If You Could Hire Anyone To Join The WWE...

Inspired by the attention that my "If You Could Fire Anyone From The WWE Thread..." received, I wanted to see who you would like to bring into the WWE right now. For the sake of the thread, it can be anyone involved in the wrestling industry, even if they are involved with a different company at the moment. It could be a wrestler, a manager, a writer, etc. Anyone who you think that would augment the product.

Here's my #1 pick:
kurt-angle-wallpaper-800x600_crop_650x440.jpg

Kurt Angle. I think he'd help out the WWE immediately, and I'd love to see him back. His charisma and in-ring ability would get me excited to watch Raw, or whatever show he was on. I was thinking about maybe picking Sting (but I decided he's too old to really help the WWE) or Brock Lesnar (but I decided that I would have mixed feelings if he came back), so I went with Angle. I would love it if he returned to the WWE, and if I could pick anyone to immediately join the WWE, it would definitely be him.

Who's your pick?

In a weird kind of way i would like to see Petey Williams come in and be given a good U.S.Title and I.C.Title run i think he could boost the divisions by having high caliber matches with Rhodes, Ziggler, Kofi, Swagger and the rest of the Upper Mid Card even some of the Main Event talent like Miz Bryan and Punk could really put on some matches with this guy

Ok this is cheating because it's a team, but I'd rehire Deuce n' Domino. I think they were a HUGE missed opportunity in the tag team division, I honestly believe that with a solid push behind them and an eventual face turn, they could have been right up there with the Dudleyz, the Hardyz, and E&C as one of the all-time greatest tag teams. They had the look, the charisma, and the gimmick - all they needed was more time to improve their ring work.

My pick would have to be. . . Chris Hero.

I say this because the Kings of Wrestling are a young team who could help the WWE Tag Division.

Another would be Shelton Benjamen.

Colt Cabana: hes funny hes got the look he can really wrestle to me he just has everything it takes 2 be a star

Samoa Joe: about 3 or 4 years ago i wouldnt have said this but now that tna is treating him like crap i think hed do extremely well in wwe if used right he can definantly wrestle and hes gold on the mic plus the promos and matches hed have with punk would be amazing not to mention the matches he would have with bryan and ziggler

BOOOO to old timers.

Kurt Angle is my second favorite wrestler of all time but I'm ALL for the new generation. Nostalgia is great but we need to create new stars. I'd be stuck between AJ Styles and Davey Richards. Hard to pick between 2 of the best wrestlers in the world (both are top 5 imo).

I can't believe the names that are being thrown out before Sting.

Don't you boys remember the boners that were popping when news came out last year? I was one of them.

If they could get him for a year, it would be one of the great moments in wrestling history.

It is definitely not for the long-term but if you have a once in a lifetime chance to get him, you have to give him a run.

I'm sorry, but I don't see what the big deal is about Sting. Even in his prime in the NWA and the early years of WCW, he wasn't anything special either in the ring or on the mic. He has mediocre ring work and mediocre mic skills, and does the worst Sharpshooter I've ever seen from anyone in the business, including crappy backyard promotions.

1.Jeff Hardy-one of the most entertaining superstars of all time, could help build the tag division, you may not like him but there's no arguing that you don't enjoy his in-ring work

2.Brodie Lee-good in the ring and a monster

3. Christofer Silvio- the BEST mic working on the Indy circuit. He is a high flyer that needs to be picked up. He is currently working for OVW

Mines would have to be either:

AJ Styles, hes young, phenomenal in the ring and could fued wel with just about anybody on the roster.

The Dudley Boys both been doing excellent in TNA and could reignite the tag division through making new younger teams fued with them and look great.

Mr Anderson/Kennedy great on the mic and would love to see him fued with Miz, Ziggler and Punk.

Carlito I loved him on the mic and thought he looked good on the ring a huge missed opportunity from WWE in my opinion.

Either Angle or Sting. I just feel like Sting vs Undertaker would be the ONE Taker wrestlemania feud that would leave everyone happy. And obviously, im a bit of an angle mark and having him back for one more run would be awesome.

im gonna pick someone for each division..or lack there of.

1. Brock Lesnar. Love him or hate him, he made a massive impact on the WWE in a very short period of time. He is still pretty young and would be an instant boost to the main event scene. He carried Smackdown his entire tenure on the brand. Would love to see him in some matches with HHH before he retires, Orton, Cena, Sheamus. The guy is good on the mike, a real cocky bastard and can back it up, great wrestler and he has that threatening look to him.

2. Carlito. I really enjoyed him, good wrestler loved listening to him on the mike. I wouldn't bring him back as a main event guy more of an upper mid card IC/US division where he was. Really good character wish he was around longer and could help the struggling mid card division.

3. Mickie James/Victoria/Gail Kim. Couldn't decide between these three. All great female wrestlers and would be awesome to see them in the ring with Phoenix, Natalya, Kharma, Eve(yeah she's getting there imo). I know its a pretty boring division but these divas could be entertaining like the days with Lita and Trish.

4. Haas & Benjamin. Just posted about them in a thread relating to tag teams being brought back. The best team in the business that i know of. They can go at it in a basic tag or some sort of gimmick tag match. Always entertaining, maybe just need a manager or someone to career them on the mike but tag teams don't get nor need much mike time to get things done.

I'm assuming that the person we pick is getting pushed to the moon as well, so with that being said i think it's James Storm. With the WWE media machine behind him he could be a Megastar, he has loads of charisma. I'd like to see he and Roode there but i like what they are doing in TNA right now so i'm not complaining.

I would pick one of the following..

#1- Sting(Black and white facepaint only though). Reason being that I personally would enjoy the story that could be told from them. Good example being Taker is the Lord of Darkness or so he claimed..and Sting could come to the WWE claiming it was the darkness that took over his life and he has had to fight against it every day since then to remain himself. He plans to eliminate the Undertaker in order to finally remove the darkness from his life for good. Taker of course, isnt a person to simply give up his position of supernatural power. I think a good story could form from this in all honesty.

#2- Sean O'haire- I personally think WWE dropped the ball on what could of been a MAJOR heel smash hit with Sean O'haire. He was that guy who didnt tell you to DO something bad, but more or less provoked you to do it by making it sound like it wasnt as bad as its made out to be. There was so much potential behind this gimmick that I don't think it was given a fair shot like it should have been given before they changed his direction.

#3- Mordecai- This reasoning sort of goes back to Undertaker again simply because I feel they should of built this character up just a bit more and they could of had something similiar to what Taker and HBks fued became. The LIGHT vs The Darkness, only in this case...The Light would of represented evil this time, and The Darkness would of been the good as Taker was the dark, and Mordecai the light. Its a fued I felt would of had good potential with a proper build.

#4- Billy Kidman = No real reason, just liked his work as a heel cruiserweight.

I like the picking for each division idea:

1. Bobby Lashley- but with a Manager maybe Road Dogg or Vickie Guerrero

2. Colt Cabana- I think he would be a solid mid-carder in WWE and he could tag/feud with CM Punk when he's not in the title picture

3. Chyna- I know she is unstable and who knows about her ring shape, but she paved the way for Beth Phoenix and Karma, fueds between them could make the Divas interesting. (I know this will never happen given the history between the people who call the shots and herself, not to mention the journey into Porn which would not sit well with the PG era but the thread said ANYONE)

4. The Motor City Machine Guns- I rarely watch TNA anymore but when I did they were almost always the highlight of the show for me. they're young and I think you could argue a career tag-team (meaning they're a real team and you can't see them splitting for singles careers until much later in their careers if ever) that could really be used to build the tag-team division.

5. I decided to add a writer also. Paul E. Heyman! And this would be my first choice. Give him Smackdown and give JR Raw and I think we would see drastic improvements in the quality of programming we get every week.

Since this thead says a wrestler, writer, manager, etc. I am going to go way out there just for the hell of it. From when I watched TNA over the years (very hit and miss to be honest) I would find a way to bring in this guy...

200px-Mr._Mitchell.jpg

Yep, James Mitchell...

With all the talk of people wanting a monster heel, etc. I figure you bring this guy in to manage some new up and coming big guy who just goes on a path of destruction so he doesn't have to talk or really be able to work the microphone. I just remember him managing Abyss and later the all so brief management of Judias Mesias and it seems like he could add a unique dimension to the WWE.

I know the title said one but i would bring in Colt Cabana and Chuck Taylor. They are two of the funniest wrestlers out who can also wrestle fairly well unlike that joker Santino. I can just imagine these two in a feud being as funny as fuck while also working a great match in the ring.

Oh and as far as managers go, Armando Alejandro Estrada! The guy was fantastic. You wanted to see wrestlers get their hands on him, he had a catchy slogan (i know it was his name but everyone said it along with him).

Also Jamie Noble. Loved Noble, one of my favorite wrestlers ever.

I could go on and on but i won't....

I`d love to see Brock Lesnar back in the WWE. I don`t think there is any bigger name out there at this time than Lesnar that would please the WWE audience more. Hes known by older fans who seen him in WWE and fans off all ages of UFC who have seen him there. I think the kids would love him if he was booked as a face. Brock could make a major impact in the WWE if he came back. I dont think he is as big physically, as he was back when he was in WWE before. Imagine Brock coming back and challenging Cena for top dog in the business. Cena could lose and go off for a long holiday and Brock could take over where he left off. That would be a refreshing change having brock back in cenas top dog role. Probably would not happen but it would be a great break from Cena.

i think it would be awesome to see brock lesnar make a return to the wwe, and i have a feeling that he may appear back in wwe at some point, once hes officially finished with ufc. imagine the big feuds that he could have...cena, orton, punk, triple h, the undertaker, sheamus, miz, even bring stone cold out of retirement for a match with him, just to name a few. if he was to come back, id definitely begin to get excited about wwe again lol.

I jsut recently started watching ROH since we jsut started getting it on TV so I'm not sure on the details of the teams but I've seen 3 or 4 tag team matches and if I could choose anyone I would pick up pretty much any of their main tag teams because the tag team division is in the dumps right now. They should either build it up by getting some of those teams or get rid of them and bring back the cruiserweight belt.

I would too like a pick in each division and creative aswell:

1 Samoa Joe would definetely be the renegade face kinda like how Austin was. The crowd loved him yet he played by his own rules

2 Davey Richards for sure. He is an amazing talent and would be an excellent transitional mid card to main event.

3 Motor City Machine Guns needs to rebuild the tag division in WWE. I bel
believe they are essential to the rebranding of tag teams.

4 Madison Rayne would do well in WWE. She is gorgeous and works an excellent bell to bell match. Works the crowd well and gains instant heat.

5 For creative I have to go with Justin Labar. He does wonderful things for PWO and I think he would be excellent in WWE.

This is starting to become ridiculous. You guys can hire ANYBODY, yet most of you are choosing tag team wrestlers, mid card guys and fringe main event talent. You have all officially lost your right to complain about the WWE product ... because it's obvious that none of you are taking it seriously!

The WWE's biggest problem right now is their lack of STAR power. The Attitude Era gave us Austin, Rock, Angle, 'Taker, Triple H and Foley. It was followed by Lesnar, Guerrero, Edge, Benoit and Jericho along with guys like 'Taker, Triple H and Angle.

What is there today? Cena ... then Punk, Ziggler, Miz, Orton, Bryan, Big Show, Shaemus and Wade Barrett? The star power at the top right now is NOWHERE near where it was when the WWE was pulling in huge ratings.

With the lack of star power, the only answer to this question is to bring in a STAR. Either Brock Lesnar or Kurt Angle. There's no other realistic answer that can bring to the table what those two can.

----

And to those that say the WWE needs to build new stars ... well, the easiest way to build new stars is to have stars already on the roster. Lesnar and/or Angle would help build new stars.

I think the best choice would be Shawn Michaels. Although he said he would not wrestle again, he did say he would like to be part of future WWE storylines, or however he put it. The point is he is the guy that could help Triple H run Raw and make it super interesting. Think about it, DX running RAW?! That would be awesome, ratings wise, business wise, and entertainment wise. He would also be perfect to help spice up the potential third match of Undertaker vs. Triple H at this years WrestleMania, WrestleMania 28. Shawn Michaels would be the best choice to have a superstar come back to the WWE.

I would re hire Low Ki use him for what he can do in the ring also bring in Homicide Sonjay Dutt and Petey Williams also WWE should look into Kenny King. He was in the finals Tough Enough 2 now he is ROH most popular wrestlers then I would bring back Jim Cornette for backstage
