Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Killzone 3 was basically a freebie, so if it does disappoint then oh well, on to the stack of unfinished games that ultimately let me down it goes. I liked Killzone 2, until that nearly fucking impossible final battle, so I figured what the hell.

Easter Anne: If you're watching closely, you'll notice near the beginning that Punk is playing with the earpiece of the ref standing in front of him.

I also noticed that he was the only one to show any real emotion when Stephanie praised Triple H as the 15 billion time world champion. He never turns it off.

Eight episodes of OITNB in two days.

Good call, JGlass. You win this round.

Amazing, right? And by holding off on watching it until now, you don't even have to wait that long for the new season.

Sam's new sig, I dig it.

I bought two new games today Frycry 3 (which better be better than Frycry 2), & Killzone 3, now I need to decide which to start, & probably abandon before finishing first.

I'd go with Far Cry 3. Got a good three hours into that. Couldn't stomach Killzone 3.

I really enjoyed Far Cry 3. It was a neat game that had a good balance of action, stealth, explosions, and comedy. The final mission was both so awesome and hilarious that I couldn't decide whether to laugh or rip my (sleeveless) shirt off and pound my chest while screaming battle cries.

Was Killzone 2 the game you were playing a year or two ago where you were complaining about snipers gunning you down every time you got to a certain point in a level?

Didn't Alberto roll his eyes there too

Sounds like my kinda game.

Probably, once you figure out the secret to that it's pretty easy.

Okay, so I finally finished watching the Ascension Ceremony, and here is what I have learned.

  • CM Punk is never not being CM Punk
  • The WWE likes that CM Punk is always being CM Punk
  • Orton can talk
  • John Cena is still the driving force behind the excitement that the WWE produces
  • The WWE's wild plan to make Daniel Bryan even more over than before worked despite the fact that it was really, really hard to watch
  • CM Punk vs. Triple H II is a juicy proposition
  • This is not going to be the biggest match ever, but it will be close to it
  • Why did they play Triple H's music at the end? Shouldn't it end with Cena's? Or Daniel Bryan's? Silence would have been better than Motorhead.

I can't wait for Punk/HHH 2. I'm hoping it'll be at Mania. Or HHH/Bryan at Mania with Punk/HHH at the Rumble or Chamber.

They played HHH's music because the segment culminated in him assaulting his supposed "Face" of the company. I disagreed with it but understood why. The last action was HHH standing over Randy Orton.

I felt the best option was no music whatsoever. The main gist of the ending was Orton seeing HHH/Kane/Cena together assisting Stephanie and Randy being scared shitless over a tease of Cena with the Authority.

Oh and finally I must commend you on your list-making. However it would have been better had you used numbers instead of bullets.

It's an interesting question: which comes first, and which one is the bigger match? It looks like Punk vs. HHH is going to be the more immediate feud given what happened during the ceremony, so I can imagine that culminating at Rumble and Bryan getting the Triple H match at Mania. the other, and probably more likely scenario is that Triple H only has one match in him, and that'll be vs. Bryan at Mania and Punk will feud with another one of Triple H's lackeys.

Ideally Bryan faces Triple H at Mania after Punk beats Triple H for the 30th entry spot in the Royal Rumble, Punk wins the Rumble, and then faces Cena for the title at Mania. That would make me watch WWE regularly again.

I agree that no music would have been the best option. So much had happened over the past twenty seconds: no music would have really helped drive home the, "What the fuck just happened?" vibe the moment had just created.

I didn't want to be chastised for being derivative.

It's weird that Punk/Cena has happened so many times but it's still frankly in dream match territory for me if it happened again.

Not that weird, because its that good each time. With the exception of Survivor Series and SummerSlam in 2012, those two always put on a show, and the two matches I listed were triple threats with Ryback and Big Show respectively.

Did you get my rep where I was mean to you for like puro? I need to make sure you got it because every time I try to rep someone I get the, "You can't rep the same post twice," message.

Like Yaz said, it's dream match territory because they put on a great show every time. Not only do they put on a great show, but they switch it up each time.

On a separate note, I heard this song on my drive from Massachusetts today, and now I can't get it out of my head. I'm not mad because it's an amazing song, but it's still hardcore stuck in my head.

There are few guys who Cena has poor chemistry with, but he and Punk are on another level. I remember the first time Punk countered the 5 Knuckle Shuffle with a kick to the head, I marked out. I remember the first time Punk did his springboard clothesline and Cena caught him for an AA, I marked. They just do so many little things that make the match great.

I think HHH can easily do more then 1 match. He's not old old, he's in his early 40's. Match in January, match in April doesn't seem impossible.

I'd personally want to see Punk/HHH, Bryan/someone else for the title, and Cena/Taker. Cena/Taker NEEDS to happen, and Taker doesn't have many more left. Get it out of the way now before it's too late. UNLESS Hogan is in for Mania, then Cena/Hogan, Punk/HHH (for the title with HHH as champ), and Bryan/Taker.

I agree that no music would have been the best option. So much had happened over the past twenty seconds: no music would have really helped drive home the, "What the fuck just happened?" vibe the moment had just created.
Not only that, but as much as Triple H and Co. were standing above Orton, they hardly had the upper hand, as Stephanie was struck. It seemed to me like a neutral ending rather then a HHH getting the upper hand ending.

Plus I'm not a fan of non-match RAW endings having music. Unless a competitor is celebrating over his rival, music shouldn't be used in my opinion.

Besides, I miss the days of RAW ending during the middle of a melee. It made you want to find out what happened, and now with the app it would help drive people to the app after the show.

I'd be all for DX vs. Bryan/Punk at WM30, assuming HBK wants to come out of retirement for one more match, though HBk vs. Bryan & HHH vs. Punk at WM30 would be more ideal though more unlikely.

Fuck another DX reunion. The last thing I want to see is HBK and HHH *****ing each other on Raw for three hours.

RAW 2009 still gives me nightmares from that stuff. Truly a horrible year.

It had Hardy/Punk and Mysterio/Jericho, but other than that I suppose it was a pretty paltry year. Edge being absent for about half of it didn't help matters, but his stuff with Hardy was solid. That year also had HBK vs. Taker at Mania, which many people consider to be one of the best matches in WrestleMania history.

2009 was actually a very good year come to think of it, you just have to not look at anything involving Randy Orton, Legacy, or DX.

See I can't block that stuff out, Hardy/Punk, Mysterio/Jericho, Edge/Hardy and even Michaels/Taker happened during Mania season of the summer. It's during the fall where all the shitty stuff happens like every year.

SD! 2009 was fantastic though, Punk/Hardy/Mysterio/Edge/Morrison/Jericho were really great during those couple of months.

It's during the Fall that Edge was hurt. Obviously there's a correlation.

A potential massive waste of talent. Why tie up two of the greatest heels the company has ever seen (yeah, I went there) in a tag team whose top competition was a team named The Colons.

The Colons were done by the time they got the titles. It was becoming obvious that Edge was going to turn face and neither him nor Jericho were going anywhere near any of the big belts with Orton/Cena and Punk/Hardy/Taker in the mix. I would have rather had Edge in Big Show's spot. Would have made those tag matches a least a bit more entertaining.

Punk was maybe half as big as he was now. He and Hardy were placeholders for guys like Edge and Jericho. Edge had been in the title scene forever, so the tag thing was probably a way to shuffle him away from it for a brief time before throwing him right back in. Jericho was probably due to step up too.

I actually really liked the dynamic of Jerishow. Having Big Show really allowed Jericho to play up the more cowardly aspects of his character, and I don't think he could have done that with Edge–a coward himself.

Punk/Hardy main evented multiple PPV's over Orton/Cena, at the time before Hardy's suspension I don't think it's very hard to believe they wanted them as the future. It was just the beginning for those two before Hardy got another strike and they de-pushed Punk for a while.

Edge's imminent face turn could have left Jericho as the sole coward with Edge eventually breaking away. Think of what Roman Reigns is doing now with Jericho as the Ambrose of the group.
