I'm one of those who feels that a live crowd can make or break a match. It can take a bland match and make it pretty good.
A prime example would be at Wrestlemania 22 with Triple H vs. Cena in Chicago
Or the Rock vs. Hogan at Wrestlemania 18 in Toronto.
Both of those were below average matches that ended up looking great on TV/DVD.
My favorite venue to watch on TV has always been Chicago. The people always seem to cheer who they want no matter who is supposed to be the face or heel. If memory serves me correct they were one of the first cities to really give it to Cena.
They even made the Mickie James/Trish Stratus match actually feel like a championship match at Wrestlemania 22.
No Mercy this past year also was great as even though there were a lot of pro Triple H fans in the crowd a good portion of them were still cheering when the ultimate heel Randy Orton won the match.
There are some other cities that I enjoy watching on TV but Chicago has always been my favorite. What's yours?
