Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

The Jeff Jarret thing was the funniest thing Rock has said since his return. It isn't as funny as Michael Cole makes it seem, but I chuckled.

That was pretty funny,

Though the best thing lately for me has been Y2J being back & the on-going greatness that is Paul Heyman. I just cant help but enjoy the hell out of RAW when they are on.

I've had a couple days to mull this over, and I still haven't figured out if it is good or not.

My date Friday night said I look like an overweight white Richard Ayoade. She never mentioned if she found him attractive, just that she enjoyed his work on The Mighty Boosh and Garth Marenghi.

>didn't mention The IT Crowd

Did you two have a ludicrous display that night?

Behold, The Heisentaker

The Deadpool game that is due out later this year is slated for a M rating. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I'm leaning to the side of not liking it.

That game looks fucking atrocious. It should probably be noted that I've never been very much of a Deadpool guy though, I can handle him, but in small doses.

And here I thought having to proof read your own 90,000 word book was the worst thing in the world. However, it does not equate the soul-crushing monotony of compiling the index for said book. My god.

In other cheerier news, have I related the story of how my sister is having a medieval themed wedding, complete with fancy dress. I had thought about a Game of Thrones inspired outfit - Ned Stark, Jamie Lannister or a Man of the Night's Watch but to get one that looked anyway decent was going to cost a fortune. So instead I have gone for a more traditional knight - specifically a Knight Hospitaller, complete with black attire and white cross.

Could not be a predecessor of Abstergo.

Might get my clan sigil (a red stag) and family words (tutum te robore reddam) put on it somewhere too.

I watched the film Scanners in my Cinema Seminar class today, and I finally found out where this GIF comes from.

Better the Hospitallers than the Templars. I mean, they were both weird gangs, but the Templars were the stranger of a two.

Now I'll wait for you to explain to me why I'm wrong.

But congratulations on you sister's wedding and your excuse to live a medieval fantasy.

I don't really know anything about military orders to comment on their "weirdness" to any degree, although I do know that much of the bad press given to the Templars comes from Philip IV of France, who was in massive debt to them and used such propaganda to get them banned by the Pope.

I have just started reading about the Northern Crusades which are littered with monastic military orders that caused numerous bloodbaths around the Baltic Sea, such as the Teutonic and Livonian Knights. Should be interesting.

As for the wedding, not really much of a medievalist myself. Antiquity is more my scene.

Don't be, there are assholes like this in every state you go to. I'm sure that if my high school had any openly gay students then the small group of Christians would have tried to pull the exact same shit.

I hope that the students of this high school are progressive enough to support their LGBT classmates and enjoy their real prom, leaving the closed minded kids to sit alone in an empty hotel ballroom where nobody showed up.

The movie "Saved!" was basically about that whole thing.

Yeah... that's not what Saved is about at all.

I thought that was about the girl who got pregnant at a Christian school and became friends with the cripple played by one of the Kulkin family members.

This is closer to it, but she was already friends with the crippled kid (played by MacCualay Culkin himself). She did, however, become friends with the evil Jewish girl.

It includes other issues, such as the controversy surrounding homosexuals at prom. That was actually the first piece of media I thought of.

I see that now that I've began dating again you are no longer supporting the struggles I went through a few months back. I'm fine with that, except you now support violent hurricanes.

Eh, that wasn't really an issue until the very end of the movie when the gay kids showed up for prom unannounced. The movie was about accepting people despite their differences, not about preventing gay kids from going to prom.

That Thrift Shop song by Macklemore is stupid, but damn if it isnt catchy. Either im really high or it might be the funniest song in a while.

I'm not going to the HoF either. You, Theo, and I can do something awesome that night instead.

I had planned on going to the HOF, but after further thinking I decided to save the money as I've dropped a hefty penny on WM and the HOF is just an added bonus and not something I had originally planned on doing.

But definitely an awesome night should be in the books. Party at the hotel (someone call R. Kelly).
