It's definitely Ryback. WZ just reported that WWE copyrighted the name and the twitter logo at the bottom of the screen was glitching tonight on Raw. Ryback is a futuristic character. Kane is out of the question because an unrelated promo was aired hyping Kane's return.

It is definitely, and I repeat, definitely, the return of Skip Sheffield as Ryback.

I'd be willing to bet millions on it.

The only problem I see with that is they state its a "familiar force" returning. Skip Sheffield is not relevant or familiar at all with the general WWE fan, let alone this new name "Ryback".

if it's:

Undertaker then they're bringing him back early to build up a legit feud in time for WrestleMania (unlike HHH and the "i just want to fight you to beat the streak" type of match). if this is Taker, this is unlike 2-21-11 because these sound very heel-ish in nature. the "dark" aspect of it makes sense for Taker

Jericho then he's probably coming back as a different gimmick all together. in his WWE DVD, he talked about how he had to change his gimmick depending on the times. he's too old for his Y2J gimmick to be of relevance (ala if the last resurrection of DX would act like 1997 DX) so this may be a new gimmick of a darker nature. i seriously doubt this personally. his "save_us.Y2J" thing was just mysterious and not "devilish" in nature which this is. i think a Jericho return would be best left not hyped unlike Taker (who leaves and comes back every so often so they try to squeeze whatever attention he has left)

Vince McMahon but it really doesn't make sense unless this is an "inside job" with Laurinitis somehow because Vince wasn't too upset when Laurinitis took Hunter's job. that also would be better left not hyped but who knows?

Rybek/Skip Sheffield.....well.....i mean not even Brodus Clay is being built up this mysterious. these promos make reference to a return and Skip Sheffield (even if fans remember him) wasn't relevant on the Nexus pecking order (Barrett, Otunga, Tarver, Gabriel would probably be over Sheffield).

this is just a rant from me though:

if it's Taker, what's the things that were taken that he's coming back for? this is what makes me think it may be Jericho (as it was mentioned by posters people stealing his moves and entrance poses). i don't know about that though as Del Rio used it on Punk but Epico/Primo also use a variation of that move. the only way they can make Taker to come back for something is either the World Heavyweight title (which would have Mark Henry carry the belt to WrestleMania) or something from his nature (like the fans took his "mean streak" from his since being a face or something of the sort). the reason it makes me think it's Taker also is this is the kind of talk Taker used for his Ministry debut promo (about the world ending, hell coming to earth, vengeance, in a way the fans backstabbing him since he wasn't a full pledged heel when he fought Austin @ Rock Bottom in 99 but was perceived as one since he aligned himself with Bearer and feuded with Austin. the same can be said about his WrestleMania match with HHH and how the fans were split on his streak ending and him feeling betrayed in a way).

Nope, sorry. Anyone who sees these videos and even thinks "Undertaker" after them being the complete opposite of everything he's ever done might as well have themselves checked for a mental disorder. It's definitely Jericho. Both videos fit now, plus all the other evidence...

No disrespect to Sheffield, but I'm pretty sure the WWE knows that we're guessing it's a big name coming back, and to have it be someone like Sheffield would be somewhat of a letdown. But that's just my opinion.

See here's the thing, I was totally betting on Jericho winning the Rumble this year but I was thinking it would've been a complete surprise return. This is cool and all but I think it would've been completely out of the blue (well, not for the Internet but for the casual fan) to see him come back without any warning.

That being said this HAS to be Jericho, EVERYTHING points to him, but it's WWE so it very well could be the biggest swerve in a long time.

The lines the kid speaks are very similar to a verse in a Fozzy song aswell. It doesnt make any sense for this to be Jericho and if it is, it is very poorly excuted. Far too dark for Jericho....unless he is coming back with a darker gimmick.

I'd be pissed as all hell if it was Ryback. It doesn't make sense to me because not many would remember him. And what's the point in hyping up a new guy without saying who he is? When Sin Cara debuted we all KNEW it was Sin Cara and it WORKED (for the most part). I mean I know the whole "Let's keep it a secret" thing worked with Kane's debut but that was a different story all together.

If they throw Ryback in without even saying it's Ryback, it'd be idiotic.
Then again though, if Kevin Nash can text Kevin Nash, ANYTHING is possible.

HHH's ego certainly is big enough to warrant a set of videos promoting his return, but there's no way in hell it's HHH.
Why on earth would they bother with videos when he's only been out a few weeks and will be BACK in a few weeks? It'd be moronic and a huge waste.

Here is what I think. After watching the second video last night, there are reasons I believe it IS...and IS NOT Jericho.

ITS NOT

~The first time Jericho came to the WWE (then WWF) in 1999 there were videos on the TitanTron that were a countdown. It was close to the new millennium and people were freaking out. The WWE were running these "Countdown to the Millennium" videos. The clock finally ticked down to ZERO and Chris Jericho made his debut, interrupting...non other than The Rock, the hottest star at the time. These videos appeared over a period of months.

~When Jericho came back in 2005, there were videos that interrupted everything that were codes, it also said save.us_. Eventually the codes would reveal it would say SAVE.US_Y2J, and Jericho made his return to the WWE, and interrupted one of the hottest stars at the time, Randy Orton. Jericho claimed he was saving us and went after Orton for the title.

~Jericho DOESN'T NEED a title, so what is he trying to reclaim?

~This is NOT the second coming of Jericho...this would be his third.

~The video says he is coming back to reclaim "what is his". I guess this COULD be Jericho, but like I said...what is he coming back to claim? I guess you could argue that he is coming back to claim RAW, since he first appeared and stated (and always has) that "RAW IS JERICHO".

~He COULD go after Punk for the "Best in the World" title...but is that really a good feud? Punk is going to remain face and Jericho would have to come back as a face. Face vs face feuds don"t really hold interest very long.

~He could go after Orton for punting him in the head. But that doesn't really have a basis.

~There are clues that lead to Jericho...but thats too obvious.


Here is what I think about all this. WWE is really playing up twitter too much with all of this. Jericho LOVES twitter and Punk and Jericho have had their differences on there. Its too obvious. Undertaker doesn't deal with twitter so there is more of a reason to push this on twitter. Of course Jericho is going to deny everything...it would ruin the purpose if he flat out says "yes the videos are for me, Im coming back".

These videos aren't in true form for Jericho. Both times it has been more prominent, same with Taker. These videos are dark, much like Taker's have been in the past.

The videos are good, but if WWE was smart they would through a swerve in there. We already have a Kane promo video, now we have an Undertaker one too? Taker and Kane are going to come back right around the same time? The videos last year everyone thought it was Sting and it turned out to be Taker. These videos, everyone is jumping up in arms again. "Its Taker" "Its Jericho" "Its Brock Lesnar" "Its Batista"!

I HOPE WWE throws a curveball with this. Having Taker and Kane come back around the same time is asinine. They should just create ONE package for the Brother of Destruction then.

I dont know who it is and I dont care. I just know Im going to sit back and watch and be excited for whoever it is. Sitting here and debating is fun and all, but getting your hopes up for who you WANT it to be is only going to be a letdown in the end when its not that person. I hope its none of them. I hope WWE brings back someone no one is expecting.

A lot of the clues are pointing to Jericho but I know Jericho has said if he comes back he wants to come back for a long run not a short run.
I listened to an interview with him and he said that Fozzy are recording their new album in the winter and plan on touring in summer. So I don't see Jericho coming back in january then leaving in the summer to tour with Fozzy as that means coming back for just a few months.

I agree with ktsKane. If Jericho comes back on 1.2.12 I will be very shocked. Still don't think it's Rybak or The Undertaker either though. The only way I could see it being The Undertaker is if he comes back to build a feud that everyone's going to be really excited to throw cash to.
