Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

You're not alone my friend, I was gunning hard for him in a trade in one of my leagues because I thought he was going to be a top 5 back. That theory turned out to be a bust.

I also drafted Ray Rice on the same team.

Thankfully I didn't get killed by those two since I drafted Reggie Bush as well. I ended up trading Ray Rice and Mike Wallace and got Wes Welker. McFadden helped, his backup Rashad Jennings did good work as well, and MJD was on waiver wire so I picked him up, he's been putting up double digit points since I got him.

I started 0-4, I'm on an 8 game winning streak since then and its the first round of the playoffs this week.

Sooooooo earlier this year I was touting big time that Stevan Ridley would be huge this year.

I thoroughly apologize for that massive fuck up. He got me some good weeks but he's not even active today. It's a shame, dude's got serious talent, I see him doing good with a new team next year but damn Overlord Bill is harsh on his running backs.

I'd hate to say I told ya so but I'd be lying. Pats have 5 RBs on their starting roster, & are still being coached by Belichek, outside of Gronk & Brady, there is not a single player on the Pats you can trust on a weekly basis in fantasy (even Brady has been trustworthy from week to week in fantasy this year).

I have similar feelings on NE backs as I do GB receivers. They are all very talented and each guy will have a pretty big game each year, but after that huge game Bellicheck/Rodgers decides to give the guy who just got called up from the practice squad his attention.

Im going to start warning you guys about the "Gomez Gang 3wr stink" curse on a weekly basis. Whomever I start at WR3 between Stone Cold Tavon Austin, TY Hilton, or Dexter Mccluster wil invariabley not show up at all that week, while the two I dont start automatically go for at least 15 points. EVERY. Fuckin. Time.

I missed TY Hilton's 50 point week, and both of Austin's huge weeks.

My team is named in honor of my glorious beast of a dog.

Well that interview did not start well at all.

Started off asking some technical questions, basically what do certain terms mean. Terms I know, and should have rattled off the top of my head, and then there was nothing but a blank look and a scramble to sound belligerently coherent.

I recovered afterwards and I think I aced everything else but I'm afraid that I did not start with a good impression.

That's the worst. Were you nervous, or was it just a brain fart under pressure?

Combination of the two. I've always interviewed well so I don't know what happened.

Thing that kills me too is that he didn't go over my resume prior to the interview aand I know I did fantastic on that.

I'm just not feeling real confident on it right now.

I hate when they ask for resumes and don't look at them. I get that an interview is more important, but at least take 10 minutes to scan the resume.

I may be harsh on myself right now but thinking back he was impressed with a number of my accomplishments and I connected on a personal level as it became a more comfortable conversation but I can't help but think how bad I started out.

Just so it makes me feel better as well: my coworker mucked up royally on the same questions I screwed up on so I'm not the only one.

Well J, it looks like you'll be making the playoffs in the WZ football league after all. I can't see you losing next week and the best I can do is finish 1 game behind you.

I wanted nothing to do with Ridley this year. I was all about Vereen and in a PPR league he has produced nicely when in the lineup. I've stashed him in most of the leagues I've had him. Same with Andre Brown, another guy I had high hopes for this season.

I dunno, I've had back to back weeks of losing in all 3 of my fantasy football leagues. Clearly the gods have conspired against me.

I'm past the point of second guessing my picks and what not in fantasy football. I've moved on to getting really excited and putting work into my fantasy hockey and basketball teams.

Well your facing a team that's not paying attention next week and I think I have Yaz. Besides it's not even possible for me to tie your record at this point sadly. As long as you can win in the playoffs then that's what matters.

I felt so good about fantasy football going into the season, but now I'm missing the playoffs in both of my leagues. If I wasn't doing well in fantasy hockey, I would strongly consider giving up on fantasy sports for good.

Last week losing to Habs thanks to Kap and Boldin going off on Monday night was hard to take, but I'm pretty certain I've locked up a playoff spot in our league, I think the win over J this week did it.

I filled my final IR spot in hockey today. I have no idea how I've hovered around the top spot for so long as I've had terrible luck with my goalies and blue liners.

I feel better now about my interview. My two coworkers who interviewed as well had the same thing happen to them, so none of us knew the terms he was throwing at us.

Justin beat me in our only head to head, but two of his losses are to J, who I beat both times we squared off, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Given that Justin's losses are to Jx2 and Lariat(3rd in the league) and mine are to Justin, Stormy(6th), and Habs(9th), I'd give him the edge.

I hate Russel Wilson. I hate the Seahawks. Fucking New Orleans just rolling over was pathetic.

8 game winning streak snapped, knocked down to the Consolation bracket in my money league in round 1.

58 points from 3 players on Thursday, a grand total of 35 from my other 6 on Sunday. I hate this game.

Forget about me? 1 game back with 1 to go thanks to SuperCam, AJ Green, and friends.

Well if that's the case then can you just give up and lose intentionally this week?
