Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

So today I tried potato salad for the first time. However it was an incredibly unhealthy version. Loaded baked potato salad. My goodness is it fucking delicious.

That sounds delicious. I'm worried that all other potato salad will be ruined for you now, though. My mom makes killer potato salad. It's the best.

Yeah I saw it sitting in a dish at WalMart and I just had to get it. But yes all potato salad is likely ruined.

My mom makes some pretty good stuff, potato salad however isn't her special. She just buys store brand. I may dabble in created a wicked good potato salad sometime. Maybe a chicken/potato salad combo. And if I'm ever in the Ohio area I'll stop by and pick up some of Mrs. Harthan's #BestintheWorld Potato Salad.

So JGlass you're the resident Mets fan around these parts, tell me, can I expect good things from this Mike Pelfrey fella? I'm aware he just got Tommy Johns surgery, but Dr. James Andrews preformed it so I assume he's going to be good to go come opening day.

He's really tall... so there's that.

At one time he was supposed to be a future ace, or at the very least a number two starter, but that never really panned out. He's okay, but that elbow has been a problem for a while if I remember correctly. Maybe the surgery corrected the problems, but the list of guys that made heroic returns after Tommy John surgery is a short one. If the Twins are going to use him as the 4th or 5th guy in their rotation, then that should be okay. If you're relying on him to get you a nice helping of wins this year, you can forget about that happening.

I think they plan on Diamond being their top pitcher, with Pelfrey being in that next group of 3 guys behind him. I wasn't paying very close attention to this portion of the presentation last night, so I can't say for certain, though I doubt anythings is really set in stone at this point seeing as pitchers & catchers don't report for another month or so. Regardless we only signed him to a one year deal, so if it doesn't work out it's not like we're stuck paying out some huge salary over the next couple years or anything.

Had one of those academic days where you send hours searching for one largely insignificant fact through numerous books and articles. Actually, it is not the fact itself that I have been trying to find - it is a reputable source that backs that fact that I require.

Total pain in the arse.

Any luck?

Pelfrey was a good move with a lot of the pieces the Twins rotation pretty volatile, but he might turn out to be unnecessary, especially if Hendriks lives up to the potential. Pelfrey's a fine four or five in most rotations, but the Twins aren't exactly lacking in guys to fill that role. I see him replacing Duensing when he's healthy if Hendriks is at least looking serviceable, or else sending Hendriks back to AAA.

I've been thinking more about the Twins lately, and I'm realizing how brilliant the Span and Revere trades were. Mastroianni and Parmelee are almost exact replacements for them, and the pitching is totally redone, especially once May and Meyer hit the bigs.

Just talked to my dude who does Tats, he wants to do a big pirate ship on my leg. I'm gonna let him draw it out and see what he all wants. I'm down with the ship idea, that was mine. But i'm gonna let him draw up how he wants it. 200 dollars for 3 hours, and then 50 bucks per hour after that. He's a great artist.

$200 for 3 hours is a pretty good deal, my place ends up being about $100/hour.

I've just come to the sad realization that if I was booking this year's Royal Rumble, I'd book it around getting Dolph Ziggler mega over.

I'm not sure if I'm a responsible booker or a crazy person.

Nothing as definitive as I would like. A lot of circumstantial evidence, which is little use to me.

Annoying.

That is unfortunate. What is the fact that you need to back up?

I wonder what the percentage of WrestleZone regulars with tattoos are. I'm the only one in NJX without any ink, and I'm not sure I'm ever going to get any either.

Why would you be concerned about getting him over? Because your company has invested so much time in him anyway?

A strong internet fanbase has been a good indicator in recent years of who has major star potential. If I was a booker, I couldn't dick him around forever and sleep well at night wondering what could be.

Zack Ryder begs to differ. Who besides Bryan and Punk has really benefited from the IWC's support?

Do you really want to know?

Always.

a) They were wrong to pull the plug on Ryder. I can't stand the guy, but it was silly booking.

b) Ryder would be unemployed right now if not for the IWC, so he's certainly benefited.

c) WWE's recruitment of new stars recently seems to be tied to IWC reputation, as evidenced by the signings of Hero, Claudio, Black, Generico, etc.

Internet fandom has benefited many wrestlers. Punk and Bryan gaining the most from it doesn't mean it doesn't have more to offer us.

My money's on Dolph being #30 and they try and put him over as the late favourite (maybe he wins an over-the-top challenge for the spot?) only for Cena (or Ryback if they decide on Ryback vs. Ziggles at Mania) to dump him.

You can read my views on the Zack Ryder debacle in the WWE Television section.

I'm watching Rock vs. Cena now. Still pulling for Cena to win, somehow.

I need an ancient source to tell me how Numidian infantry fought.

What, the people in Numidia didn't leave documents chronicling the fighting style of the Numidian armies?

I think you're attributing the effect to the wrong cause, similar to how people thought that rats spontaneously generated from piles of dirty clothing. When as the WWE ever been scraping the indys as deep as they are now? I don't think it's the IWC that has gotten these guys hired so much as it is a change in management, namely Triple H.

Plus, unlike Ziggler, Daniel Bryan, Punk, and Cesaro are great wrestlers. Once Ziggler is exposed as the weak wrestler he is, his IWC support will drop out and where will he be then? After all, look what happened to Ryder.

I have four? Two on my chest one across my shoulders. And one on my leg, this will be my first big multi hour one. They are saying about 4-5 hours.
