The Circle...Is this really shit, or am I missing something?

I'm just sittin' here, wastin' time. drinkin'.......damnit that fuckin' song is stuck in my head now.

Anyway, I'm watchin' Devils Rejects, for the first time forever, and HOLY SHIT, there's DDP! WTF?

also, any good recommendations for me? I ran out of Silent Films.

Ever seen Pi? If you're looking for intelligent, there you go. Absolute classic film. Darren Aronofsky is a genius.

I'm honestly down for anything, that doesn't deal extensively in drugs. Usually, the smarter the material, the better.

The Truman Show. X and I actually talked about the brilliance of this movie the other night.

Leatherheads is also pretty funny. Especially if you like classic comedy...

I'm wondering, what are your thoughts on Kevin Smith movies? (directed to everyone)

Clerks 1/2
Mallrats
Chasing Amy
Dogma
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Jersey Girl
Zack and Miri make a Porno
I'm sure there are others, but drawing a blank...

Personally, I love the guy. His movies are hilarious and his group of actors are also great. I loved his documentaries where he goes to schools and does Q&A with the students. The man has some great stories. Anyway, I loved Dogma. It had a ton of different elements that made it all around great. Jay and Silent Bob was very funny also. Clerks 2 was also good and Kevin Smith stated that he loved the movie.

I like the ones that I've seen. Clerks, Clerks II, Zack & Miri, Dogma...

I like them more for the entertainment value than the actual production value...

Or watch Repo Man. Because it's in my sig. Which mean's it's obviously awesome.

Yeah, X, I've seen Pi, a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. I fuckin' loved it.

NSL- I've yet to see Leatherheads, because it stars everyones favorite actor from Cincinnati, George Clooney. And, it seems like he's ripping off a Harold Loyd classic, The Freshman.

Repo Man, huh? Don't think I've seen it. Who stars?

Jesus no one recognizes who that is in my sig? Really? He's a rather famous movie star.

IMDB that shit. It's a thrill ride and a half. Love that movie.

Yeah, I thought that was Emilio, or as I call him "Charlie Sheens brother". I didn't recognize any of the othters listed though.

Repo Man it is!! I'll check it out, prolly Saturday or Sunday. Thanks, X!

Epic ending to Devils Rejects. And, as a Hamilton native, I love the fact that Freebird is playing. It's like our drunken city anthem.

Bingo NSL. One of his first films. Worth watching just to see him and Harry Dean Stanton snorting speed.

Yea, the opening scene and the Hugo thing were cool, and all, but nothing like...too above average. Im not sure what you guys are creaming over them so much for. The bar scene was excruciatingly long, and so was the one before it. The whole soldier meets her, courts her, then they are all in the resturaaaant and now they asking questionssss and nooow we are watching them eat struudeeelll. blah blaaah blah. both scenes couldve been cut down by at least 20 minutes. Honestly, that entire middle portion slaughtered that movie for me.

everything took WAAAAY too long to happen in the final scene as well. Yes, they are watching the movie. Yes, they enjoy it. Yes, hitler likes it. We get it. No need to show that 836 times I perfectly understand. How about we get with the flamin and the shootin, already please. Oh wait, this movie is about that girl and everyone else BESIDES the Basterds, and Brad Pitt, apparently.

I felt like a victim of false advertisement when leaving. That movie sucked.

I can't agree with it. Oldboy is a GREAT movie, but The Lookout is better in my book. Besides, TM doesn't seem like the type of person who likes foreign film anyway, lol.

You got some 'xplaining to do in the Movies section, mon frere. Do a review of The Lookout, and convince me why I should take another look at it, por favor.

Too bad you don't watch foreign films, man. I could recommend a shit load to you that are chock full of action.

A movie doesnt need to be chock full of action for me to like it. But when thats what its advertised to be, thats what the fuck it needs to be.

Just the way it was filmed in a number of parts was just WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY too fucking drawn out. Like I totally understand wanting to build things to a fever pitch, then a creschendo, but HOLY SHIT there is a line that shouldnt be crossed with that, and he basically shot some of those scenes out of a cannon over that line. Things took SO fucking long to happen it got annoyinh in distracting, to were one wasnt sitting there thinking "oh my goodness, I cant wait" they were sitting there wanting to scream at the screen "JUST FUCKING DO IT ALREADY"
