it was a great debut, and i got really into the match, i thought it was gonna be a squash match, but i guess i was wrong

quite impressive. he has a unique style about him. if you were to compare it to anyone it would be a combination of rvd and shelton benjamin.

if i was to compare the style of punk id prob say its most like either samo joe low-ki or aj styles

I've seen a few of his ROH matches and thought they were awesome but his ECW debut match wasn't very impressive at all to me.

He didn't really get to use his full move set. I knew what Punk could do. I was very impressed with Credible.

Yeah I didnt see the pepsi plunge and other moves...
you are not going to see the pepsi plunge, i think thats one of the many moves Vince is going to water down. look, tajir, hakushi, ultimo dragon and others are crazy in Mexico and Japan but Vince is not to crazy about them getting hurt. Sombody should tell Vince that's one of the few things that worked in WCW, the crusierweights.

If Vince wants ECW to be better than it is now he needs to give more freedom in the ring. The Pepsi plunge is one of the greatest moves in wrestling. It looks so fucking awesome...

I don't think that its so much Vince McMahon that doesn't want C.M. Punk to use the Pepsi Plunge. Really, if anyone should be worried about the fans seeing the Pepsi Plunge, it should be Triple H.

Hopefully Punk uses the double underhook backbreaker in the future.

I'm just hoping he throws the pepsi twist in, that is a sweet move... anyone know if he used it in ovw? i was actually quite surprised to see the selection of moves used, he definately made the most of wwes set move list

I think after this debut, WWE cannot deny the talent of C.M. Punk. How many independant talents have came into WWE to that kind of a reaction?

People weren't chanting his name just because of a few vignettes.

As I've said time and time again. C.M. Punk will be a future world heavyweight champion in WWE (though he's already a former world heavyweight champion after holding the ROH world heavyweight championship).
Wasn't CM Punk, the OVW Champion?

His debut was awesome, WWE have really promoted him as a genuine star and the respond from the Hammerstein Ballroom (which was the perfect place to debut him) was great. I'm looking forward to seeing him on tonight's show.

Yes, he was OVW champ, but the point is CM Punk has so much talent and better get a good push in WWE for he deserves it.

The OVW title isn't a "world" title, the Ring Of Honor title is however a world title and C.M. Punk has held it (he defeated Austin Aries for it and lost it to James Gibson {Jamie Noble}).

But yes, C.M. Punk is the current OVW heavyweight champion.

Also, it should be said that apparently Vince McMahon was extremely (no pun intended) happy with C.M. Punk's debut (including the massive C.M. Punk chant) and we can probably expect a strong push for him in the future. Sorry about Stephanie McMahon's luck.
