My favourite put down for her at the moment is "LEGO hair"

I assume that means that their hair looks plastic and stuck in place?

Also, I was just thinking about this, but would you be willing to share some of the pop culture references you tied into Roman history? The culture junkie in me wants to know.

Indeed. The joke goes further by saying that her is put on in the morning like Vader's helmet in ESB

Yeah, there weren't any. I couldn't bring myself to do it. Best I could do were to include pictures and maps, write in a conversational style, which is far from easy and ridiculously long, and add in the odd silly comment about something.

Anyway, by the age of 15-16, the little bastards should be learning the proper way rather than with pop culture references.

If that costs me the job, I don't really care.

The current trend in American education is finding a way to make education fun. You'd think we'd just adopt the techniques of countries like Finland, but I guess that would require admitting we're not the best in the world at something, and that doesn't sit well with most Americans.

In my experience, the general trend in modern education is to breed "test takers." Students are arriving at university knowing how to pass/do well at their exams - GCE/GCSE/SATs etc - but still not actually knowing anything and being totally unprepared for education or indeed life outside the confines of their school. I know I have had to deal with 18 year olds who have never written an essay in their lives because there had been no such thing on any of their exams up to that point so their school did not bother to teach them how to do it.

Although, I will say that a large part of the blame lies with the universities themselves, who refuse to tell schools what exactly they want from students.

So Kurt Angle was apparently at one of my regular hangouts yesterday... and I wasn't. I don't know why I feel disappointed, I never really had any desire to meet him or any other professional wrestler (apart from Maria and Eve) before, but I do.

She walked past me at an ROH show last year or the year before, like I could've slapped her in the face without fully extending my arm. She was absolutely gorgeous. Plus, her tits looked amazing.

Standardized tests are a big deal in American schools as well. Due to the awful No Child Left Behind Act, those test scores are used to rate teachers and decide if schools are doing well enough to continue getting funding.

Terry Funk is gonna induct Mick Foley into the HoF, Fuck yes!!

I was afraid they were gonna give that honor to the fucking Rock

I actually think that the education problem is kind of exaggerated. In every high school there are plenty of very smart kids that don't need gimmicks to learn. The problem comes from the kids at the opposite end of the spectrum that aren't very smart and are not motivated to learn, but we refuse to accept that. Instead of trying to either A) give those students specialized attention apart from horribly mediocre special education classes or B) finding something those students are passionate about and educating them in that area, the general idea seems to be to try and make those students smarter, something that most likely simply won't happen.

Why would you slap her in the face when she's got dem tits! And dat ass!

Seriously though, that sounds awesome. She may have been a pretty lackluster wrestler, but she's easily one of the most beautiful divas of all time in my book.

I'm going to a Devils game that night. That means I'll be going to an indy show Friday, Devils game Saturday, and WrestleMania on Sunday. What an awesome weekend.

Luckily Bennett was in a throwaway match because she was bouncing around the ring or bending over for most of the match.

You've probably mentioned it, but what indy show?

To be honest, I do not find Maria all that attractive, comparatively speaking of course.

I always found her to be incredibly refreshing compared to divas with fake parts and makeup caked on. I have nothing against plastic surgery or liberal use of makeup, but the natural beauty of Maria had an extra appeal to me.

A Pro-Wrestling Syndicate super card show. The match I'm most looking forward to is John Morrison vs. Jushin Liger, but there are a few other matches that could be pretty cool tool/

Liger is one of my all-time favorites and Morrison is the perfect kind of opponent for it to be a great match. I'm really jealous.

As it stands right now there are 10 matches on the card for WM, that is alot of matches for one show. I am mildly annoyed that Kofi & Cesaro are nowhere to be found on the card yet fucking Fandango, a guy who debuted less than a fucking month ago, has a match.

Well, at least we'll be getting our money's worth. NorCal and I checked out the view from our seats on a website today, and it's pretty sick.

I can't believe it's only like, a week and a half away.

I actually like that they're giving Fandango a push. Might as well try.

I've heard that Curtis is a shitty worker though, and they're giving him a match at Mania when there are guys who are more talented? It's great that Curtis has this awesome character that's already getting him lots of heat, but that won't mean shit if he comes out and sucks out loud during his first match.

I think that's why they have him out there with Chris Jericho. Jericho knows how to make someone look like a star -- I'm sure Fandango will come off looking great.

I disagree, I think Jericho is one of the more overrated workers these days. His match with Ziggler last weak was pretty sloppy, and while Ziggler is obvious one of the sloppier workers on the card, you think Fandango is going to be any better?

Curtis is just fine. Throw an interesting gimmick on him and you shouldn't have any problems. Hence, Fandangoo. No complaints from me.

As for for Jericho, he's overrated, but most people who are worth a damn tend to be. I'll take his recent fine matches with Swagger and the triple threat from Raw last week as solace that he's still got the goods. But you're entitled to your own opinion.

I've just heard that he's a shitty worker, I have no opinion of him otherwise. Still, this raises concerns for me.

Don't get me wrong, I still like Jericho. I like him a lot, actually. He's just not a guy you can say, "Oh you don't have to worry, Jericho is going to make him look like a stud," about. He's not Cena or Undertaker or Triple H. He's not like Shawn Michaels where he'll deliberately try to show you up or make you look like crap, but he's not like Cena who can make you look like you can hang with the best of them.

I just enjoy that right after Jericho talks about how he works for the big leagues we find out he is wrestling fandango at WM.

Wait, what? Cena makes it look like anyone can hang with him :lmao:
