Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

2-0 on JGlass recommendations. Gravity was outstanding, no regrets on the 3D either. Amazing stuff.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I'm actually contemplating seeing it again.

So my niece and nephew (who are 7) were horsing around on Monday, so we decided to make it like a real match. My brother took over as Paul Heyman/Zeb Coulter manager for my nephew and I played referee. Let me tell you, my nephew gets it. He sold a knee injury the whole time they goofed off. At one point I ejected my brother from the room and my nephew goes and says to my niece "you see that guy that was over there, he likes to hurt people and so do I" and he charged at her.

Reminds me of myself at that age. He's been watching for probably a year now and he has absorbed so much. Not just from me though, from everything. He was telling me months ago about Dusty Rhodes and how he is the father of Cody and Goldust. This was long before this feud happening now. I was impressed.

Hook 'em while they're young

They're from Detroit, what do you expect?

The stands to be empty? The city is broke, how are those fuckers affording tickets?! Also they're playing Phoenix, fuck Phoenix.

I'm kinda getting annoyed with my Wings, letting a solid young talent like Brunner go, & bringing in Old Man Alfredsson just seemed stupid, especially when it's clear as day that what they really needed to do was bring in a few more solid defensemen.

I am glad the Brunner at least ended up on a team I actuelly have a little respect for like New Jersey, they could really use a guy like him with Parise & Kovie bailing (Though I still beleive Kovie retiring is the best thing that could have happened for the Devils, & had he done it a year sooner they may still have Parise).

Is that going to be in Philly this year? I feel like my days of going to live wrestling events are behind me, but I might make an exception for the Rumble.

Pittsburgh.

I see that. I just want to experience the big PPV's and other important wrestling stuff. Done MSG, done Bound for Glory, done Survivor Series, MITB, Mania. Just need Rumble and Summerslam. Also would like to go to a show in Chicago sometime, maybe Toronto. Gotta kill off my wrestling bucket list.

I like Brunner. I like Brunner a lot. Hopefully between him, Henrique, Larsson, and a few of our other younger talent we can be a solid playoff threat in another two or three seasons.

If Kovie retired a year before so we could keep Parise, then I'd agree that it was a good thing. However, Kovie retiring now doesn't do us many favors. Yeah, he was expensive, but he was also one of the best goal scorers in the league. He deserved that payday.

But there is a degree of truth that it's a good thing that we don't have to pay that salary anymore.

Well SummerSlam has been in LA for years now, so you can cross two things off of your list... if you have any interest in visiting LA, that is.

I've been to LA. It's okay.

Today I was lucky enough for someone to bring up "Frampton Comes Alive" organically in conversation so I got to say, "Everyone owned that album!"

People in the movies say shit like that.

So I did my first interview as a published writer today. I then won two tickets to a Depeche Mode concert, a scarf, a mug and a bottle of wine at a quiz, whilst drinking.

A good day I think

The prizes for bar quizzes on the other side of the pond are different from the ones in America. Usually you get free beer, and occasionally a gift card.

So you were in de pished mode?

I'm sorry, I know that was horrendous. Miko's was better

Hey JGlass, I have a movie recommendation for you.

It's this awesome little indie flick from 2002 called Interstate 60. It was directed by one of the guys who co-wrote the Back to the Future films, and actually has appearances from Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. On IMDB, the movie is described as "A confused young man takes a journey on a road that doesn't exist on any map." There's so much more to it than that but I don't want to give anything away since the next scene and twist tops the next.

Anyway, it sky-rocketed to instantly being one of my favorite films when I saw it earlier this week and I thought you'd love it as well. It's on Youtube and also available on torrents (shoot me a PM if you'd like a link).

Hey J. I've been hunting down additional information for character profiles for the BZT, and I have 42 characters to go. But I need additional information on Chell, The Doctor, Khan, Ness, and Jacket. What series were these characters from?

I'm sure I can find it, but if I have any troubles I'll hit you up. Sounds like a pretty excellent choice. Apparently they really didn't need roads where they were going.

Don't you love when a film that you have zero expectations for works its way into becoming one of your favorites? That's happened to me three times in the last couple years with Midnight in Paris, Speed Racer, and Cloud Atlas.

Hey J. I've been hunting down additional information for character profiles for the BZT, and I have 42 characters to go. But I need additional information on...

Chell: Portal
The Doctor: Dr. Who
Khan: Star Trek
Ness: Earthbound
Jacket: Hotline Miami

Congrats to Justin, handing me my first loss in fantasy this week.

I haven't won yet, you still have Romo tonight vs. Wsh, Skins have given up the 7th most pts. to QBs, & Romo has avg. like 36 pts. a week. You're only down 32 pts. You could still win this thing, plus my team has been under-preforming like a mother fucker this week.
