Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Has Crock been around lately? I need to ask him how the hell the mormons made it from Utah to my housing estate going door to door.
Took 10 minutes to get rid of them!
Pity they aren't as smart as they are persistant, i don't think the Irish college student demographic is crying out for mormonisim.

I think he lurks on occasion, but he hasn't posted in a long ass time. What you have to realize, though, is that if the missionaries don't convert a minimum number of people on their mission, they get castrated. You'd be persistent to if your dong was on the line.

I am currently sporting a moustache and goatee.

Not that anyone would notice considering it is light blonde. When I allow it to grow, my beard is tricoloured - ginger, dark blonde and some flecks of black. It looks truly awful.

As a follow up to this...

Christmas market with good food and drink followed by a Queens of the Stone Age concert.

Not a bad day

I had a zebra burger, a Belly Buster baguette filled with pulled pork and apple sauce, potatoes Provencal, champignons, Dutch pancakes with strawberry jam and whipped cream, freshly baked coconut maccarones, and four different types of alcohol. All before QOTSA rocked the house down. No One Knows was particularly immense.

I also brought a truck load of sweets that I will gorge on tomorrow (it is a fast day today).

I have a few friends doing the no-shave November thing. None of them look good, but I have one friend that has particularly awful facial hair. It is possibly the most patchy facial hair I've ever seen, occupying his side burns, chin, and neck. It's literally the worst "beard" I've ever seen on someone over the age of 14.

That sounds like a pretty epic day, and a pretty epic meal. Zebra burger? How does zebra taste?

It was nothing spectacular.

The zebra, you understand. The day was all kinds of great.

Add in spending the entire day with a lady-friend and then fortuitously running into another friend at the gig.

Well time to dust off the resume and update it.

Two positions in the Network Dept. at work opened up. Nice pay increase, no longer on the phones all day.

I recently applied for a job which would have me assembling & dissembling large LED displays, like scoreboards, billboards, etc., I doubt I get it as I have yet to hear anything from them, & they didn't hire me the previous three times, I don't see why the fourth would be the charm, but I guess you never know.

Nice. Do you think you have a good chance to get the job?

Man, I hate when that shit happens. I applied to dozens of jobs before I graduated, and I heard back from like, three of them. I wish companies had the courtesy to tell you that they aren't interested. I understand why they don't do that, but it would be nice if they did.

I think I have a good shot at it. Some quick investigating indicates two of my coworkers in my current department are applying too. I have the experience edge, and one is our network admin so he may be too important to switch depts.

Plus there may be 4 openings pending who gets hired at 2 openings in management. My company prefers promoting from within. We have 10 people retiring on the 29th so there are spots galore open.

Other places not doing that makes my job suck more. I work in a HR office for a university and when we have people apply for Civil Service (essentially non-academic) jobs, we will call them to schedule their test (it's a long and confusing process) or send them a letter saying they didn't meet the minimum qualifications. Since most places don't do that, we have people calling every day after they apply wanting to know what's going on with their application. It's annoying as hell

So it turns out my grandpa was a Free Mason, and as such he had a Masonic ceremony in addition to his regular church one. It was not as weird as I was hoping, but Freemasonry is still quite strange. The name of the building was the "Star King Lodge," and there were random pictures of doors and religious symbolism all over the place.

They don't even need to call, just send an e-mail letting you know they're not interested.

Resume completed, I think it looks pretty good. Thankfully I have experience projecting a confident attitude in my writing. Wonder where I got that from?

So I have an African-American roommate, and he hates dealing with anything race related... at all. But tonight he got drunk, and he has said the word, "******," about 100 times in the last 20 seconds. It's hilarious.

I chalk it up to the fact he watched 9 Years a Slave earlier today.

People still use the term African American? I thought that sort of pussy footing was out the window and black was acceptable again.

No Julius Thomas? That isn't good for the Found Santino crew...

Rodgers may not be back for the Thanksgiving day game vs. Det. either, concerns about Suh & Fairly hits on him & him re-injuring it which would put him out of action for 5-6 months.
