Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

There he is!

Hey, props on your team so far. Got me in goals & keeping up nicely with the assists. This is gonna be a close week. Vanek is a beast.

Once again the +\- column looks quite terrible for me....

When he is healthy he has been lights out. Hopefully Anderson gets a couple startsby the end of the week, I may pull off an upset.

It's Yahoo. They are pathetically slow in all their fantasy games when it comes to transactions.

I tired doing this league a Yahoo, a few yrs. back but I'm not really fond of their set up.

Yeah, but that hurricanrana was mostly on Punk too. He didn't exactly do much to help Cena there, it looked like he got caught by surprise.

They both looked pretty gassed by that time, I think it was a combination of that & Punk getting caught by surprise god knows I was getting exhausted just watching the match.

Does anyone else hate Wednesdays? For some reasons I just dread it. It is the day before pay day and I work the morning shift which is preceded by a Tuesday 3p-11p (occasionally 3p-10p). Plus I work with one of my least favorite coworkers. Though I don't really like any of my coworkers minus 2 or 3. I just love bitching don't I?

Not as much as I hate Tuesdays.

Tuesdays are pretty shit as well, definitely a close number two for me. If I worked Tuesday morning it would probably take the cake as the last thing I want is to go to bed soon after Raw. Actually the one days I enjoy at work are Sundays (my short day, I'm done at 1) and Thursdays (only cause it is payday).

Working all mornings is a plus as it gives me the whole day to do stuff (as I'm done at 3p) however I'm not one that likes to go to bed earlier. It is very rare that I'll get a proper night's rest. Regularly I get 4-5 hours of sleep a night if I'm lucky,

What do you do for a living?

What do you do for a living?

I'm a personal care worker. Pretty much I cook, clean, do laundry, administer medication, do every day needs to sum things up, for those that just aren't capable of doing it themselves. It can get pretty stressful as I deal with different realms of people and it can be a strain. Plus seeing them every single day (as I live on site...no I'm not crazy), you can't help but become attached to them.

Like for instance there are two or three that I will let hang around the apartment for wrestling or just to shoot the shit if I'm not too busy or have company. I try to make things for them as enjoyable and easy going as possible.

A friend of mine was going to do something like that for his internship - except his also involved driving the patients to and from the doctor, but he wasn't touching the medication. He turned it down because the pay turned out to be quite lousy.

We actually aren't allowed to drive the residents anywhere. Apparently it is against state regs for the workers to do that. I don't know, the state regs here are contradicting bullshit. It's whatever. Thankfully we have a doctor who visits our facility once a month.

As for the pay, I can't complain. 11 an hour (with 9 start rate). You get bumped to 11 once you complete the med and CPR training. But from what I've heard though pay for personal care workers isn't all that great. I found out that if I had this job say in the city I'd only get 8 something per hour. I can't complain too much considering I don't have a college degree to fall back on and I get free rent (only have to pay cable/electric) for being on site staff. The being home by 11p is a downfall when it comes to going out. However I have roommates to fall back on.

His internship was offering 9, and he turned it down because he could make 11 as a factory worker. I'm only doing project work at the moment. I make 13 an hour, but it's only a six month project. I'm thinking about transferring and finally finishing up my degree in the fall.

I got real lucky with my job, I was working as a computer repair tech at a local computer shop for a whopping $9 an hour plus commission on custom builds. They also brought in Alltel and I had the unfortunate responsibility of selling cell phones on top of doing repair work. I hated selling cell phones, such a waste of time and so little commission. And the regional manager that would visit every so often couldn't shut the fuck up long enough to let me think.

Anyway my mom told me about a job opening at the telephone company that has their HQ in my town. They were looking for an Internet/Data Technician. I had already applied for summer jobs there twice but never got in. So with nothing to lose I threw my application in, not expecting to get anything out of it. I suddenly was given an interview, mind you I have no degree, only the 1 year of experience at the computer repair shop, and apparently it went well. Apparently I built up quite a good reputation as a computer tech, plus I was a hometown guy, and made it clear I wasn't moving anywhere any time soon. The day after my 21st birthday I got the call while extremely hungover that I got the job. I started out at $16.40, and that was a huge monetary boost.

Fast forward 4 1/2 years later and I'm making $28.95 an hour right now, with two more raises left before I'm maxed out at around $31.35. Not too shabby for a shot in the dark try at getting the job with no degree or any real experience in the industry.

All you guys talking about jobs is making me nervous about graduating in two months. Excuse me while I enter the fetal position and cry for a few weeks.

Is that from his most recent tour? Because if so, I already saw that show :D.

Na, Live at the Beacon was the one he released on his website for 5 bucks. It was released in 2011 though, no idea why Netflix says 2012.

He just recorded his new special from his latest tour a week or so ago and it comes out on HBO in April.

Oh, well I downloaded that one then, so no need to watch it on Netflix.

That's the one Charlie and I saw in epic seats. It was awesome.

That's not bad at all. I'm studying to be an architect, but I'm professionally certified as a computer drafter. Drafters can make 16 an hour starting out, but that in the mechanical field. I work for a contractor that outsources for the construction field.

Just make sure you have all you're ducks in a row. I found out recently that I'm going to have to restart my degree, because the degree I'm currently 30 hours short on isn't from an accredited university program. Now I feel like crying.

I just went through a phase where I didn't have cable or internet. I just had the stuff I've downloaded and I must have watched it half a dozen times.

Ya. I haven't seen it since October so I don't remember much. It'll probably be mostly new to me.

Piledriver looked better executed than the Hurricanrana did. Talk about crooked.

Full disclosure - I actually thought the piledriver looked fantastic; maybe better than any move I've ever seen Punk do. Bunch of wet blankets complaining about it being a banned move.

Will it make you feel any better when I say that I have three university degrees and still no full time job?

But you get to collect all those royalties from your book! Maybe I should finally write one of the many screenplays I have floating around my old idea book.

I actually thought that piledriver looked pretty fucking awesome too. I don't know whether or not it was a fundamentally sound piledriver or anything, but it looked badass.

Your face when you realise it's just full of synopses to Woody Allen films!

"Maybe-- maybe I could just write Annie Hall again?"
