Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Sounds like the last house I lived in, did you take pics of all the damage before moving in? It might be a good idea so that the landlord can't claim you guys did all the damage. This is something that happened to me before, landlord claimed we damaged the place & kept the security deposit & then sued us for another $2200, we ended up making a deal & getting it down to around $500 just to make the whole situation go away, but it was still shitty, we were still paying for damage that was there when we moved in.

That's an excellent idea. the landlord actually stopped by and walked into the house and had thenerve to say, "Everything is fine, yes?" as if he didn't enter the house through a broken door, walk up creaky ass stairs, through a hall with crumbling walls and chipping paint, and stand directly under a light fixture that was hanging on it'is side. We all resisted the urge to make sarcastic comments, so we just listed some of the problems instead. He said to make a list and give it to him. It's gonna be a long fucking list.

So the draft didnt go so well. By that, I mean it didnt go well like the Custers Last Stand.

For no less than FIVE of my picks, my internent connection cut out directly before or during my clock, thus causing the system to auto draft someone for me. Four. Times.

One of them was Calvin Johnson, but much higher than I wanted him (12 overall)

So anyhow....

QB

Andrew Luck

Auto pick Sam Bradford....whom I waivered and picked up Philip Rivers

WR

Calvin Johnson - auto pick
Brandon Marshall
TY Hilton
Hakeem Nicks - Auto Pick
Julian Edleman - Auto Pick - waiver swapped for Brandon Lafell
Tavon Austin

RB
Alfred Morris
Demarco Murray - Auto pick, which made me suicidal
Bryce Brown

TE
Jordan Cameron
Brent Celek

D/ST
Arizona

K
Greg "The Leg/Legatron" Zuerline

What a fucking massacre. I did my best with some waiver-wire band-aids, but....it is what it is.

No offense Norcal, but that is fucking ugly. You're stacked at receiver with Marshall and Megatron, I would see if you could flip one and pick up a quality running back. Not sure if you'll get the value that you would want for either of them though. Cameron is gonna surprise some people but unless you get Graham or Gronk any tight end is the pu pu platter, only some are slightly better entrees then the others but nothing significantly different.

Other news, I'm fucking exhausted. My friend and I went to town tearing down the walls of my basement bathroom today. I found mold on the inside of the walls so we tore all that shit down so we can put fresh sheet rock up tomorrow. Yes. Labor work on Labor day. Fucking fantastic.

No offense taken. I did call it Custers Last Stand. The auto picks (fucking obviously) ROYALLY fucked everything up, since one time, it was two picks in a row, and then 20 picks until I got my next one (I was second to last, then second in the next round). That can sorta wreak havoc on any plan you have.

Very happy with my defense and kicker though. lulz. Marshall, Hilton, and Cameron were the only two I got off my actual draft board.

Julian fucking Edleman and Demarco Murray. Thanks, yahoo draft system.

I mean, Alfred Morris could be huge if RG3 needs some more time to heal, but Demarco Murray is going to be deadweight. Fortunately you're stacked at WR, and could potentially deal Tavon Austin for a better RB.

Luck has potential. Lots of it. I suspect he's going be the top sophomore QB. I actually passed on Kapernick in one of my drafts for Luck.

It's not an awful team. if you can leverage one of your WRs for a good RB, you'll be fine.

If it's a PPR league then you're gonna clean up with Mashall, & Megatron, as they're looking going to get about 90% of the receptions for their teams, it's not a horrible team, just a horrible selection of RB's

I have internet and television. My new house has finally become a home. A home with crumbling walls and lead paint falling from the ceilings.

Don't forget to make sure the photos are time stamped. Otherwise they will mean nothing. Another good idea would be to document your landlord sleeping around on his wife.

DEMARCO MURRAY WAS A GODDAMN AUTO PICK IT WASNT MY FAULT. I am considering swapping out Murray for Danny Woodhead or Bryce Brown....I have that little faith in Murray against the Giants D. The only solace is with Murray and Morris, thats four games against an Eagles defense that is ghastly terrible against the run.

and yea, im counting on some nice double-dip days with Luck and Hilton.

and Justin, it is a PPR league, so at least there is that.

I got ya, I know you're way too smart to draft Demarco Murray unless your back was against the wall. As you said, 4 games against the Eagles defense is going to do wonders for you, and while I'm not quite as high on Morris as Lariat (who believes he'll lead the league in rushing), I have few doubts he'll have a great sophomore season. And that Luck/Hilton combo is going to be fantastic. Nothing better than getting double points on a touchdown play, and those two should be hooking up more and more.

While we're on the topic, I had my third fantasy draft tonight and once again drafted from the last spot, but I wound up with a pretty good team. Got Lynch/Rodgers with my 10/11 picks, then White/Cruz with my next two picks. My only real concern with my lineup is that Darren Sproles is my RB2, and I REALLY want to get rid of him. I'm thinking of a blockbuster trade with my friend where I give up Rodgers/Sproles/Tavon Austin for Peyton/Rice/Wayne, but I'm a little concerned that Manning might get hurt and Tavon will outperform Wayne. It's tough fucking call.

The good news is that I am really deep at RB. I have Lynch, Sproles, Monte Ball, Daryl Richardson, Chris Ivory, and Isaac Redman. Besides Lynch, one of them is bound to have a big season, right?

First cheerleading session of the new season. FUCK I'd forgotten how hard training was. Feels good though.

You're a male cheerleader? Learn something new everyday. BTW JGlass don't feel too bad. I live in an attic, which despite air conditioning and 3 fans, gets hot as fuck during the day.

I'm assuming it's not PPR if you are wanting to get rid of Sproles. Honestly, I would stay away from the blockbuster, just because the rest of your team seems really good and at least one of those other RBs should have a big year.

It is PPR, but is that really going to make that much of a difference for Sproles?

I'm probably not going to do the blockbuster, it was just an idea I entertained because I really want a better RB than Sproles.

Considering he has more career receiving yards than rushing yards, I would say yeah, big time.

This. If you look at ESPN's PPR vs. non-PPR ranks, there's at least a 30 spot difference due to how much more of his damage he does receiving as opposed to rushing.

Well obviously, I just feel like there might be a better option available at RB than Sproles.

I guess I'll give him a few weeks to see what he can do.

Don't forget that the Saints have their coach back, too. All signs point to Sproles being great in PPR this season.

Do we really wanna go there on living situations right now? lulz

Hey man, you knew what you were getting into when you were getting sent over there. I, meanwhile, am paying a pretty penny to live in this place and it seems like I'm overpaying. I'm not saying this is the worst place in the world or anything, I just wish it was worth the price of rent.
