Ok, so what if in the game you were playing as a smooth talking Italian guy who's family was killed by corrupt powerful people, so with the help of an uncle of his he becomes a kickass assassin to take revenge on those who wronged him? That sounds like an interesting fun game that has its own little story which could develop within itself since it doesn't have to do anything but tell its own story. That's what I'm talking about, all the breaking up of the pace and stuff could be done within the framework of that little game anyway - if the game was like that then all the outside the animus stuff, which says it's more important than the fun assassin plot, wouldn't have to exist and people like me who refuse to play the games anymore because the outside story felt like bullshit might actually enjoy the game. Think farcry, are you a fan of that? It's the same thing structurally from game to game with characters who are pretty much the same but the plots aren't connected at all because they don't have to be since they're really really good games anyway.

And the only logical reason they killed off Desmond was so they could continue to make games. However, i've always thought that if they wanted to continue it beyond desmond they could have easily made prequels starring subject 15(which means there is also a Subject 1 through 14 as well they could create) there was also Daniel Cross, the guy who was mentally unstable in the real world in 3. You could also delve into the Templar side of things as well.

That's what I'm saying, there's no need for it to have ever been tied together since the stories on their own make sense and are passable plot wise. Since dezzy kicked the bucket has there been another plot connecting device or have they scrapped it?

I dont disagree that the games could be stand alone titles. But alot of the conspiracy theories in the game link in and can be quite complicated, and yes they could get rid of the conspiracy theories but thats what takes the game to the next level(for me at least)

I loved it when they killed Desmond off. It was hilarious to me. As bland as protagonists get, Desmond was the ultimate. They scooped out his brain and went, "Fuck it, this'll do." That was great. The game studio parody they set up in place of the usual future segments was even kind of funny if still annoyingly intrusive. You can imagine my irritation when Desmond's cunty mates showed back up.

Telltale making a story based version of minecraft. Dont know what to make of that, one of the things that has stopped me playing minecraft is the lack of story. Will be interesting to see how this works. The graphics of minecraft will be an advantage for Telltale who make great story based games but with shit graphics when compared to the visually stunning games. Still probably won't play this though as it'll be limited to PC & maybe Xbox One, fat chance Microsoft will let this anywhere near a Playstation.
