I checked out some pictures and videos of Northeastern commencement ceremonies this morning to see what I'm getting into. All of them are over three hours long (and I have to be there two hours prior to the start of the ceremony), and they cram the thousands of us onto the floor of TD Bank Garden. For the first time I am regretting my decision of going to a large school.
To make matters worse, my cold is still lingering. I don't think it's as bad as it has been, but it isn't better either. I was supposed to go see Iron Man 3 last night but I had to pass because I just wanted to go home and sleep. Of course, sleeping with a cold barely qualifies as sleeping as I was waking up every few hours with the dire need to blow my nose. It may be wise for me to invest in a portable pack of tissues for the ceremony.
I'm still excited to graduate and get this over with. I'm going to look like a bamf in my robes: all black robe and black hat with gold and silver cords (honors and communications student respectively). Unfortunately I probably won't get to spend much time with my friends today since I have to meet up with my family afterwards and then I have to take them on a walk around campus, and then I have to pack up my shit. I was hoping there would be time to work in a nap, but that seems doubtful. Maybe I'll doze off during the ceremony.
Sorry for this terribly exciting post, I'm not sure the lot of you were able to handle so much awesome this early in the morning, but I obviously have some excited/nervous energy to blow off, so that's that.
