COVER STORY-Rebirth of the Four Horseman
24 years ago, something took place that would go on to influence pro wrestling for years to to come, the Four Horseman were born! There have been many bass groups over the years in U.S. wrestling history & only a hand few of those were truly dominant. Even fewer were truly hated! We've seen evil groups/gangs come and go since the glory days of the Horseman, & real easy to separate the wannabes from the genuine article. The wannabes barely drew any attention and soon fizzled out, the real deals left their mark on what ever company they dominated as well as the business itself. Pick your favorite: NWO(HALL, NASH, HOGAN-1996), D-Generation X(HHH, DOGG, GUNN, PAC, & CHYNA-1998), Evolution( HHH, BATISTA, ORTON, FLAIR-2003) or who ever else you can name, & the ground was laid for them by one team/group/gang...and they are Ric Flair, the "enforcer" Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson, & Tully Blanchard along with manager J.J. Dillon! They held all the gold, The Andersons were tag team champs, Tully the TV champ, & Flair of course, was always the reign heavy weight champion of the world! The more things change, the more they stay the same!
Some of the faces may have changed, but twenty four years later, the Fourseman are still being led by the Nature Boy & are still holding all the gold. Back in the 80's they held NWA gold, today they hold Smackdown v. Raw (feat. E.C.W.) 2009: Script This! gold! The new faces are United States Champion: Chuck Palumbo, W.W.E. Tag Team Champions: John Morrison & The Miz, and surprise, surprise, the World Heavyweight Champion is none other than Ric Flair himself! Flair, always knew how to surround himself with cream of the crop talent & these three are no different! Palumbo, Miz, & Morrison are considered the future of this business & by aligning themselves with the Nature Boy, they have assured themselves of that future being one that is being salivated over! We just can't wait to see what the thoroughbreds are gonna do next! The question is, how did this unlikely union come about!
The seeds were being planted as far back as the two week super show to crown new champions in the weeks leading up to the Royal Rumble! Day one saw Palumbo win a first round tournament match defeated Chavo Guerrero. He would go on to outlast Carlito in dominant fashion to advance in the US Title tournament. Later that night, he would be shown looking on from the ramp way while Miz & Morrison won their qualifying match against the exciting duo of London & Kendrick. It wasn't clear if Miz & Morrison knew why! A few days later however, Palumbo would team with with duo to face the threesome of Jesse, Festus & Mr. Kennedy in a match laden with championship implications! They kept the match in their favor by keeping the "Cornfed Collossas" out of it! It was more like a handicap match as Palumbo, Miz, & Morrison showed great chemistry throughout! The match was a good indicator of things to come at the Rumble!
Speaking of the Royal Rumble(being held in Charlotte, North Carolina of all places) Chuck Palumbo would make his presence felt during the pre-show by confronting Chris Jericho who was set to be handed the World Heavy Weight title. Apparently, Mr. Palumbo was non to thrilled about this and decided to do something about it! He got in Jericho's face and goaded him into giving the Hall of Famer, who just happened to be in attendance at the time(Coincidence, I think not!) a shot a his "newly won" gold! It should be pointed out that the entire time Palumbo was talking Jericho into facing Flair, he was taking every chance to run down his opponent for later that night, Mr. Kennedy as only a Horseman would! So now not only was Ric Flair set to face Jericho for the World Heavy Weight Title, Palumbo was facing Mr. Kennedy to crown a new US Champ, and Miz & Morrison were gonna be meeting Jessie & Festus to crown new WWE tag team Champs at the Rumble that night as well! Palumbo's match took place first as he defeated Kennedy....Kennedy due to distraction when John Morrison "suddenly" appeared at ringside! Later, during the WWE tag title match, Palumbo interjected by bringing the out of control Festus back in hand the only way possible, he ringing the the bell! Festus went limp leaving him vulnerable to be rolled up by Morrison for a championship crowning three count! Palumbo, who was quckly turning into the new enforcer right before our wasn't done as he would make his most impactful appearance of the night! First, he distracted Jericho and the ref allowing Flair to catch him with a low, then when the referee was attended to Flair who appeared to have gotten hurt, Palumbo blasted Jericho with a chair from behind leaving ripe for the picking! Ric Flair took advantage & WOOOOO!, the now 17 time World Champion was standing tall! Five days later on Smackdown, Flair makes it seem like he had no idea Palumbo was gonna get involved in the title match and cost Jericho the victory. Jericho, like the rest of us bought it hook, line, & sinker! But, they weren't done toying with us yet as Flair gave Jericho a rematch that very night! Flair wasn't the only one in action though as the new enforcer Chuck Palumbo busted Jeff Hardy open on an exposed turnbuckle(that Chuck exposed himself) during a non-title match that would see Mr. Kennedy jump him after his victory! John Morrison defeated Festus in a singles match after Miz rang the bell to sedate the big bastard! M&M took advantage of Festus' coma like state and beat the hell out Jessie Minnesota Wreckin Crew style! All the pieces came together later that night during the Jericho/Flair world title match! Miz & Morrison destracted the ref while Palumbo came in from behind & knocked Jericho's ass out with a pair of brass knucks! The four men, the new four champions...the four thoroughbreds stood tall with Palumbo holding up the most recognized gang sign in the history of pro wrestling! Yes my friends, the original bad asses, the Four Horseman ride again! To be continued...

This is the Book This! Online exclusive interview with HCW World Tag Team Champions The Comic Book Connection. Also keep this in mind that Petey The Pirate & The Hurricane are not in character & they will be going by their real names in this interview.

Paul Heyman- Petey Williams, Gregory Helms. Thank you again for taking time out of your hectic schedule to do this interview.

Petey Williams- No problem. The pleasure is all ours.

Paul Heyman- So Petey. How has this newfounded success in HCW been going for you?

Petey Williams- Well Paul it's been really good so far. When HCW first started I was teaming up with Lance Storm in my Maple Leaf Muscle gimmick & now i'm one half of the HCW World Tag Team Champions who gets tv time every week as we are one of the more over acts in the entire company right now.

Paul Heyman- Speaking of that. Just how did the whole Petey The Pirate gimmick come up?

Petey Williams- Well I was joking around backstage a while back with John Cena, Gregory & of course our boss James Baker & they all told me that the Pirate gimmick would definitely go over so the next day I came to the HCW headquarters & me & James got to laying out the creative plans for the introduction of the Pirate gimmick & once I debuted the Pirate gimmick, it just took off from there & now me & Gregory Helms are the HCW World Tag Team Champions.

Paul Heyman- My next question is for your tag team partner Gregory Helms. Gregory, how exactly did you get picked to be Petey's tag team partner.

Gregory Helms- Well I wasn't really doing anything at the time as I was very low on the card. I was the one who pitched the idea for me to return to my Hurricane gimmick & my original plan was to just see how much I can get over by being in the singles division, but being placed in the tag team division has been great cause we are both so over with the crowd. We get bigger pops than alot of main event guys & we just run with the characters as we write our own material & we do whatever we want in that ring just as long as it leads up to the finish of the match & as long as the fans are happy about it.

Paul Heyman- Who do you think is gonna win the HCW World Tag Team Championship tournament & face you guys at HCW Redemption?

Gregory Helms- That's a good question Paul. I mean I would love to face CM Punk & Colt Cabana or Santino & Regal, The Hart Dynasty is a good team to face, Team UK from the IWC is a very good & underrated team. Fuck I would love to face Sabin & Shelley again, but there are alot of great teams in this tournament that it's just hard to really pick a particular tag team to face at Redemption.

Paul Heyman- Thank you guys for taking time out of your day to give the interview & good luck in your tag team title matchup at Redemption.-Credit Big Pimpin

Vickie Guerrero, YOU'RE FFIIRREEDD!!!:
On the June 8, 2009 of Monday Night RAW, WWE-Rebirth's Vickie Guerrero was relieved of her duties as Raw GM! Needless to say she was overcome as she broke down and started weeping incessantly. As she was being escorted out, the fans serenaded her oh so sweetly with that old standard "Na Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye." Vince McMahon couldn't be reached for comment, but one inside source told us that Vince felt like there needed to be a change as the product was becoming stagnant as Vickie wasn't getting the job done, so a change needed to be made! Stay tuned for more on this story.

Behind the Scenes Turmoil in Absolute Championship Wrestling?
:
There has been a major shake up behind the scenes at Absolute Championship Wrestling. According to the company website, ACW.wz, A new Board of Directors has been put in place! The old board has been ousted! No further details have been given, but apparently the old Board of Directors had been making statements about the promotions return that they were not authorized to. This statement was taken directly from the company's website: An announcement from the ACW Board of Directors...
"An unforeseen delay in the airing of Explosion has occurred, but the Board is doing its best to ensure the show will air over this weekend...
Stay tuned for details."
A couple of weeks later, this statement was posted: "The Board of Directors that made this promise has been sacked.
The new Board makes no guarantee of time, but ensures that ACW will return soon..."

We will provide more details as the become available!

UWC Stages an Uprising:
A new promotion in the land of Book This, Uprising Wrestling Community, makes their presence felt with the debut of their tv show uN-TaM3d on 15-6-2009! The show featured an action packed card that was headline by Triple H vs. the Undertaker vs. Hulk Hogan vs. Shawn Michaels for the UWC Heavyweight Championship! The Undertaker walked out the titled when the smoke cleared. It was quite an impressive victory. Other results from the show were The Hardy Boys with Lita over Edge and Christian, John Cena over Batista & Randy Orton, Eddie Guerrero w/Chyna in his corner defeated Sting, Kurt Angle outlasted Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley while The Rock with help from Ric Flair, Rob van Dam and MVP! The match was suppoed to be a Stone Cold vs. The Rock affair, but was turned into a Stone Cold & Big Show vs The Rock no dq handicap match by Vince! The second edition of uN-TaM3d saw Edge capture the UWC TV Championship via a Brock Lesnar F-5 to Kurt Angle! Brock made run-in while the ref was down on the mat!
UWC has a deep roster and is a promotion you should definately keep your eyes on! They will be adding a second weekly show titled Burning Bright which debuts next week! We hope to have comments from both Taker about his title victory later this week! UWC's Maria did a short interview with Edge(courtesy of UWC):
After picking up a huge win against Kurt Angle thanks to some timely interference from Brock Lesnar, Maria managed to catch up with the “Rated-R Superstar” to get his thoughts on the match, his title and his recently announced match at Brutal Beginnings against The Rock.

Maria: Edge, I was wondering if I could get your thoughts on your match against Kurt Angle tonight.

Edge: I know did you see it!? I had Kurt exactly where I wanted him before that idiot Brock Lesnar interfered and cost me a clean victory. I could have taken Kurt down at any point but I was just playing with him. It matters not because I am the new UWC Television Champion and that’s all that counts no matter how you get the victory.

Maria: And what about the announcement that you will be facing The Rock at Brutal Beginnings?

Edge: The Rock might think he is coming in hot but he doesn’t know what he is dealing with. I am the Rated R Superstar and just like Kurt Angle learned tonight, I am the best in the business. The Rock is gonna find out that the people love me, they want to see me on top of the mountain and that’s where I’m going to stay. Trust me, at Brutal Beginnings, The Rick will find exactly why I am the first UWC Television Champion.

UWC Announcements-New Championships will be added to the brands. The Undertaker will remain as UWC Champion and will be on Un-Tamed for the foreseeable future. To counteract that a new championship, which is on equal par with the UWC Championship, It will be known as the UWC Heavyweight Championship. Edge will remain as UWC TV Champion and, again, will remain on Burning Bright for the foreseeable future. To counteract this, a new championship named UWC Mania Championship will be introduced to UWC Un-Tamed. Both of these titles will be competed for at Brutal beginnings.

BOOK THIS! MAGAZINE ONLINE- AUG. 13, 2009

nWZo INVADES CDK
btmag1.png

CDK Wrestling has been invaded by the MIGHTY nWZo, New Wrestle Zone Order & things aint looking so pretty for them. The nWZo has become the single most dominant faction in the business bosting over thirty members, including the founder the ultra exclusive BOOK THIS! MAGAZINE ONLINE.
Xfearbefore a.k.a Hollywood X defeated (not so)Slick Christian for the vacant CKD Domination Title & SavageTaker beat TMexico's ass for the CKD World Heavyweight Championship title on the latest episode. CKD owner, Calvin Cash got royally pissed & demanded that SavageTaker defend his newly won title in a Triple Threat Match against U.P. & Milkyway. Needless to say, they were no match for the champ & he successfully retained the title. Milenko Inferno & J-Dogg and JKO also repped the family well as Milenko won a 10 man battle royal to became #1 Contender for the King Of The Street Fight title & J&J successfully defended their CKD Tag Team Championships over a couple of Creationism scrubs. Milenko Inferno will get his title shot at Lethal Injection. The whole family is riding high...nWZo style. I guess it should be noted that TMexico is threatening to sue, but oh well.

Quotes from members of the nWZo family:
HOLLYWOOD X STORM-"It doesn't get much better, brother. The nWZo has shown their dominance, and will continue to show the wrestling world that this here is a hostile takeover.

When you're nWZo brotha...you're nWZo-4-LIFE."

JKO JARRET-"For now, CKD is just getting on the map. But I say it's the best E-Fed out there! Every faction is on there, we have all the stars, and we have the most controversial TV you will ever see! Plus we have the best champions, for example: J&J, Me (JKO) and J-Dogg. Stay tuned to see what we have in store...."

DOC STIENER-"Lemme tell ya,man, it was great. Me and my brothers in the nWZo are taking over CDK, and we have each others' backs. Those who aren't with us are against us, and if you're against us...well, that's pretty damn stupid. The black and white runs deeper than anyone could imagine. We are a brotherhood. nWZo 4 Life."

THE MIZFIT KYLE PETTY-Well all CDK needs to know is that I'm Kyle Petty and I'm gonna speed thought them like there is no tomorrow. Its nWZo 4 Lyfe.."

MR. TITAN-"nWZo is clearly the greatest stable, we have the real Scott Hall AND the fake (but greater in my VERY unbiased opinion) one! And if you think all the faction stuff is great right now? Wait until you're turning japanese!"

WWF - Women's Wrestling Federation
2rhbte1.jpg

Recently, a press conference was held to announce the launching of the first national, all-female wrestling promotion. Stephanie McMahon, daughter of WWE head Vince McMahon let it be known that she is no longer a part of the WWE family. Fed up with the way things are being run, she decided to go out on her own & launch a new wrestling company, WWF - Women's Wrestling Federation. Here's a quote from Ms. McMahon herself:

"Thank you for coming, let's get this show on the road. You're probably all wondering why I, a McMahon, have asked you all out here today. You may also question why this press conference isn't at Titan Tower, or why there's no WWE signs anywhere. Here's the news you all came here for. Starting today, I am the proud owner of Women's Wrestling Federation. For too long, my father has put aside women's wrestling, and I've had enough. He can pass his company onto my brother Shane, but I won't sit idly by and watch them flush the family business down the tubes. I can't do this on my own though. To help me, I've hired the last two great female wrestlers to ever grace a WWE ring. They'll each have their own show, and they'll be free to run them as they see fit".

It turns out that the two women that Stephanie hired are formen WWE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONS, Trish Stratus & Lita! They had what is probably considered the most legendary feud in the history of women's wrestling. They will each be GMs of their own show under the WWF banner. Stratus will helm Ladies Night, while Lita will head up Lithium.

Both woman chose to accept the offer because they saw the damage that has been to women's wrestling and wanna remind fans of the way it used to be, and show where they can take in the future. Here's what the had to say on the subject:

Quotes:
Trish Stratus: "First, I'd like to thank Stephanie for this great opportunity. Wrestling has long been a passion of mine, and it's truly sad to see how low it's fallen since the retirements of myself and Lita. With Stephanie's help, I plan to put it back in the proper light, and get it the credit it deserves."

Lita: "When Stephanie called me, and said that her and Trish had decided I'd be right for this job, I was hesitant to accept. I thoguht wrestling was in my past. They made a good point, however, about women's wrestling. It's fallen on hard times. I took the job, and I'm making it my goal to bring it to where it belongs."

Trish & Lita have put together talented rosters for their respective shows. Trish has recruited the likes of Melina Perez, Awesome Kong, LuFisto, Roxxi, and MsChif, while Lita has signed Angelina Love, Beth Phoenix, Maryse, and Talia Madison.

To Lita, this seems to very personal to her as she not only took a shot at her former boss, World Wrestling Entertainment, but made this shocking announcement:

Quote:
Lita:"'Ive decided to line my show up in the same exact time slot as Ladies Night"

While everyone in attendance was shocked by announcement, including this reporter, not to mention Stephanie & Trish, for wrestling fans, it'll be like old times as Trish & Lita will undoubtedly bring their A games against each other. Lita told Trish, whose head was in her hands, that she was in it to win it and would go out swinging before she left the podium. Stephanie tried to play it cool, but failed. You could hear the shock in her voice.

Each show (or brand) will have their own championships, Lithium will a brand named championship as well as a tv title. Ladies night will also have a brand named championship along with a hardcore title. The shows will share a tag team title, the WWF Tag Team Championship. Since both shows will go head to head, the title will only be defended on pay per view. The tag titles will only be defended against opponents from the opposing show. The first ppv will determine the first champions for each show. We will try to get exclusive interviews from Stephanie, Lita, & Trish regarding this project in the future.

BIG WILL'S SCRIPT THIS-BACKLASH PREVIEW:

Backlash is right around the corner and will be headline by a huge fatal four way for the WWE Title as John Cena defends against EDGE, RANDY ORTON, & HHH

WWE Champion John Cena sat down with Jerry “The King” Lawler to talk about the match:

(Jerry “The King” Lawler)- “Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to my one on one sit down interview with our current W.W.E Champion, John Cena. Welcome, John.”

(John Cena)- “Thanks King, its great to be here.”

(Jerry “The King” Lawler)- “Now John, I have a couple main topics that I‘d like to ask you about, including some fan write-in‘s. First topic at hand is going to be your current Reign as W.W.E Champion. What makes it different from all the rest?”

(John Cena)- “Well, Jerry, I can‘t really say it is considered different from any of my previous runs as Champion. The fact is I go out there each and every night, and when I have this title around my waist, or I‘m holding it up high, I don‘t think about whether this run is any different from any other. I just go out, with one thing on my mind and that‘s entertaining the fans.”

(Jerry “The King” Lawler)- “Okay, fair enough. A lot of people have criticized you as being a stale Champion at times. While you‘re arguably one of our biggest fan favorites, you still have plenty of members of our W.W.E Universe who love to voice their opinion, week in and week out. What do you have to say about that?”

(John Cena)- “First thing‘s first, each and every member of our W.W.E Universe has every right to come to our shows and voice their opinion. They don‘t have to cheer me, or boo me. They don‘t have to do anything, except try to enjoy themselves. I‘m not here to win a popularity contest, Jerry, I‘m here to win matches. I‘m here to be the top guy in the business, and that’s currently what I am.

People pay a lot of money to come out and see us, and if a crowd of double digit Thousands believe I should be booed out of the building, then I‘m sure they‘ll let me here it. And if those same Thousands feel that I should be justly cheered, then I‘ll be right there to back them up, and be the quality Champion they expect me to be.”

(Jerry “The King” Lawler)- “Alright, next Question. This one comes from one of our W.W.E fans. You seem to have an on-again, off-again relationship with Triple H. Can you elaborate on exactly what the standing between you two would be?”

(John Cena)- “Well, Jerry, the standing is simple. Mutual respect. Triple H is one hell of an athlete, and he‘s an amazing opponent to go up against. We don‘t and likely won‘t always see eye to eye on everything, but we hold respect for one another. That’s what I‘d consider our standing to be.”

(Jerry “The King” Lawler)- “Speaking of Triple H, he‘s one of the Three individuals you‘ll be defending your Championship against in a Fatal Four Way, at Backlash. What is your opinion of this match, and your final statement heading into it?”

(John Cena)- “Its definitely going to be a challenge, just like any other match-up of this caliber. Going in, I‘m facing three individuals I‘ve faced in the past. I‘ve beaten each of them, and they‘ve all beaten Me, so its what I‘d consider to be a stalemate at this point.

Triple H and Myself are coming off quite possibly one of the biggest Wrestlemania matches in history, and that’s saying something considering I personally believe it out-did our previous Mania moment. As for Edge and Orton, they‘ve both once again come together in a unity to attempt unseating Me as Heavyweight Champion. Unfortunately, I can‘t sit here and say that won‘t happen, because anything is possible.

However, what I will say is this. When I walk into Backlash, I won‘t walk in to lay down. I‘ll fight with all I have, I‘ll give all I‘ve got, and I‘ll lay it all on the line, to keep what‘s most important to me. This, W.W.E. Championship.”

(Jerry “The King” Lawler)- “Let‘s for a moment, look beyond Backlash. If you can find a way to retain, what‘s next for John Cena?”

(John Cena)- “Without taking anything away from Backlash, if I can walk out with My Championship still intact, I think my next step will be determining who my next challenge will be from. King, I‘m a fighting Champion, and won‘t just rest on my loral’s. One man specifically that I‘m looking to give some payback to, would be Scott Steiner. Don‘t think that just because I‘m focused on Backlash, that it doesn‘t mean I haven‘t forgotten about the past few weeks worth of attacks Steiner‘s given Me. One day, sooner or later, we‘ll have our encounter.”

Cena's opponents Edge, Ortan, & Triple H could not be reached for comment as they are focused their big title match!
