Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

I don't even know how one would propose that...

Well my wife is awesome and girls talk about some of the craziest shit when they are chatting with eachother. It apparently was an idea from one of her friends, her boyfriend loved it, she thought it would be a crazy idea, and the rest is history.

If I wouldnt have bought 8 packs of Pop Rocks at the movie bc I was high, this would never have likely happened. Thanks go out to the weed farmers of the world for saving an otherwise un-eventful day. Weed+Carbonated Sugar Rocks+Blowjob= great saturday.

Although the fact I wasted $ on that terrible Red Dawn remake did damper my spirits. Here is a tip: If you buy tickets to go see a movie you choose, dont trade them in because your wife insists it will be boring. She will be wrong, thus proving you are right. Small victory, I suppose.

Red Dawn=crap

Seven Psychopaths=pretty good

That Red Dawn remake was finished like 3-4 yrs. ago, & the studio shelved cause they thought it was garbage, it wasn't until the people in it, like Hemsworth, became huge names that they decided to release it in hopes that name power alone could carry it to a decent showing in the Box Office.

The original Red Dawn wasn't particularly good, so why anyone thought a remake would be a good idea at all is beyond me.

Because in Hollywood its easier to come up with ideas that have already been done instead of hiring talented script writers or doing something creative. They get paid and dont have to even use their brain.

If it was a book, popular kids show or a crappy movie from 20 years ago- it gets the green light no matter if it is a terrible idea or not.

The eponymous character in the tale "Tastycles texts Sam and Lee for advice from girl's bedroom" is Jewish, which isn't exactly something you come across when you grow up in Wales.

No it isn't. There was only two Jews in the whole of my secondary school. And one of them was a teacher. There is also none in my campus at the moment. There aren't any Christians either. Seems like everybody's grown up.

JGlass, do you actually practice Judaism? Or do you just have Jewish parents?

That's really weird from an American standpoint where there's always a large portion of religious people most anywhere you go, even university.

No, I don't practice Judaism or believe in any of it or anything like that, I just like celebrating the holidays, dropping a phrase in Yiddish on occasion, and controlling the banks and media. My parents are Jewish, though my mom converted after I was born. I did go to Hebrew School until I was bar mitzvahed, but I sort of lost interest after that. I don't know exactly when I became an atheist, I reckon it was around the beginning of high school, but I don't think I really considered myself religiously Jewish for a while, perhaps even before my bar mitzvah. It all felt very much like a routine to me, and in preparing me for my bar mitzvah my religious school forgot to instill a belief in God in me. I still rocked the SHIT out of my bar mitzvah though, I still remember parts of my Torah portion today.

Not sure if I have actually ever met a Jew.

I imagine it to be a magical if confusing experience due to the Tower of Babel

You probably did when you were in Boston and you just didn't realize it. You could have definitely met a Jew in Boston if someone took the time to set up a meetup between yourself and Boston's finest WZ poster... and no, I'm not talking about Guy Compton.

Onto Skyrim, just completed the Bards College quest and the battle with Olaf One-Eye could have been a real killing session. Following the poet into Olaf's tomb/throne room, there is basically an army of level draugurs waiting for you - at least 3 Dreadlords, not including Olaf himself plus numerous Scourges, Wights etc.

Luckily, despite wielding a battleaxe and a warhammer, Grune is a cautious creature. Seeing the poet standing before an altar, Grune refused to approach him before scoping out the room. Noting all the enthroned draugrs, he pulled out his trusty bow and hidden at the doorway proceeded to pick off the draugrs one by one. Most of the poor guys did not fully emerge from their seated position. There were only two draugrs Grune could not see so while the poet went after the emerging Olaf, the Destroyer dealt with them. Then without even having to approach, two long range arrows finished Olaf.

Good fun.

Anybody find all of the "treasure map" pieces in Skyrim? I have two of them and am really curious to what the completed map leads to.

You're going to hold that against me forever, aren't you?

Probably.

Sounds almost as glorious as the real Olaf One-Eye tale. Then again, a true barbarian would rush in and swing away, regardless of how many draugr were waiting. That said, I'd probably have done the same thing as I quite enjoy a spot of target practice every now and then.

I've done a few of the treasure maps, but the treasure is generally just levels coins, equipment, potions, jewels, etc. It's not like collecting all the treasures leads you to this secret stash of rare items you can't get anywhere else.

You guys know me, I'm not Cena's biggest fan, and I actually tolerate Ziggles, but I want Cena to win Sunday just so the IWC kids can complain more. Theirs tears nourish me.

Yeah, it would be cool if he was the only man ever to fail at cashing in 2 different cases....

There are just certain people who dont benefit from the case bc they will always be in the title hunt frequently. Cena and Orton come to mind as the top of that list.

I hope he wins, but not even because it's Cena. I hope he wins because getting the briefcase away from Dolph Ziggler is a good idea. That dude sucks.

God I hope I'm well enough to return to work tomorrow. The last 3 days of being sick has just flat out sucked.

You must be pretty sick to prefer work to staying home and resting.

For a time Dolph's overselling was entertaining to me. Then he became an upper midcard staple and it got annoying. His mic skills are subpar, improving, but still not great. My biggest complaint though, they job him one month, then push him the next. If they want to push him as a main event guy, pull the trigger. If not, take the case off him and stop giving him a mic.

Even the most hardened berserkers like Grune and Bronn would have been fucked by a simultaneous attack of 15-20 draugrs plus Olaf himself. It would have been glorious though, worthy of song and a place in Sovngarde.

I've been home resting for 3 days, going to the store to fill a prescription & get some other shit earlier today has been the most activity I've gotten since Fri., despite being cold as shit outside, it was nice to finally get out of my house for 20 mins. I also miss solid food, Once I get over this I don't think I'll be eating soup or yogurt again for a loooooong while.

I did get around to watching the Artist this weekend though, & Damn, that's a good movie.

I wonder how much money that bit cost him. I hope for his sake he already owned all that stuff. At the same time, I hope for his virginity's sake he didn't.

Actually I'm pretty sure Bronn could have taken them on if he was rocking his Dragon Bone armor set and carrying Soul Viper, his Dragon Bone battle axe that has a chance to paralyze any foes it strikes. He just takes insanely low damage, and he also has a perk that enables you to hit multiple foes with one swing.
