we still dotn know all the details, and the authorities may be wrong. just hold out on judgement for now.

I wouldn't respect his personal choices however i'd respect his in ring talent.

There are different levels of respect and on different grounds

You also have to wonder was Benoit depressed? or did he have a hidden mental condition that no one knew about?

Yah I guess I'm going to try to go to bed too. There is no real way to tell exactly what happened or when it happened. If it was poison Hell for all we know it could have been a really nasty beverage. Nobody knows at this point. Everyone needs to stop pointing fingers and wait till later on today... All we can really do now, and all we're going to be able to do period is pray for Benoit's other kids and family. We all know Vince did the right thing on RAW. Now we need to do the right thing. I never had the chance to meet Chris, but from what I've heard from people is that he was probably the most caring guy in that locker room. Even Edge was crying I mean, I feel horrible for him and JBL both, as they were close to both Eddie and Chris....

If this was indeed a double-murder-suicide (WWE took it (the confirmation that it was indeed that) down from there site moments ago), then I am willing to bet that Benoit's wife had been stressed or depressed, etc. and killed her son. She called Chris, Chris fled home and ended up killing his wife and himself.

I don't want to speculate though.

Eek.

Hey off topic is teh deal. No one wants to talk about wrestling matches right now. People want to know what happened. Were inovators we wanna put things into perspective. Why he did it, was she cheating. Did the boy start callin him Chris instead of Dad. Who knows, once this blows over and everything is laid out for us to peace together then the ones who want to, will then talk about matches, etc.

Is there any possibility that someone broke into Benoit's house, killed his wife and son over the weekend, then Benoit comes into the house today and kills himself?

I'm just wondering if there is still any way that Benoit did not kill his wife nor son.

No it's pretty much confirmed that no outside person committed the murders. Benoit himself told WWE officials over the weekend that he couldn't make the PPV due to personal reasons. He may have been the one to mention his wife and son were coughing up blood as well. I can't remember.

I have tons of respect and admiration for Chris Benoit, I have cried many a tear tonight at the news and RAW. All the conflicting news reports confuse me and as such until I have real confirmation, real facts laid down my memory of Chris Benoit will remain untarnished.

Should the worst happen. Then I guess I'll have to see how that effects my memory of him.

i dont know what to think about this...

from a non-guilty benoit point of view, i was thinking maybe someone personally had it out for him or even possibly his wife. maybe some creep guy tried meeting her or pursuing her in some way and she turned him down. then he somehow killed nancy and daniel by strangulation, then its possible he could have called chris on his phone or something acting as a law enforcement saying something happened to his wife and kid and then he waited there until chris got home, killed him and set the scene up to make it look like a double murder-suicide.

but from a guilty benoit point of view, something could have been mentally wrong with the guy. everyone said tonight on raw he stuck to himself and was very quiet all the time. maybe he killed them both then hung himself or did the whole suffocation in the car in the garage theory.

I think it'll be hard for people to justify celebrating the life of a supposed murderer....but since no one knows all the facts yet....everyone should focus on the positive effects Benoit had on wrestling fans

doesnt anyone see that eerie silence about him? his extreme lack of any emotion? all murderers have the same eerie silence about them..

im not saying he did it.. but look into the man.. he just doesn't seem stable.

It makes me sad that most of you are condemning Chris Benoit without TRUE facts. When the facts do come out and it turns out that he did do it, then by all means say what you want about him. But until they do, think about what you say just in case it wasn't him. That's all I got to say about that.

yea, this is crazy...it looks like benoit may have had some physcological problems, i'm not sure what could have driven him to do such a thing, if its indeed true.

but as a wrestler i totally agree with respecting him and i really dont think my opinion will change on him as a wrestler.

tonights raw was insane, this is what they should have done for owen and eddie guerrero instead of putting on a wrestling show, b/c none of the wrestlers i feel wanna wrestle when there mind isnt in it.

PS. i think a tribute match would be good gesture....chris jericho vs lance storm with bret hart as the referee

Sitting here with my fingers crossed, praying Benoit didnt do such a horrible thing because i respected him so much as a wrestler

should we make a thread called convict Benoit????? Cause that's all this is turning into...

Its what is being put out right now. You can't convict someone that is dead. Its either he did or didn't and the facts right now say that he did. But we will know more tomorrow and as time goes on. The WWE now says its a murder suicide.

doesnt anyone see that eerie silence about him? his extreme lack of any emotion? all murderers have the same eerie silence about them..

You realize that's just the character you see on TV right? He was one of the most respected and beloved people backstage.

I do see the point you're trying to make. Right now I'm watching RAW and his family friends are saying how quiet he was as a child. Regardless everyone loved and respected him, you can just say he's a murderer because his character was quiet, it's a little disgusting to tell you the truth.

"doesnt anyone see that eerie silence about him? his extreme lack of any emotion? all murderers have the same eerie silence about them.."

Wow, did you watch any of the interviews tonight? Did you not hear Chavo and Edge say that he was one of the few guys they trusted and that they even confessed a brotherly love for? Thats a terrible comment to make

I'm not going to let any speculation right now to change the way I feel about Chris Benoit. Eariler tonight I watched WM20, and at the end when Eddie and Chris hugged and cried in the ring, I broke down.

Now even if it were true that he killed his family and then killed himself, it will not change the fact that he was respected and loved by the wrestlers and fans. Everybody has problems, and we shouldn't let the end result change what he has given us in wrestling.

the one thing that bugs me is (Detective Bo Turner told television station WAGA that the case was being treated as a murder-suicide)

(Lead investigator Lt. Tommy Pope, of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, told The Associated Press the deaths were being investigated as homicide)

taken from the same article on CNN.com...i for one having been obsessed with several other "murders &/or suicides" that we're determined this early, many were EXTREME (no Pun intended) rushes to judgement & i believe that you cant make judgements this early & that the evidence isnt always as obvious as it seems!!
