to a small company that can't compete with the big company. Play up what you have, ignore what you don't.

I'd change the TNA logo, as well as it's just too old looking. Keep it simple for the time being. Also, that hideous Hevayweight championship would need a redesigning.

With the shows, they need to travel a bit more. The recent Impact that was on the show had a reaction that was MILES ahead of the Impact Zone's regular sound. So much better. Legitimate.

From the business front, I'd use a lot more product placement. Simply another source of income. Why not?

I'd restore the X-Division. It drew for the company, it should be second only to the main event.

I'd get rid of the Women's Tag titles, as well. Women are lucky to get a good angle going involving two women. Let alone four.

It'd stress the importance of how your PPVs look as well. I'd give us a new BIG PPV for every year. Something like WrestleMania, obviously. Something that stands out, but reminds someone of the Superbowl or WrestleMania. Very dated names that still remain constant and stand out. Because they carry that history. Now, they get over on being an event and something that has a big event feel. A week-long event.

"Xtravaganza" comes to mind. Since, that's what both the Bowl and Mania truly are. And adding the Roman Numerals to it makes perfect sense. This is one of the area's TNA can compete in terms of branding, so it should.

The rest of the PPV's should/could remain the same. That'd be fine.

As far as booking, I'd out-law run-ins for two months. I'd want to see what the writers and wrestlers were made of.

Obviously, I'd fire people we didn't/shouldn't use. I would also would bring in some guys. Some guys would be on the card in different situations. Pretty much what I would do in a nut shell.

My turn:

1. The TNA Rankings would come back and be a constant monthly thing.

The fans would vote every month after the PPV and the top 10 wrestlers would be featured. This would not only increase interest in certain wrestlers if they win or lose, but it could create storylines. (#2 jumps #1 guy for a title shot and is pissed about it, winning streaks, losing streaks, bribes, etc.)

2. Fourtune would be the face Horsemen for the next year.

A stable of champions who have to stick together to overcome the odds. Styles would work to become the TNA World Champion again in a long process of going through opponents the way Angle did, trying to prove that he is worthy of being the Franchise.

3. Xplosion would be the X-Division show.

I would let the Xplosion show take over another open time slot on Spike TV (or the vacant spot after Impact), and only X-division wrestlers would wrestle on the show. It'd basically be like WCW Nitro's first hour with cruiserweights. Even if it was a midnight slot, it'd give the X-division its own focus. This isn't saying the X-division champion or any matches would not be on Impact, but a lot of the lesser contenders could showcase their stuff.

4. Shamelessly market the hell out of TNA.

I'd spend the money to have house shows in NYC and other major markets. I'd have wrestlers appear on reality TV, sports events, open malls, compete in game shows, deal with Dana White and UFC if he'd be open, and ANYTHING to get the wrestlers out there in front of people. It'd be shameless but how could it hurt?

5. Have wrestlers stick to the plan.

No swerves, no turns for at least a few months except for Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Crimson (more on them below). Let the audience get behind wrestlers or hate wrestlers. Guys that don't work will get re-packaged, but they'll have a chance to shine in some form in the same roles. The audiences need to relate or hate the characters on their screen.

6. Hogan and Flair become on-screen managers or commentators and on-screen trainers.

They would stay out of the ring and have their own retirement ceremonies in TNA. Then, I'd deal with Spike TV to make a new reality show where Hogan and Flair train wrestlers. It'd be a mix of Tough Enough and NXT, only with two of the best in the business training new guys.

7. Have a strict no-tolerance policy with Twitter, drugs and alcohol.

The wrestlers won't be able to say what they want and embarrass the company any further. As for drugs and alcohol, not the Wellness Policy per se, but something similar to make guys accountable.

8. The Immortals would split, Jarrett and Abyss would be on their own and Jeff and Matt Hardy would re-form their tag team, and it'd be their last chance.

They generate interest as a tag team and still work well. I could use them to feud hardcore with Beer Money. Once the feud ends I'd see where they are in terms of single status again. Jeff would need to stay out of trouble, and Matt would need to get in shape.

9. The power struggles stop.

No more gimmicks with the controlling interest of TNA. Just straight storylines and wrestling. We don't need to know who owns what, who's in control of what and whatever. Have simply one neutral GM role or Dixie himself to make on-screen decisions and that's it.

10. Establish a dominant main event heel champion.

The Immortals can't function without Hogan and Flair, but TNA needs (and tried to do with Jeff Hardy) is have a real dominant champion in charge. What TNA needs to do to create the characters they need is a guy to destroy the faces and show how good said wrestler is. Mr. Anderson is a good champion, but if I had the choice I'd feed him to a heel Crimson (once the Immortals split, there'd be no reason to keep Angle and Steiner together other than as allies, and Crimson's agenda is still unsaid), and make him a Batista-like power champion who could destroy everyone. I know he's unproven and we haven't seen him do anything, but I'd give him the Brock Lesnar treatment. He's the only wrestler that hasn't been tainted by past storylines and can play the large dominant monster that is nearly unstoppable, and because he's so new, he'd be a relative mystery to everyone, and the match-ups he'd create would be fresh and exciting to think about. That way, the A.J. Styles vs. Crimson match at Bound for Glory would be an epic David vs. Goliath match.

Just my $0.57 on the subject.

I would fire the whole roster and hire a bunch of 21 year old indy stars. Wait a minute! I'm not an idiot!

I would only fire those that are useless like Shark Boy, Orlando Jordan, Rob Terry, people like that, guy's that add nothing to the show or aren't on it at all. Plus, I wouldn't have even though of hiring Matt Hardy, what a waste.

Anyway, I would stop hiring the WWE's trash of superstar's. I would try to build up my own company with what I have now before hiring say, Haas and Benjamin, or Kaval, or MVP.

I would give TNA a top face. And it would be AJ Styles. Now that he's a face I would work on this face turn and build him up fast, make him a legit World Title contender again. I would make him be a unstoppable force like Cena and be used to gear towards kids, so they'll see a Cena-like wrestler and be immediate attracted to it.

I would advertise all over the place. Instead of having Christy Hemme be your highest payed diva, I would use that money to advertise, not just on Spike, but on billboards, commercials, mall autograph signings, video games, TNA magazine, cards, anything you can get your hands on. Hell, advertise during RAW.

I would stop mentioning WWE on air, I would try to be more like a coherent wrestling organization, than a failed attempt at competition. Stop taking cheap shot's at them, stop hiring useless guest (J Wow) for $15,000.

I would have less guy's blade. I would have Ric Flair in no matches at all, I don't care if he want's to fight, he's a old man and is no need to blade and fight at his age, especially when his fued's that don't even elevate talent (Lethal).

I would actually charge for ticket's, they need money, and charging 10 dollar's per ticket is a good way to get some money. 10 dollars, 1000 people, that's $10,000 a night. Plus if they can do more shows, that's more money.

Get out of the Impact Zone! And don't take the cast-member's with you.

FIRE VINCE RUSSO!

Hire a talent scout who has a good reputation.

Stop turning guy's heel to face and vice-versa every 5 months. Let people get to love them, or hate their guts.

Try to gear toward's kids the best way possible to garner aleast some new fans, the Attitude Era mark's are leaving and getting older, their not gonna be watching forever. Kid's are going be watching longer than the 30 year old ECW fans, get some of the kid's watching your show's.

Stop with the group's. let people work on their own.

Have a Wellness policy. And a strict one! Like WWE's one. I don't care if TNA have a bunch of drug user's, you do it, you lose it. I want people to be safe, not be causing concussion's. I don't want avid drug user's representing my business.

Make Bischoff more of a authority figure than a heel leader. Let him make matches, like before Immortal.

Take away the Knockout's Tag Team Title's and make all Diva's in competition for the Knockout's Championship, not just Beautiful People and Mickie James.

Stop having PPV quality matches on free TV. Save them for the PPV and build them up. Oh, and build up the Pay Per View!

Become TNA and stop being WCW 2.0. Find their own identity.

I would buy a ring side seat to Wrestlemania and have sting sit there during the Taker/HHH match with a TNA shirt on.

Then I would get rid of some of the dead weight like Matt Hardy, Hogan, Flair etc. and go with younger group and allow them to be themselves on the mic. H

Hire more women who can wrestle instead of the TNA they hire now.

Stop trying to be WWF of the late 90's and be TNA.

Wow.. this is like I'm playing TEW (or EWR). Fun stuff, and I see a lot of potential in the TNA roster as is right now, but there would be some changes as far as card placement of the guys. I'll start there, then move onto the other logistics of how the company would be run. All of this done before the next episode of TV aired after I took over, mind you.

The main event of my "TNA" would consist of the following guys all working towards the goal of being the Heavyweight Champion. AJ Styles, Rob Van Damn, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Abyss, and Sting on a limited basis. AJ styles would be the main focal point of TNA, he'd be seen as the John Cena of TNA, or the Sting of WCW. If I were capable of hiring Chris Jericho, I would do so in a heart beat. He'd not be pushed over TNA guys like Kurt Angle was, but he'd be used very well.

Likely the strongest division in my entire company would be the Tag Team division. I'd keep guys like Jeff & Matt Hardy around, but they'd only work matches as a tag team. I'd also have Team 3D still on the roster. I'd find Rick Steiner and bring him in to tag with Scott. So, I'd have a lot of old-school tag teams with guys like MCMG, GenMe, Beer Money being the main players. But when you add Steiners, Hardys, Team 3D those are historic teams in the business. I'd do my best to lure Kings of Wrestling, Wrestlings Greatest Tag Team, The Briscoes, and Masato Yoshino/CIMA in to TNA as well.

The X Division would get a lot of time on television each week, roughly 2-4 matches on every show. The focal points of that division would be; Kazarian, Amazing Red, Desmond Wolfe, and Jay Lethal. I'd love to bring in Low Ki, Colt Cabana, El Generico for this division as well. I'd have Brian Kendrick wrestling in this spot if I was unsuccessful in signing Paul London, otherwise they'd be teaming up.

I'd keep around the guys that people consider "scrubs." Steiners could use a good win on impact and no better team to beat then Gunner/Murphy or Ink Inc. They all have a place, and unfortunately for some of those guys, their place would be at the bottom, putting people or teams over.

If I were able to hire Joey Styles, I would do so. I'd not even attempt to get Jim Ross because to me he is a "WWE" guy, and he'd be seen as such. If I got Styles, he'd replace Mike Tenay who would be released.

Guys like Eric Bischoff & Hulk Hogan would be used for promotion only. Eric would be employed to try and get us advertising spots for all the damn networks he has connections to. Hulk Hogan would be sent out at least 1/2 of the year to promote in every place we'd be running shows. Jeff Jarrett,

I'd ask Mick Foley to be my booker, with me over-seeing the final draft of everything before it hits air weekly. I'd also ask him to attempt to do things semi-long term so I can approve or disapprove a direction of a storyline, so maybe 2 months at a time. I'd hold meetings with the particular workers that each division was to be based around, before each new "story arc" and discuss with them the plans, the feuds, and the direction I'm trying to achieve.

I really like the suggested idea of having TNA only run a few towns, so that's probably how I'd end up doing it as well. We'd keep the Impact Zone, but also run shows in; Manhattan Center, Chicago Illinois, The Arena (Philly), Charlotte North Carolina, Atlanta GA, St. Louis, California, Las Vegas, and Texas to start. We'd tour those areas religiously putting nearly every star we had on a pack 3-4 hour house show in each place. Really give them the TNA experience, don't cheat them.

If I were to have 2 month story arcs for most feuds, I'd want to do 6 PPVs a year. Which I think is a good amount as it gives time to properly build up things. Plus we'd inevitably get more buys I'd imagine as people wouldn't have to spend near as much money as currently.

I 100% agree with above suggestions of acting coaches. I would do so, but I'd also just write bullet points for everything and allow the wrestlers to either get themselves over, or get themselves moved down the card. But to learn to speak in front of a camera is/would be a huge advantage of some of the WWE stars.

I'm running out of thoughts.. I might add to later.

Edit: Oh yeah, and I too would fire Vince Russo. I can't stand him. I might pay Jim Cornette insane sums of money to shoot on him as he's publicly fired, then let Cornette go back to building up my future talent in ROH.

I've stayed away from this thread, but with all of the TNA angst over the past week with their BIGGEST SURPRISE GUARANTEED, why shouldn't I get my licks in?

First, however, is the myth of "the person in charge", as if being in a high position of authority gave you complete control over everything that happens with your business. There is no magic wand; sometimes, 'events' happen that are out of your control, and a mark of how good you are of a leader is how well you respond to them. 'Events' are a very broad category, but it could be anything from the Lakers scheduling a home game while you've signed for the arena, to two of your stars planned for use in an angle suddenly appearing on your competitor's television. So the question of "If you were in control" is a bit of a misnomer.

But for the sake of the thread, and since no one reads posts tucked this deep in, what would I do differently if I was the magical TNA faerie?

1) No more false hype. I believe this is one of the largest factors killing TNA today. The Impact after Bound For Glory, after the "They" reveal, pulled a 1.9. There is a fairly sizable audience interested in what TNA is doing, that isn't watching from week to week. But by trying to trick them into tuning into TNA, TNA is only succeeding in alienating this section of the fanbase. People are smarter then that, even most professional wrestling fans. Don't hype your 'surprises', because then they aren't 'surprises'. Hype what you want your fans to know is going to happen on the show, and then hit them with surprises they aren't expecting.

2) Evaluate the contract with Eric Bischoff's production company. Details on what they do for TNA are extremely sketchy; as it appears, they work with television stations in order to find more outlets for TNA product. I'm extremely suspicious that they deliver what they promise, but without knowing exactly what their role is within the TNA hierarchy, I can't say for sure what they'd do. My fear is that Eric Bischoff is trying to grow a position for himself so large within TNA that releasing him would create a large hole in TNA that would be difficult to fill.

3) Don't sign another contract with Hulk Hogan. Rumor has it that he's getting $100,000 per appearance, which sounds about right. It's way below what he was getting per appearance in WCW, but it's a high enough figure to attract a man with a son's legal bills and alimony to pay, while being within TNA's ability to pay. However, I don't think he's worth the cash. He hasn't elevated anyone to be ready to take a bigger role for TNA, which should be the job of a man who's near 60. He's been had a camera role as 'the guy behind' several TNA champions, which instead of transferring rub from Hogan to them, has made the champions, both heel and face, appear weak. $100,000 per night is a lot to pay if the needles aren't spiking, and I don't think TNA needs his outsized influence.

4) Change the name. We're used to calling it "TNA", but I remember when I first heard of the company. I thought to myself "hrm, I haven't used the phrase 't+a' since I was 14, I bet this will suck." At the time, it didn't suck, but I've heard the same statement by several other people. For every person that gets past the goofy title, how many people never check out the product? The reason there's the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover" is because lots of people judge books by their covers.

5) Tour. Now. Not 'let's stick our toes in and try it for a night', start touring and alternating live and taped Impacts to keep costs down. Live TV and the costs of moving a television set every other week aren't cheap, but they simply aren't expanding while stuffed into a small Orlando TV studio with the same fans every week. It looks like WCW Saturday Night in the Impact Zone. I'm not saying touring will succeed. It's going to be expensive, but you aren't growing the business while you're trapped in Orlando. If you aren't growing your business, your business is dying; 'staying steady' is a recipe for eventual decline and failure. You don't need to go to the arenas WWE is going to; go to places that are a bit unorthodox. Remember when WCW used to shoot for a month from Daytona Beach or South Padre Island? It gave an air of uniqueness to the program, and TNA could do the same. One of my favorite places to see a show is the Asbury Park Convention Center in Asbury Park, New Jersey. (You would recognize it from the final scenes of 'The Wrestler'.) It's built at the end of a recently renovated and now gorgeous boardwalk, and the convention center literally hangs out over the shore. There is the opportunity for all kinds of interesting shots and one-night angles from locations like this. Have two wrestlers battle out the door and straight onto the beach. It sounds silly, but it's the kind of thing that attracts people for its uniqueness.

Tour, but don't do a tour that mimics what the WWE is doing. Do a tour that says TNA is a different and more personal experience then the WWE is. TNA's house shows already are a hell of a lot more intimate then any WWE performance (bar the shows for the troops that they've done, but good luck replicating that on a TNA budget), but that doesn't come across on camera. What comes across on camera is that TNA is playing the same house every night, doing the same thing, every night.

6) End the Jarrett-Angle program. This isn't a business decision, this is strictly personal. It disgusts me- not 'internet disgust', but actual disgust- that none of three grown adults were responsible enough to say 'I'm not comfortable using our children and the divorce they went through in order to make money for myself.' If I were the magical guy in charge of TNA and could do whatever I wanted, I would not want that kind of travesty occurring in my name. I don't give a shit if it drew in an extra million viewers a night who wouldn't tune in otherwise, those kids are way too young to fully understand what's going on, and there are some things worth more then money.

7) Start a new writing culture- "where does this leave us in six months?" TNA keeps writing for what's about to happen right now. The shape of TNA six months from now won't be recognizable when compared to the shape is holds now, because there are going to be all kinds of sudden one-night surprises between here and there, designed to try to pop the viewership numbers. The writing in TNA has a tendency to fall off a cliff and leave threads hanging with angles. Everything you write should set you up to write something else later, and too often the TNA approach seems to be to try angle after angle after angle and hope one of them catches fire. It worked for WCW with the nWo, but you aren't going to duplicate those circumstances.

The rest will follow.

I can see that most of the suggestions are very much the same. I too think along the same lines, so I wont go through as they have already been mentioned.

What I would do is have AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Des Wolfe, Beer Money and the Machine Guns squash all the "big name talent".

I know that squash matches aren't great and wrestling is about having an awesome back and forth match... but if a WWE fan happens to change the channel and this AJ Styles guy just destroys Jeff Hardy.. just takes him to school... or Samoa Joe stomps the shit out of RVD... boom... 1.2.3.. James Storm super kicks Kurt Angle's head off..1.2.3.... wrestling fans will sit up and take notice.

When Joe defeated Angle at Turning Point 2006, it was freash in most fans minds that Kurt had beaten the Undertaker in a great match at No Way Out. But Joe beat Angle. Joe was this force and was on par with anything that the WWE could put out. Same goes for Wolf, when he came he he clotheslined the shit out of Angle and he was a bad ass... awesome stuff.

But instead TNA continue to have RVD come in and beat the roster easy, have Jeff Hardy come in and beat the roster, Mr Anderson etc. It doesn't help your product. But if you have this AJ Styles guy, who you say is Phenomenal, beat everyone, just John Cena does on Raw every night, well then you've got a player, then you've got someone who you can build your company around and only have your TNA guys be able to match him.

When Joe beat Angle in 06, if they kept his push going, if they kept the original L.A.X. push going, if they kept Styles and Daniels' push going, right now these guys would be better than any WWE guys because they were at the top of their game in TNA.

There would be threads like who would win Joe/Taker or Styles/Cena or Roode/HHH or Wolfe/Orton or Morgan/Big Show ...

TNA talent should be pushed over the WWE guys to show they have the superior talent, they are the superior company.

If I was running TNA I would of had a group of orginals fighting against the likes of hulk, flair and a couple others who were brought into the company.. I would of had a face group called FOUNDATION consisting of AJ Styles, daniels, abyss, samoa joe, and you could throw in james storm or robert rhoode too. They have been around the company the longest and should have something to fight for... The heel group would have to be some ex wwe employees such as hardy's, anderson, angle, and hogan or flair would be their leader...
