Cryptic "01/02/2012" Video - Chris Jericho Returns- KEEP IT IN HERE! - NO SPAMMING!

it's beyond predictable. They never give us something new, something we want.
It'll be Taker and he'll go 20-0. ok so? NEWSFLASH after he's 20-0 and Rock/Cena mania, has anyone wondered what the next day will be like? Take a short look into the future. There is none. The WWE will be unwatchable as Cena begins his quest to break Flair's record and the WWE has no stars on which to build other than him.
Reality Check IWC, it's coming sooner than u wanna think so enjoy Rock/Cena and Taker and his fabricated streak and hyped promos. enjoy.

Saw a comment on this channel by a guy who said 'Y2J is coming back, not to save us, but to destroy us.'

Now while this looks like a Taker vid, if this was a promo for the return of like an ultra evil, manipulative Jericho, would that not be sweet? And he likes countdowns. And there's always a countdown for New Years, and it will be the day after. I don't see Undertake coming back before the Rumble, honestly. Probably without warning, around Elimination Chamber

Did anyone else notice that masked Kane was trending on twitter? I think it was around the same time the link was posted on TV. Could it possibly be that masked Kane is who's coming back!? How awesome would that be!

it is Vince McMahon. why? Claiming what is his...and how appropriate that the new network could get launched on 1-2-12. Thus taking back what is his.

But...I can hope..it will be taker.

OMG! It's Sting!! :lmao:

To be honest, I did get a Jericho vibe, but that's just my fandom wanting it to me Y2J. He could be coming for his title "best in the world" and play off of that. It would be awesome and he'd stay heel which he has stated he wanted to do.

The other easy call would be to say it's Taker. The ball disappearing and the ghostly like movement in the scenes lead me to believe it's once again Taker. Problem is... he doesn't have anything that would be "rightfully his" so to speak.

Key words - "familiar face" I'm hoping it's Jericho.

i gotta throw this name out there

Shane O Mac

simply for the "claiming what is his" part. and it being a BEGINNING... not a rebirth of any sorts.

call me crazy, but its not dark enough for taker and not wordy enough to be Jericho.

IMO of course

I've been thinking about this topic a lot all night and this is what I came up with for now...

Maybe this is actually teasing a return of 2 people because of the "but" contained within the promo and it could actually be related to the Kane tease as well. Since in the promo it went "a power shall come back to punish the meek for their inequities BUT on the second day of 2012 a familiar force shall arrive to claim what is his. It will be the end of the world as you know it."

My thoughts were that maybe the first part, about the power coming back to punish for inequities ties into the Kane promo and will mark the return of an 'evil' masked Kane. Then the second part refers to the Undertaker making his return again to "claim Kane's soul once and for all" which could culminate in the two squaring off at Wrestlemania and possibly being the end of the careers for both men.

Just something I came up with while thinking about it, could make for an interesting set.

I'm with most - Taker or Jericho. Why? I simply can't think of anyone else.

Taker is the most obvious, given his return last year. However, don't count Jericho out. I could easily see him playing tricks like this, fooling the crowd, etc. A Punk/Jericho feud would be the best thing possible for Punk (given Cena and Rock are tied up). I don't care either way, but... that's bullshit. I care. I hope it's Jericho.

it doesn't say but, it says FOR on the second day. otherwise it being Kane and Undertaker duel promo would have made sense for sure

yeah you're totally right, I just rewatched it again, the first time I heard it real quick so I thought he said but instead of for so I guess it's a lot less likely that it's necessarily teasing a dual return but it still could be possible I guess

2. Y2J - there have been rumblings of him returning but his promo WOULDNT be dark

Why not? It'd be a perfect red herring to make it more creepy & mysterious, and it could easily be Jericho coming with a new attitude & purpose. Considering all the rumblings of him being in talks with WWE and his recent Twitter post, along with the vocabulary used in the video, he definitely seems like the most likely person.

3. STING - longshot i know but, he was a world champ, and dont forget he is very "churchy" so this could tie into him somehow
4. EDGE- another longshot I KNOW, BUT...BUT...there is a small chance, he was a world champ, and maybe he is in better health than we think he is, i give that a 5% chance
(brood is now trending LOL)
5. Goldberg - the longest of all longshots, but again, former world champ, at one time in WCW the belt was "his" so there could be entitlement, no pun intended.....

No, no and no.

It'll be Taker and he'll go 20-0. ok so? NEWSFLASH after he's 20-0 and Rock/Cena mania, has anyone wondered what the next day will be like? Take a short look into the future. There is none. Taker's probably not coming back until February, his body is pretty broken down and he's trying to get into the best shape he possibly can for his last WrestleMania. But the rest of your statements are pretty ignorant. WWE has plenty of stars to build other than Cena. CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes just to name 3.

it is Vince McMahon. why? Claiming what is his...and how appropriate that the new network could get launched on 1-2-12. Thus taking back what is his.

WWE Network isn't getting launched until the day of WrestleMania. Vince already made his on-screen return.

i gotta throw this name out there

Shane O Mac

Shane McMahon is currently the chairman and chief executive officer of YOU On Demand and works mostly overseas in China (though sometimes in Colorado). He's doing his own thing and wants nothing to do with the WWE.

definitely interesting.
first thought was undertaker but the "it begins" thing doesn't fit. what would undertaker be beginning? his road to wrestlemania? that would definitely make this video very lackluster
so my guess is either jericho or vince

i would happily accept the first one being vince, maybe the video is meant to symbolise the fact he thinks the company is being ran by "kids".

my three i WANT it to be one of are either Vince, Shane or Jericho. regardless of what they are doing at the moment.

I fear its a possible lazy undertaker write though, i pray i am proven wrong

I really think it's going to be Jericho...

This reminds me a lot of his "Save Us" promos... And the tone of the video would fit his style...

Undertaker could be possible too, Kane's video aired on RAW so I would take him out of the guessing game...

It's weird this happens right after Jericho said he would never wrestle in WWE again... Sounds like he was just trying to throw people off...

Given what happened last year with everyone hoping for Sting and getting Taker, they might do it again and get people thinking it could be Jericho just to have it be taker again...

Undertaker vs Kane at WM??? Not a big seller for me, but eh...

Would much rather have CM Punk vs Chris Jericho....

I know its kind of weird, but it had an old school "Flock" feel to me. Maybe, and just maybe it's the return of Raven, and the Hardcore Championship. It's verbiage is similar to the "quoth the raven" and as some one alluded to, it's too dark to be Jericho and too wordy to be Taker. I would like to see a new flock, maybe get Cody Rhodes, Justin Gabriel, and maybe even Drew, that push to the next level.

I am a HUGE Raven mark... But, that has to be the least likely guess I've heard...

He's 50 years old and battered... He still has a great mind for the business and would make a great manager, but WWE doesn't use managers...

I really don't think it's to dark to be Jericho... It really is similar to the Save us promos...

I have watched the video again, and I've come to the conclusion that it's probably The Undertaker. It's got a very eerie vibe to it, and you come notice specific things like the ball appearing at 0:11, then disappearing, and the swing jolting at 0:19. It seems very similar to a ghost video, or something of that nature.

And what is Undertaker coming to claim that is his you ask? It's the things you see in the video, the grass, the swings, the field. Basically, "his yard."

Seems a little to weird and eerie for it to be Chris Jericho.

My immediate thought was Undertaker because we've practically been conditioned to think any time a creepy promo comes on it has to be him. But there are a couple reasons why I think it can't be Undertaker and is indeed most likely Jericho.

1) The video said he's coming to "take back what is rightfully his"...What would the Undertaker have to come back to take? He only has the streak now and its not like he lost it or anything. Its already his. The other side of that is what everyone has already said, Jericho would be coming back to take back his "best in the world" moniker.

2) This seems painfully obvious and I'm surprised no one pointed this out yet. The 2nd day of 2012 is January 2nd. "Y2J." 2nd day, J for January. Too easy. That was part of the whole code thing last time, numbers and what not. I wouldn't be surprised if they went a similar route with his 2nd return.

3) We're all overlooking the simple fact that this was a subliminal, youtube only promo. It did not air on TV. If there was ever 1 superstar in the history of the WWE that would use a cryptic, online only ad for a return its Chris Jericho. Since he left he's always said if he does come back he would want to be difference once again. Putting cryptic messages that you have to go online to see the whole thing would be a new way to promote a superstar. That would be perfect for Jericho. Why would they hype the Undertaker's return through an online video? On youtube of all places, not even WWE.com. That doesn't fit the character.

Lastly and most importantly 5) Why on earth would the Undertaker come back the first week in January? Last time he didn't come back till the end of February and only wrestled at Mania. This would imply Undertaker would be wrestling at the Royal Rumble AND Elimination Chamber. I could see a return at Rumble as a surprise entrant then he disappears till right before Mania. His body barely made it through Mania last year. Undertaker doesn't need a 3 month buildup at this point in his career, 1 month would do it. 4-5 Raws, quick feud with someone, promote the streak. 3 months would be overkill. This doesn't necessarily prove its Jericho but it damn sure strengthens the idea that it's NOT Undertaker.

Oh by the way, it's not Kane. Just no. They wouldn't air 1 promo showing his face and mask then have a totally different one in a cryptic form. That makes no sense.

Yes, I understand the social media stuff and all, but who's Jericho going to come back as, a ghost? Seriously, the video doesn't seem like something a man like Chris Jericho would use to return.

It looks like a video right out of one of those ghost shows on television. Swings moving, ball appearing than disappearing, dead grass, dead trees. Who is associated with death? The Deadman, The Undertaker.

And what is he claiming to take back? His yard.

While I agree with everyone that it almost has to be Jericho or Taker, more so Jericho because of the internet only and how involved he has become with Twitter and it would be a huge character shift. But I want to offer an idea that just came to me and it may sound slightly crazy but if its done right it might work.

And if I'm way off about possible return date please someone tell me...

The possible random one I feel could be Skip Sheffield with a character change, he's been out a while and if memory serves me right was in line for a pretty good push before his injury. So he could be coming back to reclaim the spot that he had before he left.

and one last goofy idea before I finish....after reading and watching the post about Seven earlier....Goldust

Yea I mean the video was definitely eery so theres still a good chance it could be Taker. But there was no ghost in it. Just cuz its creepy doesnt mean it HAS to be Undertaker. Literally, the only reason I still give it about 15-20% of a chance it is Taker is just the fact that its creepy. Beyond that the logistics point to it being someone else. January is just way too early for The Undertaker what's he gonna do talk for 12 weeks? In fact, I'd go as far to say there is a better chance its someone OTHER THAN Jericho than the chance of it being Undertaker. Shouldn't that be what we all really want anyway? As much as we want guys like Y2J and Taker back we should wanna be surprised since everything is so damn predictable nowadays lol.

I was going to say "what about Raven?", but somebody beat me to it.

So, why not Zoidberg?

Honestly though, I think it is Jericho. The quote from the clip sounded really Bibely (its a word now). So I looked up on the Google and it is a variation of Isaiah 26:20 which is talking about the end of days (Y2J) and the Lord (Lord=Savior=Save Us).

That and I will be disappoint if it is Taker. He just needs to come back with a gong.

When they showed the link on RAW, was it just static blurring out Swagger's twitter account of was it numbers like Jericho's Save Us promo?

No, looked like very "Undertaker" static to me.

This is much different from when the Save Us.222 thing began. When I first saw that video I knew it was Jericho, there was no doubt in my mind. This video is very, very eerie and dark, and who's eerie and dark? The Undertaker.

Who the fuck is Jericho going to be, a ghost with a sheet on his head? Like I said before, this video looked like it was right out of one of those ghost shows on television. Swing moving by itself, ball appearing and disappearing, kid sitting in middle of nowhere, dead tree's, dead grass, eerie color and overall look of the production.

Sure, there's the "biblical references," but the rest of the video points to the Undertaker. Who knows, maybe it'll be both. Maybe Jericho will return to be interrupted by The Undertaker like what happened last year with HHH and Taker.

I'm sorry, I just can't see this video being just for Chris Jericho.

My first guess was immediately the Undertaker, with the notion that WWE wants us to believe in the possibility of Y2J.

That being said, the airing of Kane's promo on Raw later in the night had me thinking about a few things. The Kane depicted in the Raw promo seemed very torn and even shows his mask burning to the ground as if he's wrestling his own demons. Could this youtube promo be for Kane as well? The youtube promo said it's beginning again, right? That could be marketing Kane and the mask and the Raw promo showed the mask burning.

Could we see WWE simultaneously showing two videos for Kane who may come back with some sort of dual personality where he puts the mask on to dominate his way to victories and a Championship but then the human side of Kane feels remorse and wants to get rid of the mask (the mask gives Kane a comfortable way to "hide" himself from his own actions).

It also goes right in line with Kane's last promo before leaving that said he was feeling more and more human and he wanted to exorcise his own humanity and become the devil's favorite demon again.

Just a thought... what does everyone think?

I saw no relation at all. First, why would they have a subliminal video on Youtube with a obvious Kane return video on RAW? Kind of ruins the surprise doesn't it?
