Bullshit about Movies

I don't know about Battle Royale 1 much less 2 but I also found Avatar to be very enjoyable. I have a question, what language were the Na'Vi subtitles in? The one I seen was in a foreign language.

You really got to see it in theaters with the full 3D in force. It's simply one of the most fun movie to look at I've ever seen, the design and effects put into that film was marvelous. 3D is the way to go man.

See that's the problem. I don't have a theater that plays 3D movies anywhere around me. So I figured that I would watch it online and saw the 15 bucks.

So Jake's interpretation of Avatar, which was, "It's like Last Of The Mohicans, but blue and nowhere near as intresting." is not correct?

I haven't seen The Last Of The Mohicans, but this movie is practically an 1 hour 10 minute story but almost a romantic sci-fi...then BOOM! It's a 1 hour 10 minute total action movie bent on one species defending their homeland and the other species trying to eliminate the other species.

Dude...it's fucking Jake. Never listen to anything he says about film, he hates fucking EVERYTHING. Everything except for Seagal movies.

Way more entertaining and interesting than Last of the Mohicans. Totally worth your time JMT, especially since your a big lover of T2 and Cameron. Hands down the most fun you'll have at the movies this year. Maybe not the best film of the year, but possibly the most entertaining. That film is just pure Hollywood escapist fun at it's absolute best, it really sucks you into the world of the Na'avi like very few films I've seen before. By the time it was over I wanted to see more and more and it was already 3 hours long.

Definitely worth your time dude. Some of the dialogue and acting can be off, but man it is a great movie. And the 3D makes it even better.

I'm not a fan of 3D, so I don't plan on seeing the flick at the movie theater, but I will check it out once it's on DVD.

BTW, X... what do you think of the movie Caligula, starring Malcolm McDowell?

Also, I haven't seen Once Upon a Time in America, but I will now after reading what you had to say about it. Hopefully it lives up to expectations. :D

I also plan on picking up World's Greatest Dad and The Marine 2 on DVD sometime next week. Before anyone says something, The Marine 2 looks like great, cheesy B-Rated action, and I've made it no secrete here that I'm a HUGE fan of B-Rated action films. Also, World's Greatest Dad should be awesome. Cannot wait to see that. Wish I had known it was on DVD sooner.

I'm usually not a fan of 3D either but oh man this movie just has to be seen to be believed. None of those fake throwing-stuff-at-you 3D tricks, it's like you're fuckin' IN the movie.

A masterpiece of pure trash and drivel. How can you not love that film? It has just enough sex and murder and deviancy to entertain anyone.

Aww shit I hope I haven't overhyped another film for you. But yeah, check it out if you've got the time, but only check out the uncut version that's about 4 hours long, the 2 hour cut is a joke. Amazing film.

I really want to see World's Greatest Dad, I love Robin Williams, especially when he's doing anything dramatic.

So I finally got around to watching Irreversible like you recommended X and all I have to say is goddamn.......

Yeah, that's about the only thing you can say. One of the greatest films I've ever seen, as well as probably the most disturbing.

So what I'm getting here is X knows his shit about movies.

Yes sir. TDigs, myself, and JMT are the film buffs here. Well, Murf as well, but we all like to think of him as our movie smark in training.

Anyone ever seen the film Guy X? Stars Jason Biggs? It's on right now and it seems slightly interesting.

I am planning on watching Ichi The Killer later as I really want to see this gore you all are talking about.

Yeah it was incredible disturbing especially when during the rape scene you can see some guy come around the corner, see what is happening and leave. Also, is it only in French or is there an English dubbed version?

I don't have a problem with it generally but the scene was just very intense. It was about 7 or 8 minutes long.

Do you know French? I couldn't stand to watch a foreign film without subtitles...it'd drive me crazy. But, yes, it should have had subtitles. Gaspar Noe's the man. His first feature-length film, I Stand Alone, was just as brutal and his newest film, Enter The Void, is a trippy mind-fuck and a half.

I cannot watch a dubbed film, it's painful. The only time I can bear it is when it's a martial arts flick from the 70s because then it just adds to the fun. Subtitles all the way, you have to hear the real actor's voices and all of the emotion in their voices. Dubs totally lose that.

As for Ichi the Killer, awesome movie that I could liken to someone spiking your punch with acid and then trying to wrestle a bear. It's fucking insane, sometimes you don't know what's happening and blood is flying fucking everywhere, but once you start you have to finish it.

No, I do not know any French which sucks when you watch a movie like this but I could also read pretty much exactly what they were saying with the way the carried themselves in the scenes and the tones of their voices.

I would be very interested to see some of those other movies you listed because the camera work was very interesting to me. Kind of gave me a headache at times but it was interesting regardless. Glad I watched it regardless of the language barrier.

Okay. I'm halfway through with Ichi The Killer and so far I haven't seen that has wowed me. I will finish tomorrow and let you know how I liked it X.
