Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Sentinels don't exactly inspire the feeling of safety.

That teaser clip was sweet as heel though, and those sentinels look pretty bad ass. Judging by their size, though, I'm guessing the climax of the movie features a battle with Master Mold.

...Or Nimrod, who's first appearance in comics was in the Day of Future Past storyline.

I had the second highest point total in fantasy last week, which means if I had faced anyone other than JGlass I would still be undefeated... stupid schedule...

And I won on the backs on your Green Bay Packers. Fantastic.

I'm pretty sure I was in a similar boat with him Week 1

I had the second most points week one, so at most you could have had the third most points.

I'm feeling really great about my team in this league and how many points they've been able to put up. This is especially encouraging considering I drafted from the 10 spot, and while getting wins isn't impossible from that position, leading the league in points is pretty surprising. That said, I'm only ahead of Justin (in terms of points) by 4, and Thriller is pretty close behind him.

I'm not confident about this week, though. Theo's got some pretty good matchups, especially Russell Wilson at home against Jacksonville. Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers and my two Packer WRs are going against a very solid Cincinnati defense, and while I'm sure they'll put up points, I'm not sure it'll be enough.

I'm 2-0. I feel like I have a solid set of starters, but my bench is shaky. Not a fan of my running back situation after Charles and Forte either.

If I were you I'd be far more concerned with weeks 4 & 9, especially week 9 where you have like 8 players with bye weeks.

Think I'm ready for my trip to Minneapolis.

3 nights at the Holiday Inn Executive Level with 2 Queen beds, passes to Nickelodeon Universe, The Aquarium, The Science Museum, The Minnesota Zoo, and Water Park of America. 2 upper level tickets to the Vikings/Browns game, and plenty of spending money.

This should be a fun trip for the family. I don't think we'll get to everything unfortunately, some of these places have fucked up times that they're open. Looking like I'll miss the Science Museum and potentially the zoo. However, Nickeloden Universe should be a blast for my daughter, and the water park as well.

Well with TR gone, & the Browns starting there 3rd string QB, you should see the Vikes actually win a game.

I know right? Should be 2-0 with me going to the game live.

The tickets I got are nothing special, upper level seating row 20 kind off in the corner, but should be able to see everything. For $32 per I'm not complaining. I had a chance to grab some lower level seating for $50 a piece but they were sold before I had a chance to grab them. Otherwise I'm not spending $100 a ticket this time around.

I have never seen the Jets win a game live. Or lose. Or tie. I've never seen a Jets game. I have plenty of time to take care of that, though.

Your trip to Minnesota sounds pretty great, Ty. I had no idea that Nickelodeon had a theme park there, but hopefully it's a good experience. I also hope you manage to get to the zoo, because Zoos rule.

Yeah the theme park used to be called Camp Snoopy back in 98 when I went as a kid, now it's owned by Nickelodeon so you have all the rides themed accordingly. My daughter's been talking about this ride all month since she's seen the picture:

Not gonna lie though, the kid in me is looking forward to these rides:

Isn't most of that shit in Mall of America?

I know I've been to the aquarium, it was one of those walkthrough ones, where the water is all around you, those are fucking awesome.

Yep, the theme park and Aquarium are. The Water Park is right next door to MoA. The Science Museum is about 20 minutes away in St. Paul, and the Zoo is in Apple Valley, about 17 minutes from my hotel.

The Mall is about 10 minutes from my hotel. They have shuttle services to the mall and back, though I think I'll just drive myself there. The only place I won't drive to is the Metrodome Sunday. For $5 or whatever it is I'll take the light rail there and back. Makes sense as my wife and daughter will be at the mall while my stepdaughter and I go to the game, so when we get back we can go do whatever afterward.

My day just got a lot better.

Found out my health insurance will be going down from $237.00 a month to $80.70 a month next year. My company is going from paying 85% of the premium up to 95%. Same benefits I got now, just a hell of a lot cheaper.

That's fucking awesome. How did that happen?

Bugger, and all I get is this lousy NHS

EDIT - Sorry that was childish, congrats on that.

I'm surprised the price didn't go up with the Health Care Reform coming soon.

Contract negotiations between the union and the company went better than I expected apparently. It used to be 85% across the board no matter the plan, but now it's tiered. I got the Single A plan which works just fine for me and that's 95% covered by the company, Double A is 90%, but the top of the plans the Triple A plan is only 80%. So the more expensive plans will cost more now.

I got an on-call gig as a valet, and I'm doing my first gig tonight. I am not excited, but the restaurant I'm valeting for is pretty pricey, so I'm hoping that I can rack up some nice tips tonight.
