Kinda wish I had not gone to my local tonight. Even though I had a couple of drinks with my close friends to toast Christmas, the amount of blow ins and jagoffs present turned what is normally a quiet bar into a "wretched hive of scum and villainy."

I'd venture to guess that middle America doesn't get many Chinese immigrants, and I reckon that's why your Chinese food isn't so great. As a suburb of New York, I can assure you we have some kickass Chinese food here in NJ.

One year in honor of Festivus, we made a Holiday 2x4 wrapped in Christmas lights and barbed wire. Best Holiday Ever. Got super high, watched Santa's Slay, ate almost an entire Honeybaked Ham and played No Mercy & Super Smash Bros on the N64 till we passed out.

According yellowpages we got 22 Chinese resturants in town, & I know a fair chunk of them are run & operated by Chinese people. I've never liked Chinese food no matter where I'm at, it's always tasted like crap to me.

Indeed it is. Was for nostalgia, really. We got a 64, No Mercy, original SSB, Perfect Dark & Goldeneye for $35. Was a great deal.

Our original Game Cube got stolen, so we were determined to win back all our trophies on Melee. Took forever. Have you ever played Eternal Darkness? That game was a trip with some of the intentional 'glitches'..

Geeze, unlock ALL the trophies? I can't even get past a few of the trickier challenges, like the one where you face both Master Hands.

Here is a synopsis:

The game's setting is centered around a mansion in Rhode Island, the home of the protagonist Alexandra Roivas' grandfather and the mysterious book known as The Tome of Eternal Darkness that Alexandra finds there. It is presented in a third-person perspective in which the player must navigate a number of locations as 12 characters spanning different time periods. The game utilizes unique "sanity effects" to enhance the gameplay.

Its a horror survival, but has some good RPG elements to it; like leveling abilities, spell casting, inventory, etc.


When your Sanity bar changes (getting attacked\scared,etc.) crazy shit goes down. Walking through doors that lead you back into the same room, noises\static\footsteps, crazy camera angles, etc. Like you are tripping on acid in a horror movie basically.

The best parts are when the volume is turned down (even shows a fake volume display on your tv) and then it goes way up & you get attacked. Also there are times it comes up with an error code to eject the disk and static\flashes that go back to the main title screen.


First time I played it, I thought my system was screwed up till I figured out it was the game fucking with me on purpose. Great programming\design ideas by the developers.

So apparently our big family reunion is going to be in Ohio this year, I'll likely be skipping this one, like I have the past 8 or so. I really have no desire to drive roughly 13 hrs. to see distant relatives that I barely know.

That sounds like a trip man, I love how they made the game look like it's fucking up to mess with you even more, like the ghosts or whatever in the game have invaded your N64. I love clever gimmicks like that.

My mom's side of the family has reunions every year. I've only ever been to one. They're usually not all that exciting, and most of it is just hanging out with people I've never met but am somehow related to. Also, the fact that it's a family reunion makes your chances of meeting girls approximately 0%, unless you're okay with like, boning your 4th cousin or something... which I am not. unless she's SMOKIN' hot

These are pretty much the same thing. Only reason I might consider going to this one would be if it were near where Doc lives (which I don't think it is), then at least I could hang out with him. Other than that, I really have little to no desire to go to Ohio.
