Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

No. That would be awful. Because it involves Brad Maddox.

There's unfortunately going to come a time in which he wins a match earns a contract though. Thing I don't understand is if he's not on contract why is he allowed to stalk the GM's and get his own WWE produced web show.

Last I checked Tajiri runs his own promotion.

I wonder about Maddox from time to time myself, I understand it is wrestling and I've suspended my disbelief for worse, but why doesn't Booker or Vickie just have him escorted out of the building?

I'm willing to bet WWE has explored the possibility of pushing Asian stars with this type of thinking, but they probably haven't found anyone that they thought would work. The WWE, believe it or not, has a pretty good track record of knowing whom to push and when. Maybe the time isn't right for an Asian superstar.

Im sure they have explored choices in the past. Just think the focus was on Mexico, then the tag division recently. There are a handful of great guys in Japan\Chikara who could work given a chance. The language barrier is an issue though, because promo work is key. So if the guy has the talent, look, gimmick, etc- he needs a manager to bridge the language issue. Problem is, the manager list is quite short these days.

There really isnt a need for a top star right now given how the main event picture is. Im not looking for a Japanese version of John Cena, but one or 2 midcard guys\team would be nice. Maybe if they ever decide to get the cruiserweight division back up, that would be the time. With RAW at 3hrs, they could easily devote a 10 minute match and add a new storyline or 2.

Cause he isn't seen as a threat or possible threat to the backstage environment. He is just kind of the guy who hangs around backstage that you just look at. Overthinking? Probably, but what the hell, I dig sexy ref.

I just hit the plot twist at the end of Act 1 in AC3. It makes very little sense right now, but I assume more will be revealed as time goes by. It was a nice "WHAT DA FUCK?!" moment, but it has overwhelming potential to be an empty twist.

Still...

How did Haytham get his hands on a hidden blade, a decidedly Assassin weapon? I'm guessing that he's a former Assassin that joined the ranks of the Templars, but what the fuck would he do that for? Also, how the hell did Ezio's bloodline get from Italy to England in the span of about 200 years?

He got hoes, in different area codes.

EDIT: Also, wasn't Altair's wife English? Maybe one of his (great, great... grand) kids went back there.

So good news, I got a job interview with Gamestop. Bad news I woke up with a huge cold, I think it was Justin's hatred and animosity for the store that caused it.

Consider it a belated Christmas gift

I wouldn't work at Gamestop again for any amount of money. It seems like an awesome job, but you leave everyday hating yourself.

With the possible exception of a part time job at my LCS, I can't ever imagine wanting to work for any store I shop at.

So, Pancake will leave work feeling like his mother?

BAZINGA!

I figured it was the game that made you grumpy, but I'm glad to hear it was the snow. AC2 is probably my favorite game in the series, and while the gameplay isn't as good as AC Brotherhood, it has the best story and most interesting mysteries in any of the games.

Yeah in retrospect starting a new game while in a pissy mood was probably not the best idea, I probably should have just jump on Black Ops 2 for some Team Deathmatch action, as shooting random strangers via video game is oddly calming.

Snow, on the other hand, sucks balls. It's supposed to snow here tomorrow, but thankfully it's only a couple of inches.

Probably the same shit that came through here, it wasn't that bad, it was the light fluffy shit. Problem was they did a shit job of keeping the streets clean so getting around was more of a pain in the ass than it should've been.

That's an interesting point, but I doubt he's a rib so much as the WWE trying to see if they can recreate Ryder's success. My bet is no, mostly because...

Ryder's success? the same success that last a whole month or two before everyone just got sick of him?

He's just all sorts of awful. He's probably the worst thing WWE has put on television in years. I'd rather watch Dennis Miller's segments on the Raw he guest hosted than anything involving Brad Maddox. Can't talk, can't wrestle, can't sell, can't be entertaining to save his life.

Maddox is so fucking awful, he almost makes Delberto & Ziggles seem interesting in comparison, almost.

I think the biggest problem with working at Gamestop would probably be having to sell people stuff they don't want. I've heard that you have to rack up a certain number of preorders or Game Informer subscriptions or something or you get shown the door.

No, the biggest problem working at Gamestop is the same problem that comes with working in any retail job, the fucking customers, & the fact you have to deal with them, all of them.

Fuck retail. I worked at Best Buy and got to open a store. That was fun until we opened and had to deal with people. Not so much people, but the damn maniac kids that destroy everything and then just leave with their parents.

Knock over an entire 8 foot section of DVD's? Sure! I dont mind cleaning up and putting them back in order while I have 6 other things to do. Plus during Christmas was the worst. I couldnt walk anywhere in that damn blue shirt without people flagging me down for something.

Sure we got some cool free stuff, but after that stopped- it wasnt worth it anymore. I did, however, get to destroy an entire display of CD's with a 2x4. That was fantastic.

Well this is just annoying, playing AC2, & I'm on the "mission" where you're suppose to help Enzio's mother with an errand, I'm suppose to pick up a box of paintings or some shit, it says to press the "O" button to do so, the some button used for the Gentle Push, so I keep pressing it in hopes that he picks up the damn box, instead he keeps doing the gentle push motion despite the screen showing that by pressing the button he'll "pick up object". I'm once again growing frustrated, I can't finish this part till he picks up this damn box & he won't pick up the damn fucking box. WHY WON'T HE JUST PICK UP THE FUCKIN' BOX?!?!

Just got back from Django Unchained. It was amazing. I'm still deciding whether it was better than Argo or not, and I am struggling to place it. I'm inclined to say that Django was better.

Ryder's success? the same success that last a whole month or two before everyone just got sick of him?

He's still fairly popular wherever he goes. Hell, I can't remember the last show I went to where people were calling for Ryder's name, and I've been to a show very recently!

Maddox is so fucking awful, he almost makes Delberto & Ziggles seem interesting in comparison, almost.

Interesting? No, nobody can make those two interesting. But he certainly makes Delberto look competent (which he mostly is, just boring as bird shit), but Ziggler still looks like shit.

Fair enough. I guess I've been out of retail too long to remember how terrible it is.

Going to see it tomorrow.

Was it Stormy? He's really the only Ryder fan I can really think of anymore.

Delberto is capable of having good matches, he's just a blackhole when it comes to developing a damn personality that would make him remotely interesting.

Literally right after I posted that I hit the button about 5 more times & he finally picked up the stupid fucking box, I've since completed Sequence 1, & have decided that's a good place to call it a night.

I'm gonna be snowed in Saturday. So much for going to see Django. I'll probably spend most of the day finishing up X-COM and then starting Far Cry 3.

Plans for today

  • See Django
  • Pick up Clay Matthews jersey
  • Eat
  • Nap
  • AC2
  • Maybe get a little BL. Ops 2 time in.
Got a big day ahead of me

Against Big Show? As a face? What?

Yeah, I just read the results. Big Show called the SD! lockerroom a bunch of losers, so Booker told him he was gonna face a random challenger for the WHC, Santino's name was drawn, but he pulled a hamstring while attempting to learn the Brough Kick. A new challenger was selected, Ricardo, Show KO'd Ricardo backstage, Delberto came to his announcers aid (for like the first time I ever I think) & Booker gave him the title shot. During the match Show attempted to walk out, but Sheamus & all the other "losers" from the locker room threw him back in the ring (which lead to a DQ win for Show). Delberto kicked him then Sheamus Brough kicked him, yadda yadda yadda.

I'm guessing (& hoping) this leads to a triple threat, & they stick Sheamus in there as well. Though I wouldn't mind if they made a Fatal 5 way for RR & added Santino & Ricardo to the match as well since both technically have title shots they didn't get to use due to injury.

For me my day will consist of Chrono Trigger and then wine and Korean food with the neighbors. Pretty exciting. Might squeeze in a few rounds of WWE13 or Guilty Gear with friends online in there.
