Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Damn so much going down this weekend.

Just got my suit today, but I need the pants shortened quite a bit so I gotta hit up the seamstress in town tomorrow. Hopefully a haircut tomorrow. Then Friday I'm going and getting the tattoo I've wanted done since my daughter was born. It's gonna be a rose with her hand prints from when she was born and her name and I'm gonna have it put on my chest over my heart. Saturday is an adult prom themed party (thus the suit) at a bar that we frequent. Sunday is my niece's first Holy Communion.

Don't forget about Free Comic Book Day this Saturday!!

Indeed, a quick search tells me there's a new comic book store in Bismarck, or at least the one I went to moved to a new location.

Name of the store: Action Jackson Comics

Been awhile since I picked up any comics, I know I'm horrible but I've had such a lack of time or chance to really go check the comic store out.

I'm planning on grabbing the final tpb of DMZ, & some Walking Dead, hopefully I can get one of the compendiums *fingers crossed*.

So for our fantasy league this year I decided to do something different and "hosted" a press conference to announce the draft date, location, and other basic information. I was adamant on a slogan and we went with "We're Coming Home" as the draft is going back to the place it existed (my mom's driveway). Well we had some fun and made a "blooper" reel with "unused" slogans. I like to think it is entertaining, I'm probably wrong haha. I do get to do my best at imitating Macho Man and I reference Merk in the video. Viewer beware, I appear shirtless. That seems to be a recurring thing for me.

EDIT: The first 50 seconds aren't even "bloopers". It is just the first take of the presser that we didn't use. I don't know why our video guy decided to throw that in.

I am still doing this god damn indexing - on the letter 'O' at the moment. My progress has not been helped by a desperate head cold.

I'm staring at green bars as I move well over 100 folders from one email account to another. I'm on C right now.

Not only is it Free Comic Book Day, but it's also Star Wars Day (May The 4th) and the Comic Book store in my town is doing a signing with Kid Kash.

Awesome.

We won't be having Kid Kash doing a signing, we get somebody better...

They'll be there to raise money for the Make-a-Wish foundation.

Tell me about it, except instead of having to index a book I wrote, I have to move all my shit back to New Jersey.

I was flying along at a rate of knots today geting through O, P, Q and most of R in rapid order.

Then I came up against the entry of 'Roman Empire', which is involved in at least 90% of my book so that was my day ruined.

At the height of my cold, I had to cut my grandad's grass.

Fuck me, I nearly keeled over.

Yeah man, I'm not looking forward to my graduation ceremony tomorrow. I'm really really really hoping that I feel better by tomorrow, but I'm kind of resigned to having a miserable day tomorrow. The fact that I have to move out afterwards doesn't make it much better.

4 hours later I got the folders moved then started the process of moving the actual inbox over. 13000 emails. Says it was gonna take 2 hours so I went to lunch. After that it's the 9000 emails in the Sent folder.

I spent 2 hours trying to get my dudes sectional couch up his stairs with him. We knocked out boards, took out siding, everything. It wouldn't go up, period. Got pissed, tied a rope to the thing, a 125 pound 8 foot long couch, and hulked that sucker up over his 10 foot balcony. God I'm in better shape, 6 months ago I would have died taking it up the stairs.

Today was pay day... I have no food in my house, and. . . 43 dollars. Can I eat healthy for the next two weeks, tune in tomorrow and see if Phatso has any hair left, at all.

I checked out some pictures and videos of Northeastern commencement ceremonies this morning to see what I'm getting into. All of them are over three hours long (and I have to be there two hours prior to the start of the ceremony), and they cram the thousands of us onto the floor of TD Bank Garden. For the first time I am regretting my decision of going to a large school.

To make matters worse, my cold is still lingering. I don't think it's as bad as it has been, but it isn't better either. I was supposed to go see Iron Man 3 last night but I had to pass because I just wanted to go home and sleep. Of course, sleeping with a cold barely qualifies as sleeping as I was waking up every few hours with the dire need to blow my nose. It may be wise for me to invest in a portable pack of tissues for the ceremony.

I'm still excited to graduate and get this over with. I'm going to look like a bamf in my robes: all black robe and black hat with gold and silver cords (honors and communications student respectively). Unfortunately I probably won't get to spend much time with my friends today since I have to meet up with my family afterwards and then I have to take them on a walk around campus, and then I have to pack up my shit. I was hoping there would be time to work in a nap, but that seems doubtful. Maybe I'll doze off during the ceremony.

Sorry for this terribly exciting post, I'm not sure the lot of you were able to handle so much awesome this early in the morning, but I obviously have some excited/nervous energy to blow off, so that's that.

I would say try to enjoy your day, J, but when you know that some people got their degree certificate from Captain Picard/Professor X, it is always going to be a let down.

Managed to get over the major hurdle that was 'S' before I headed to bed last night. The last major obstacle is 'T' so I should be done by the end of the weekend. Thank the Lord, Jesus and Snoopy and all the other beloved children's characters.

In somewhat related news, I have heard that due to time constraints, the first edition of my book may not have pictures in colour, which I think is a real pity as I managed to get some cracking colour photos of coins, buildings and paintings and they look tremendous in the mock up I have seen.

Ours was only an hour in the basketball arena on campus. My school doesn't really bring in speakers; the president just gives a short speech. The worst part was getting there 2 hours early and having to stand in the volleyball gym, before walking into the actual arena part, then standing for another 20 minutes. I saw a couple girls crying because the heels they were wearing were so uncomfortable.

Uh, have fun?

I wore shorts, flip flops, and a tank top to my graduation. Was the only one not dressed up, lmao. When I went to get my diploma my mom was taking pictures. 20 Points to anyone who knows who she was next to and what he said?

I'll just tell you, it was a school board member who had been on it for 10+ years. He said "there is always one god damn kid who's got to ruin the ceremony by wearing.shorts..." My mom fucking LAID into him, she had it all on video camera to! You could hear it on the video, so fucking funny. She took it to the school that following week. I was personally invited to the last school board meeting, and he was made to give me a public apology.

I showed up in shorts, a tank top, and my flops... again. I get lucky and have some funny shit happen to me sometimes.

We had to dress up for our graduation. The shitty part was I lived up near the arena where our graduation was held. It was a good 45 mins from my high school and we had to leave from the school. The arena was about 10 mins from my house so I had to get a ride to the school and then head right back up there. It was ridiculous. And to think I shaved my beard for that.

The ceremony wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, and the commencement speaker was actually quite good. Regardless, JGlass is no officially a college graduate, and cum laude to boot. I'm celebrating by drinking a pint while I wait for my family.

It's fine if you want to brag about graduating, but we don't need to hear about your sex afterwards, freak.
