CM Punk walks out

The Butcher

CM Punk, who did not appear at last night's RAW, also did not appear at tonight's SmackDown taping in Toledo, Ohio, despite being advertised for the event. WWE has since removed Punk from almost all their upcoming events on the events section of their website, although he remains on the Elimination Chamber page. It is not known at this time if Punk is injured, or if something else is going on. The last tweet that he posted on Monday night stated, "Thanks for all the support. Keep being you guys, it's pretty cool."
Punk's contract is up in July, and he stated in an interview last week that he doesn't know if he will re-sign after it expires, and that "everything is up in the air."

UPDATE:
F4WOnline.com reports that Punk apparently told Vince McMahon at last night's RAW that he was going home and left the show. No further details were available other then that he's been removed from all shows going forward.

Fed up? Burnt out? Part of the storyline? It's all up in the air right now.

holy shit.

Hmmmm. It IS Punk though, so pretty big chance its a work. Especially given the hinting during the interview, and on twitter. Its also odd that they didnt figure him into EC.

The tweet he made before the tweet the article references is perhaps just as telling:

CM Punk said:
The view never changes.

Damn... was seriously like maybe 20 minutes from shutting down for the night when I caught wind of this. Now I'm wide awake.

This may explain part of the seemingly chaotic booking situation in regard to the RTWM. From Rumble to Raw to SD things seemed to be flipped upside down a bit & maybe there is more going on backstage than we are getting.

If he is gone that sucks. Maybe a break will do him some good. Question is do they try to get him back or let him come back on his own?

I don't really want to see Punk go because he was a big reason as to why I started keeping up with wrestling again in the first place.

Maybe he is just f'n tired of things.

Looking more & more like he just said "Fuck You I'm Out" and went on home. He did all he really wanted to do minus headlining WM & he seems to have done fine financially. So hey, cant blame him at this point. The man did some great shit while here, more than most will ever get to & one big ass title run that no-one will likely touch again. He can always come back when he feels ready.

I'm going to make me a shirt:

CM Punk- "Fuck The Authority!" on the front "Who Needs The Machine?" on the back

Wow I finally get those Austin comparisons!

Allegedly this occured because WWE are considering Bryan/HHH at Mania instead of Punk/HHH.

Maybe he was told it was going to be him and Kane at Mania instead of HHH.

If this isn't part of the Authority storyline, then I'd be willing to bet his anger has everything to do with his Wrestlemania spot. He's made it clear the past couple of years that WM means the World to him and that he wants to headline it just once. If he was told Monday that he's getting put in some undercard feud and match with Kane or the Outlaws for 'Mania, while Batista of all people is getting the ME spot, I can easily see him flipping his shit over that and telling WWE to fuck off.

I have my doubts that he's stupid enough to walk out just a few months before he'll get the biggest payday of his career.

But this is a good thing for the card if true. Triple H vs. Bryan makes more sense and is a lot more appealing to me.

Facing Triple H at Wrestlemania is a decent match for Punk. Vs Kane is awful - he is better than that.

That's my thinking as well, Kane of all people eliminating him at RR felt like a wrong decision to be honest. Shame really as I see no chance of him main eventing anytime soon, he probably knows it too and that's what set him off.

I remember people saying that he was taking an awfully long rest during the Rumble.

Is it possible that he has an undisclosed injury and they're just working the Authority angle until he works out the injury?

Or maybe he was half-assing the Rumble so he could get his pay day and go home?
