Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Fuck Basketball. Just had to get that out.

So, apparently the Green Ranger wants to fight Punk in an actual MMA match. I am quite surprised the interwebz did not explode yet with fanboy anticipation. Oh, wait. It was on the main page so I am sure only a dozen people actually read it....

Also, am I the only one who is smart enough to realize that RVD is not gonna win MITB and cash in on Cena? Why do people think this will happen? Sure, it would be fun to see, but no way is that happening. Seriously, way more options that make sense.

While we're on the subject of basketball, I can't recommend the Chris Harren 30 for 30, Unguarded, enough. It's likely my favorite so far, though the Fab 5 30 for 30 is also fantastic.

A little bit of both, actually. If the Pistons had players worth cheering for (Monroe and Drummond are starts, although Drummond was hurt a bit this year) I'll watch. But yes, I cheer for my favorite players. T-Mac was it in the early 2000s (even though the Pistons eliminated him) and LeBron really has been since he moved to Miami. idk why, but everyone hating on him made me like and appreciate him even more.

EDIT: And I agree with your statement that basketball is the only sport I'd give a pass to bandwagoning.

My dad and I were talking about the Piston's most recent championship team. I was surprised I was able to name their starting lineup off the top of my head (Billups, Hamilton, Prince, Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace) considering it was a team without a real star player. Of course all five starters were great at their specific roles, but none of them were great all around players. Amazing team, though.

And I wouldn't call rooting for the team that has your favorite player bandwagoning. I'll always root for LeBron James unless he does something truly terrible, but I don't see that happening with him. He's a great player that I enjoy watching, so I'm going to follow him throughout his career.

The Pacers are my favorite team, but Dirk is my favorite player so I also root for the Mavs. Not that I was asked.

That's kind of like me with the Nets and Heat. The only time I'll root against the Heat is when they're playing the Nets.

Oh and after playing my career in NBA2k13, I find I start to like and dislike certain players based on what they do in my game. Like my guy is the starting center/power forward for the Nuggets and until today when they traded him, Ty Lawson was the starting point guard and I hated the guy. He rarely passes despite my guy being the best player on the team and he frequently uses too many ball moves to try to beat defenders. Looks like he is auditioning for And 1 when he brings it up the court.

I know what you mean. My guy is the starting center for the Rockets, and Jeremy Lin is such a pain in the ass. It's too hard to hate him in real life though considering everyone is just waiting for him to fail and he refuses to prove his detractors right.

Why does the basketball game have to start so late? Some people have work in the morning, ABC. I'm not one of those people, but try to be considerate!

It's only late to you East coasters.

Today I revisited the dentist to get some new stitches put in cause the other ones apparently didn't do their job, & stop the bleeding, instead I spent all not running to the bathroom vomiting what felt like gallons of blood & spitting up blood clots. After the dentist fixed me up & stopped the bleeding, I went home & finally got some much needed sleep, & was able to actually eat something & keep it down. Other than that everything seemed to go really fine, not really feeling much pain, & haven't had to take anything for it all day (I've only used 2 of my 15 Vicodin), that said my gums are still pretty sensitive so I'll likely still be eating soft foods for the next few days.

Basketball is great.

I don't think anybody really cares about the Power Rangers anymore except for Killjoy.

And yeah, that's not going to happen.

Where the heck have you been?

I agree with nightmare, Fuck Basketball

See.... he knows what I am saying

Where the heck have you been?

Real life. Been working. Also I moved a few weeks ago and the upkeep\repairs are a bitch. Paint, drywall, plumbing, etc. All things that apparently the last people did not bother to do.

Add in a dash of minimal sleep with a twist of lady drama and you have yourself a complete breakfast. Seriously, women are fucking ******ed in the head.

...and i have gotten addicted to this Transformers game on my phone. Which, since my battery life sucks, I can only really play while near a charger as to not be stranded without a phone. But since its 2013 and phones are everywhere, I guess there is no real way to get stranded seeing as I dont travel abandoned roads or creepy forests.

No, don't fuck basketball. Basketball doesn't deserve it.

JDF would win.

I have that on my phone, but I have yet to play in depth.

Levels are easy at first, but can be a bitch later. The boss system is structured nice to where you can still get points just for helping win a battle, which is nice especially since you cant get cool shit unless you win medals from bosses. I really like the massive amount of characters and the special episodes are sweet.

Got a Marvel game also, but that damn thing looks more in depth so it will have to wait.

Apparently my bro and his girlfriend had a bet that went along the lines of like whose ever team won game 7 Jay, my brother, had to get a tattoo of the teams logo. It's funny because his team was definitely not the team that won.

(i am not at all familiar with basketball so forgive me if i say something wrong)

Heat are proof that you can win championships when you buy a team. Just like the Yankees used to be.

Hopefully Bruins win the Stanley Cup to make up for it, it's been a great series so far.

Taking a tattoo bet has to be one of the stupidest things someone can do.

Hey Wicked, welcome back.

Disagree. The main difference between the Heat and the Yankees is that the NBA has a salary cap, and the MLB doesn't. The Yankees could outspend any team and buy all the best players, but the Heat didn't have that luxury. There were plenty of other teams competing for LeBron James, but the Heat got him because they were able to assemble a great team.

Furthermore, as much as Miami's big 3 are the core of this team, they by no means carry it. Without the great play from Shane Battier and Chris Anderson tonight, the NBA Championship would be going back to Texas. They weren't the only two role players that helped the Heat win either: Allen, Miller, Haslem, Cole, and Chalmers all played huge roles in getting the Heat this championship.

Miami didn't do anything that the Knicks or Lakers or Celtics couldn't feasibly do, they just did something that those teams were unable to do: assemble a great team.

I feel Mario Chalmers is nearly at the level that he can surpass Chris Bosh. He won't in terms of name value, but I feel he can be a slightly better player than Bosh. But hey, I love the guy so I'm bias.

In other news this week has been hell. Monday night and all day Tuesday I was incredibly sick. Like throwing up more than any person should be allowed to. Of course those were my days off so that was just dandy. Wednesday was pretty ho-hum. Today sucked hard. Had to come into work from 7A-830A because the girl working isn't pill trained and our night shift guy (who happens to be the administrator/boss) didn't want to wait until 830 and stay to do pills. So I got stuck doing it. Whatever. Back in to work my usual Thursday 11A-11P. It sucked and then our weekend night shift guy (my cousin) got the dreaded illness everyone had. So I offered to work if he absolutely needed me too. He did. I was informed that at 3A I'd be relieved. Well it is 415 and still no signs of that. And I gotta be back in at 3P to work my 3-11. I'm gonna be miserable. Thank goodness I have Saturday off.

It has been awhile since this has happened so I should've figured this would be in the cards sooner or later. I'd have my cousin cover, but he did this Tuesday and Wednesday as he covered for the 3 staff members that were sick plus he works the overnight shift tomorrow so that is pretty much out of the question. So this post was pretty much pointless.

Yeah, the whole buying a championship is bullshit. Otherwise the Angels and Dodgers and (prior to this year) the Red Sox all would have won championships. Dodgers and Angels sucked this year, Red Sox were shit last year with "bought" talent. It's not buying championships, it's signing the RIGHT players. Heat did that, Yankees have done it, Red Sox did it in 04 and 07.

Agreed. I hope he cries when he gets it.

Thanks man much appreciated now what the hell is taking you so long? My mom is single and on the prowl right now you better get in on the action before the window of opportunity slams in your face! Are you gonna be my new step-dad or not?

We had a wild night where we pleasured each other endlessly at the carnal level, tearing into each other like wild animals during mating season. After that we decided to go our separate ways, convinced that nothing would ever top those three minutes.

That was just a bunch of words i never wanted to hear in relation to the woman who gave birth to me. I'm gonna do myself a favor and repress the shit out of it.

At least you tried and that's all I could ask for, I guess.
