Does Every Raw Have To End With Cena?

You're right, miz took a backseat. That is if you call cutting promos with the rock, and john cena in the ring at the same time, and having the entire year built around your push leading up to you headlining the biggest even of the year. Then yeah, he took a backseat.

The problem with your boy sheamus? No one knew who he was. He was on ecw, then all of a sudden the guy is WWE Champ? He was given no opportunity to show what he could do or to build any sort of heat. So yeah, he took a backseat. Even then, he was feuding with orton, cena, and hhh.

Oh cm punk has a rematch? So when del rio was on his way to the ring, cm punk, who at this point was "half unconcious" from the nash attack, cm punk was also taking a pen out and signing a rematch clause? That's pretty damn impressive seeing as how no one in the audience or on tv saw it. If you did, please tell me so I can pause it next time I watch the match. Even if he does have a rematch, that doesn't mean he has to use it right away. Would you like to know the reason why some big, dumb, idiot who just so happens to be your boss's/guy you called a doofus in fron of millions of people attacked you? That might be more important to cm punk than the title at this point. Dude seriously, do you realize how much time and effort is going to be put into this nash/hhh/punk angle? You think hhh is goiing to take a backseat to john cena? LET IT PLAY OUT!!!

I seem to recall the first Punk/Cena feud of 2011 being higher up than Orton and I remember Cena finishing off Nexus being higher up than Miz.

As far as Sheamus goes, he took a backseat and no one knew who he was, then why was he champion at the time then?

You're taking what was an awesome showing on Monday night raw, and you're searching to find one little teeny tiny thing that you can twist into something that seems bigger than it really is so that way maybe, maybe you can make some noise on the forums you visit daily. Heck, maybe someone will give you rep points!!! And now you're backed into a corner, so you start flip flopping, and don't even acknowlege the awesome point I made about the guy whom you're trying to defend. And how long was sheamus on raw before he won the raw battle royal to become #1 contender? Like, a month? 2months? Not long enough for a new person to get over? Well it's simple, Cena closes the show because Cena is the face of the company. But Cena doesn't close every show, he closes a lot of shows but definitely not every show. But it made perfect sense that Cena closed the show on Monday, ADR was in the main event and Cena is starting a feud with ADR so what better than him stopping ADR when he's beating down Mysterio? But if you say that the match could've not ended the show (I'm not saying that the op is) it would be stupid, a main event should close the show because it's the main event.

No I was actually going about the fact about the people who said that it was about the WWE championship and that Punk happened to close the show when feuding over Cena even though the WWE Championship WASN'T involved.

Well when WWE get's people who can draw on par with Cena, I'm sure they'll close the show with them. But since Triple H is not wrestling, Batista, Undertaker and Shawn Michaels retired and Randy Orton is on Smackdown, with who is the show gonna be headlined? The Miz? Pardon me, but he's not exactly "on par" with Mr. Cena. Advertise your main event with either guy and see who nabs the viewers to sit through 'till the end of the show. Which is the idea of TV main events.

I NEVER said that Cena shouldn't close the show when I posted this I just didn't like it how he closed the show with Del Rio and then Punk/Nash was earlier on in the night. That's all.

Stop hating on Cena.Not every RAW ends with cena so thats where ur wrong like someone stated above a couple of weeks ago it ended with Vince & HHH.There setting up a match for Night Of champions which is Cena Vs Del Rio (Maybe Punk Aswell) so obviously that will be the ending of RAW.Punk will never be above Cena even tho his big at the moment but he wont get to cena's level,I expect the Punk/Nash/Johnny Ace/Vince/Stephanie fued to end RAW next week so there is nothing to be moaning about,he did a good promo anyway.

I think for a few weeks Punk was BIGGER than Cena. All I am saying is with Punk being at the center of the hottest angle of the summer, at the time when I made this thread I got the vibe that he didn't feel as important as Cena. I'm not hating on Cena and I was obviously exaggerating but what the hell is it to you if I hate on Cena or not?

Punk can't pull it off? Punk can't be in the RAW mainevent without Cena? Punk/Nash seriously has to be lower on the totem pole?

I'd imagine if Nash is wrestling at the point of Night Of Champions it would lead to a match with CM Punk. This would leave Cena/Del Rio as the Raw Main Event. I can't think of any other top face who is ready to face Del Rio at the moment.

Does Raw NEED to always end with Cena? No way! We could stand a night or two without him ending it. But since he's the face of the company we have no choice but to put up with him.

When was the last time I claimed he was shoved down our throats? I wasn't upset that Cena showed up at the end, just what happened at the end.

I don't know what the Attitude Era would be without Stone Cold and The Rock? But Cena himself mentioned weeks ago before he was "hired" again that Vince would find somebody to replace Cena. And I believe he would and it was no different back then. Like CM Punk said, the wheel keeps turning. WWF hype machine, WWE hype machine, aside from the name it's all the same.

Yep, I wo0ldn't say this ruined RAW by a long shot, but I think they could have used Cena earlier on in the program to give his two cents, maybe when HHH was out in the beginning of the program. The E just needed to make sure fans knew the focal point of the show is the now Cena vs ADR fued. But, to have him come out at the end, and be angry cuz of the way Del Rio cashed in? Come on now, we all know how MITB works. Both HHH and Punk clarified that during the program. I know hes the upstanding RAW citizen and all, but to start a fued over that seems boring. I just hope NOC it is a triple threat between Cena, punk and ADR.

i hate cena as much as the next guy but...SERIOUSLY? ARE WE REALLY DICUSSING THIS? REALLY? REALLY? cena is only the face of the company and enterting a fued with del rio over the title (which btw will be the WORST fued of the year im calling it now!) should punk be the face of the wwe (right now atleast) yes of course will things change? haha no they never do

I'm not too upset by this recent one, as Punk's feud with the establishment (lol) is gonna be huge. I am a little surprised at people saying they liked Cena's appearance and promo because his character may be becoming edgier. Cena does this like every 6 months. Somebody gets to him, he freaks out for a week or two and pummels they guy, then goes back to normal. It's part of that stale character.

The only thing thats really been bugging me is how he is fine with the title being taken from him. If your character is supposed to be that passionate, you should be ticked whenever you lose the belt and want to win it back. You shouldn't go "Punk earned the belt, and I'm fine with that."

I'm sure the Punk feud will develop into such an event that it will end the show occasionally, as well. There hasn't been more than one good main event feud going on at the same time in a while, so now I think we will see a move away from the ol' Cena ending
