Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

So I went to Smackdown last night and Cena did the dark match and for the first time there wasn't the typical "Let's Go Cena"/"Cena Sucks" chants. It was pro Cena. It was weird and I'm not sure I like it. I love partaking in the above chants.

R-Truth was surprisingly over, it was concerning.

Try living in Cena Country, he gets no boos around here so I've never had the chance to partake in the Lets Go Cena/Cena Sucks chants.

R-Truth is good at working live crowds... when he remembers what town he's in.

Hearing Cena get all cheers is great. It just feels right.

I'm reading some of the New 52 Batman right now. About to place an order for volume one of Batman and Robin. Who are the correct WZ comic nerds to discuss this with?

Justin would be the guy for that I'd think.

That's not true. I've been to three shows in Boston, and Cena only got really loud pops at one of them.

I can't remember the last time I went to a show in Boston, but I went to Raw in Hartford a few years ago and he got a MASSIVE pop and the same happened at the two or three house shows I've been to in the last few years.

I think it really depends on those in attendance. Every event I've been to has had the trademark chant minus this Smackdown taping. There was a very feint one, but nothing big. Soon it was drowned out by Lets Go Cena/Orton Sucks chants.

Yeah he is. He even had me singing his stupid song.

Volume One of Batman & Robin features one arc and then the concluding part of another (you know, minus the beginning part). It is baffling.
Is there another book I ought to be purchasing with this? You know, to find the beginning part of the arc that randomly concludes in volume one.

I made an egg this morning, sunny side up, right? So you know how when an egg is frying there's like...yolk, inner clear goo, and outer clear goo?

This page does a good job illustrating it:

The yellow clear goo around the yolk. Anyway I made this egg and ate some of it, but not all of the yellow clear goo had cooked. I ate a little and then stopped eating the egg.

I'm worried I'm going to die of the chicken AIDS.

People eat raw egg all the time. Also isn't sunny side up when you do what you did then flip it over so the yolk breaks and spreads over the rest of the egg?

Raw egg is pretty much fine. It is partially cook egg that causes the most problems.

And sunny side up is pretty self-explanatory if you ask me.

Why would you want to serve a broken yolk on a fried or poached egg intentionally? That is like sacrilege or something.

I'm not sure, I figured that calling it "sunny side up" implied that it was somehow different to a regular fried egg. Although I suppose I should have known better than to apply logic to such a situation.

I only ever eat my eggs scrambled.

That's all I have to say on that subject. I have lots to say about French Toast, though.

The normal/quickest way to cook an egg in a restaurant is to flip it, meaning you cannot see the yolk. People order an egg sunny side up so you can still see the yolk. At least that is how I have always seen it.

And as much as I love scrambled egg, it is low down on my chosen ways to eggs an egg.

Siding with the French now, eh?

First you abandon the 1776 thing and now this? Whats next? Using the flag to wipe bird shit off your car?

Norcal & Hulkamania should be disappointed in you... :disappointed:

I don't see how appropriating French food for the glorification of America is anti-American. I'll eat my toast and potatoes in French fashion and wave the American flag all day long.

Sure. You say that now, but then one day I wake up and you are walking around wearing one of Napoleon's hats, beating people with an old baguette & trying to claim Boston as a new French territory.

I am on to you Jean-Pierre....

All I know about Batman & Robin is that the first trade is made up of issues 1-8 of the series. I don't read Batman & Robin, not a very big fan of Damian.

I like Batman, I think Snyder & Capullo do a great job on that, though they do seem to like doing really long arcs which I imagine can get a little frustrating if you're reading in issues instead of trades for some fans.

I like Batman well enough. But that Court of Owls shit wore thin on me. I generally despise when some eternal evil of great cosmic significance is needlessly tied into a hero's origin story and upbringing.

Thankfully the Harper Row and Mr Freeze issues were strong enough to get me to buy the next volume.

Sometime I surprise myself with how not-racist I am. The city of Boston named a new police commissioner and chief of police today, and I noticed that the new chief was fat way before I noticed he was black. In fact, I wouldn't have even noticed he was black had the new mayor not mentioned that this was the first black police chief in the city's history.

I'm just going to pat myself on the back a little for being such a progressive person.

This is the first thing that popped into my mind while reading that.

So Bone Thugs is going to be playing an hour away from me on February 6th.

Meet and Greet tickets are $100......

I need more side work as soon as possible. I can afford the regular tickets at $20 but holy fuck, an opportunity to meet my favorite group does not come around very often.

$100 is really not bad for the chance. Considering most places charge about $50 just for tickets lately, that is a deal. I hope you get to go Ty.

Oh I'm definitely going to the show. Just a matter of getting the extra scratch for the meet and greet.

So I started playing Civilization 5 yesterday... and just finished my first game today.

The only version of Civilization I had played before this one was the XBox 360 version of Civilization, and while it was great fun, it definitely seemed to be simplified a great deal. Well not this one. This one took me fifteen hours to beat one game, and it was complicated as shit. Religions, policies, luxury resources, tile upgrades, city-states... it was an ordeal.

For those interested (Barbosa), I played as the Danes and wound up winning by scientific victory. I probably could have won by conquest if I was so inclined, but I couldn't bring myself to turn on my Byzantine and American allies after they were so helpful in wiping the Egyptians off the map. I did take care of the Songhai and the Carthaginans all by myself, though.
