Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Where's Coco? I need to say something "out loud" that I've been meaning to for a while and I think he's likely to nod in agreement:

Daniel Bryan isn't the next Zack Ryder; Zack Ryder was the next Daniel Bryan; Daniel Bryan is both the first and third Daniel Bryan. I think that makes sense.
That made complete sense to me.

Clearly I have brain cells to spare. Time to start drinking again.

Today has been one of those "spend the entire day fighting a hangover" type of days.

Never fight a hangover. Just give in & start drinking again.

I hear that if you eat a flank steak & wear wet socks to bed, you will never have a hangover. I would trust the guy- he has a moustache & woodworking credentials. Just saying...

Next time you get rat arsed, drink water with rehydration salts before you go to bed. Means you won't be dehydrated when you get up and your hangover will be more tolerable.

I saw A Good Day To Die Hard today. I have now successfully watched 5 Die Hard movies in 6 days, this being the best park of my week as pretty much every other part has sucked.

I also went to the book store & where I learned Kevin Smith's book is in paperback now, so I picked that & Corey Taylor's book up. These are the first two books I think I've bought that are not comic's since I bought Mick Foleys first book & the Rocks book.

I also went TV shopping, but didn't buy a new one yet, I was more just checking what stores had on sale, & looking at the displays, then writing the ones I liked best down so I could look them up once I got home & read some user reviews. I think I know which one I'm getting & likely will be buying it either tomorrow or Monday morning.

While looking at all these TV's today I've come to the conclusion that I really can't tell the difference between 1080p or 720p (other than 720p is about $100 cheaper on average).

I did drink water before I went to bed, but I guess I didn't drink enough of it. I don't have rehydration salts though...

You also lose salts and such like when you get dehydrated, which is why ORS are a thing.

It's easy enough to make:

Mix Six teaspoons of Sugar, Half a level teaspoon of Salt, One Litre (2 pints, give or take) of water. That's it.

Let me know how Kevin's book is. I was going to get a copy but the bookstore only had hardback for $25.

Was the new Die Hard good?

TV shopping last year I noticed the same thing. Clear is clear, to me. I dont have to see the most microscopic details. If its crisp then I am fine with the cheaper option. What are you looking at- LED\LCD or Plasma?

I didn't even know it was in paperback, as I had only seen it hardcover & audio form as well.

I loved it, if you like Die Hard movies you like this movie, as it has all the things that make these makes fucking great, lots & lots of action, bullets, explosions, & bad guy killin' good fun, with plenty of witty smartass quips from the McClane Clan sprinkled on top.

This is the one I'm looking at getting

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Toshiba....p;tab=reviews?id=1218522105882&skuId=4740317

The TV I have now is 32 in. so I'm fine with that, especially given I don't have a ton of space or need for a screen much bigger, the price is really good at $220, most importantly 88% of the user reviews say it's a good TV & it looks like it does everything I would need to be able to do.

I also need to get a new car adapter for my ipod, it would be nice to listen to my own shit in my car instead of the crappy radio stations we got around here, might pick one of those up tomorrow as well since I'll be at Best Buy anyway.

I've heard 5 hr. Energy helps with hangovers, not sure how or if it's true as I don't drink so I don't have to worry about hangovers.

I would think stuff like Gatorade, Powerade, Vitamin Water, etc. would be the best cure, as it rehydrates you & replaces lost electrolytes & whatnot.

I wouldn't mess with 5 hour energy in any circumstance, especially when you're already taxing your body from all the alcohol. Gatorade seems to be helpful with hangovers thanks to the electrolytes.

Neither would I, though I tend to stay away from most energy drinks, they're too damn expensive, taste like radioactive piss. Occasionally if I got a long drive ahead of me, I'll get a can of the Orange or Lemonade flavored Monster Rehab, but that's mostly to keep me awake & focused, I have noticed when I drink those I have to stop to take a piss a lot more often though.

Believe it or not, I know how dehydration works. I also know how to tie my own shoes and make Easy Mac.

Yeah, well can you make your own shoes with Easy Mac? Huh?

I love the Die Hard movies, so I was hoping for another good one. I dont expect a gripping emotional story. Just bombs, bad guys and Bruce.

That TV looks like a pretty damn good choice for the price. Too bad you werent looking during Christmas because they had some good sales at various places. Plus Walmart was matching prices & giving a $25 gift card if you bought them there instead.

Actually the only time I get energy drinks is for long car rides too, though I go with cherry flavored Amp. I've heard so many horror stories about people in the TV and film industry falling asleep after working long hours that I've decided not to fuck with that.

Make my own shoes? What am I, a Vietnamese prepubescent girl?

I was more concerned with spending what disposable money I had at Christmas time on buying gifts for my family, & replacing my alternator. I was always planning on getting a TV with my tax return & using the rest of it to pay off some debt, though it looks like I'm going to be spending about $470 on some dental shit (that's with insurance btw).
