Did WWE ruin the Shield vs Wyatt Brawl Spot

In the last 2 episodes of Raw after a Shield Members match with Mark Henry the Wyatt's come down to the ring had a staredown and walked away with fans going nuts until the walkaway. Last night WWE did the fight later in the night and it had all guys in the Chamber involved and I think this ruined the fight. If you watch it back when the Wyatt appear the crowd have a huge pop and then within 2 seconds of fighting Cena, Bryan, Cesaro and Sheamus are fighting the members and I think this ruined it. I think the Shield should have come through the crowd after the Wyatt's match and got in the ring and had the fight with only the 6 men in the ring and not having another 6 men in as well. This also could have lead to a Shield promo on SD where they could say that they don't back down, when they go out to fight they don't walk away like the Wyatt family.

Which would you have preferred the Brawl they did which included every member of the Elimination Chamber match or one with just the Shield and Wyatt members

Just da shield and wyatts brawl and keep everyone else out of it. I wish this match was happening n da chamber as well as their feud 2 last 4 awhile but i fear after this match both stables will move on 2 something else. A 3-4 month feud btwn them woulda been extremely entertaining and must watch tv imo

I would of prefered a brawl just between the two teams but wwe are probally just making sure neither one goes into ec looking stronger then the other so i dont think they ruined it.i do think the last segment was pretty dumb though with the shield getting involved in the last match for no reason other then allowing cena and co to run down and set up a huge scrap.

I can understand your point but I think it can be chalked up to WWE's effort to capitalize on a volatile situation and build up the PPV six days from that time.

Since having one side annihilate the other would lessen the significance of the coming PPV match, this event made the appearance of Cena & friends inevitable, if rather illogical. When you think about it, why did the EC participants bother to get involved in a fight between Shield and Wyatts? If the EC group wanted to start their war early, why did they have to wait for Roman, Bray and their pals to get into it?

The company did it to display the "anything can happen in WWE" stuff without anyone making a definitive mark to spoil the pay event. I don't think anything was ruined by it.

agreed i find it so stupid that the shield randomly attacks anyone they want they have made it their trademark to interfere randomly and attack the wrestlers in the ring Yet it is the wyatts doing it now and Shield havent even done it once to the Wyatts. WTF?? GOOD JOB WWE

I'm pretty sure that The Shield was attacking Sheamus as a favor to HHH who ordered them to do it as a favor to Orton. It was set up earlier in the night in the segment with HHH and Orton. Not everything in life has a Scooby Doo ending where everything is explained honestly and in great detail.

On topic: I don't think WWE spoiled anything. I would have preferred just the Wyatt's and Shield but I am going to have to find a way to watch it on Sunday if I want it bad enough. I understand why they did what they did and I found it logical and entertaining. The only thing that is illogical is who will the kids cheer for come Sunday.

This.

Anyone who bothered to watch the segment involving Randy and HHH, later Batista and Del Rio, would have realised that Randy somewhat indirectly requested HHH's help.

As Randy was on the cusp of being nailed by a Brogue Kick, the Shield who are by all means, still lackeys of the Authority were sent out. From then on, with the DQ finish, it was obvious everyone involved with either party(the Shield and the 2 who had the match) would come out for a go home brawl.

At the end of the day, having the Shield(who were booked perfectly last night,lMO) attack Sheamus to help Orton, reminded the WWE Audience that by all means, the Shield might be "faces" vs the Wyatt family, but they are still very much heel Superstars on the current roster and still working for the Authority.

I thought the ending was done nicely. During the Wyatt match I was wondering why the Shield didn't come out and interrupt or start a brawl, but by the end of RAW it made sense. It kind of left us with questions heading into Elimination Chamber.

I think they did exactly what they wanted to do and what they should have done. Anymore we get so much on free TV that should be saved for PPV and that's one reason why I'm glad they did the segment the way it was done. They put these two teams in the ring at the same time and we are all waiting for the big explosion but instead of them going at it on Raw they basically fought of those in the EC match. They keep teasing and we want even more to see that final show down, but you have to pay to see the goods. I'm looking forward to this match big time and I'm glad they haven't giving away anything for free as they do with so many other feuds and programs.

John Cena (and Sheamus too, to an extent) ruins everything. Just keep him out of such brawls and things look much better. Almost everytime a brawl takes place, (unless he is outnumbered 3:1 or more) he will be no-selling attacks by opponents, punching random guys (with that expression on his face), and throwing people over the top rope- overall making himself look like the strongest guy, and everyone else weaker than him. I did not watch RAW, but I'm sure this is what happened after the show went off the air.

As for this segment, yes, it should have been just the six participants of the Elimination Chamber title match brawling with each other, and The Shield vs Wyatts brawling at a different time- most auspiciously, when they came face-to-face earlier in the night. Watching The Shield members fighting with any random participant of the EC match, or any participant of that match hitting the Wyatts, is not as good an idea as them fighting against their respective scheduled opponents.
P.S. I hope they add the Elimination Chamber stipulation to the 6-men tag team match on Smackdown.

To answer the question yes I think they ruined the spot for this brawl. They should have had them brawl earlier in the show when they were already face to face. It would have been great, I was at the edge of my seat waiting for someone to throw the first punch. As for the end segment, there was absolutely no point of having the shield come out to attack sheamus, if they don't follow up on this then it had 0 point what so ever. Other than that last segment they have been booked fine i think.

As for your "p.s" comment, i couldn't agree with you more. I don't see why they shouldn't put these 6 in the chamber to "contain" this match. They don't even have to be in the pods, it can just be an all out 6 man brawl in the chamber. The chamber will already be hanging above the ring so why not.
(Probably because Vince's logic will be "if we put them in the chamber then they might take away from the main event match" which was his logic at MITB a few years back when CM Punk defended the WWE title BEFORE the MITB match where Cena won:disappointed:)

Guess what kids. There is reasons for everything. they get the teaser of shield vs wyatts without either one looking more dominant then the other and possibly keeps the wyatts somehow tied to john cena once the chamber is over. Chances are the shield splits at the chamber in order to set up roman for a main event push and rollins fueding with ambrose over the us title..... and moving the wyatts on to super cena and the bray vs john wm bout. so no not a blown spot in order to keep the 2 groups seperated until the chamber. and YES YES YES YES i agree this should happen in the chamber

What is NOT main event material is the Wyatt Family and Daniel Bryan. Between the Wyatt Family and Daniel Bryan being pushed down the viewers throats it is ruining professional wrestling. I have been watching WWE since I was five years old and I am now beginning to find it unbearable. I skip through on average about two and a half hours of Raw each week and only actually watch about a half hour of it. Triple H having more control over WWE is a VERY bad thing. He is ruining WWE. All he is doing creatively is pushing all of his buddies and the people he likes down our throats. The Wyatt Family is Triple H's main project and look at them. Pathetic. He is also very high on Daniel Bryan as well. Then of course his buddy Sheamus. Then he brings Batista back and shoves him down our throats. Then of course you have his buddies Ric Flair, Kevin Nash, HBK, the Outlaws. While plenty of huge talents in the locker room simply do not get pushed because they aren't Triple H's buddies.

First off the whole Daniel Bryan fad is ridiculous. The yes! chants are extremely annoying and ridiculous. It is just a far worse version of the what! chant that is for more annoying. Daniel Bryan is a midcard talent at best and that is where he belongs. Daniel Bryan is ruining the WWE. I doubt even one person will agree with this but everyone says Daniel Bryan works his ass off and deserves everything handed to him but he doesn't anymore than several other talents in the locker room that are better than him. The following guys all deserve to be in Daniel Bryan's position just as much, if not more than him; The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, Antonio Cesaro, Randy Orton, CM Punk, Kane etc. A lot of these guys were even booed at the Rumble because of Daniel Bryan which is completely ridiculous. The fact that a guy like Randy Orton (who works his ass off and is consistently great in the ring) is being overshadowed by Daniel Bryan and probably not going to get to main event Wrestlemania because of it is unacceptable. Randy Orton deserves to main event Wrestlemania and Daniel Bryan will probably cost him that opportunity.

As for the Wyatt Family, they are also being pushed down our throats and ruining the WWE. Bray Wyatt (Husky Harris) is an overrated piece of shit. He was bad enough as Husky Harris and is now even worse as Bray Wyatt. I cannot stand anything about him or the Wyatt Family. He is awful in the ring and his promos are awful. His promos are just unbearable. The whole gimmick is horrendous.

Honourable mentions for people that are ruining WWE are Sheamus, Batista, The Big Show, and Jerry Lawler.

Sheamus has always been a piece of shit from day 1 and the only reason he has the push he has is because he is Triple H's workout buddy. His promos are unbearable.

Batista has always been overrated and his return has been horrendous. He is another guy being pushed down our throats because of Triple H.

As for Big Show, he just needs to retire. Enough is enough. His character is awful. If he was a heel I could live with it. But I cannot stand him as a face. Especially when he comes out with that smile on his face waving to the crown. The guy is supposed to be a monstrous giant. He is also a horrible actor and horrible on the mic but you can just tell he thinks he is this great actor, which REALLY annoys me.

As for Jerry Lawler, he needs to retire as. His commentary is unbearable and horrendous. All he does is screw up and make stupid jokes and scream in a high pitched voice. Enough is enough. He has always been an overrated commentator but now it is just ridiculous. I cannot stand his commentary. The guy called Tamina Snuka, Tamina Snuker for fuck sakes. A comment he should have been fired over as he did it on live tv. It is insulting to the entire Snuka family. Lawler just needs to leave he is a washed up has been. There are plenty of more capable commentators that deserve to be on the Raw panel. Mainly Renee Young! But there is also William Regal, Byron Saxton, Josh Matthews, Alex Riley, Taylor (the NXT backstage announcer). Any of which would be better than Lawler.

I am curious to see if anyone agrees with me.

They didn't ruin it at all.

Ever heard the adage "Leave them coming back for more"?

WWE did exactly what they needed to do. They gave a tiny little taste to build anticipation and help sell the ppv. It's really pretty standard stuff.

They teased it for a couple of weeks and then led you to believe you were going to get to finally see them throw down then they took it away from you by having everyone else come out.

Now the only option of seeing the fight is on pay per view.

When The Shield attacked Sheamus I was thinking, "WTF is the point of this? What do they have to do with Sheamus? They're feuding the Wyatts, what relevance does Sheamus hold to them at this point?" It was a really lazy way to get everybody involved in the EC big matches out there to have a cliche brawl that WWE does every so often to seem like they went all out for an ending we've seen countless times. I would've had Christian come out and attack one of the two men seeing as he wants to show his aggressive side. It would've made more sense. Then as Christian, Sheamus, and Orton are fighting have Cesaro, Bryan, and Cena come out. Cena gets ambushed by The Wyatts (foreshadowing their WM match) which leads to The Shield coming out and having their brawl with the Wyatts.
