Championship Contender
Who in your opinion is the best of all time in each of these categories...

~ Technical Wrestler
~ Entertainer
~ High Flyer
~ Giant/Big Guy
~ Hardcore Wrestler
~ Tag Team

- Explain your choices and why you went for tha particular wrestler/s. If possible point younger posters in the direction of some good momenst, matches and promos that show why you chose who you chose.

Nice Thread!

Lemme think here... :scratchchin:

Technical Wrestler: it's very hard for me to decide, it comes down to two guys. Kurt Angle, and Chris Benoit. I loved both of them...I guess i'll have to choose Angle. He was always grapplin' all around the ring with all his submissions and pure wrestling moves.

Entertainer: This definitely goes to Santino (not the heel Santino). To me, he is very funny, and Raw isn't the same without his comical skits.

High Flyer: very tough one. It's between Rey (back in the day) and Bourne. I guess Bourne. Everytime I see him do the Air Bourne, it steals the show for me.

Big Guy: I was never really a big fan of the huge people. However, I did like The Great Khali (when he first debuted against the Undertaker). He was brutal, and he knew how to mess someone up.

Hardcore Wrestler: Hands down MICK FOLEY! He has been in numerous hardcore matches, but the one thing that truely defines him is the fall from hell in a cell. No other deserves the title of best hardcore wrestler.

Tag Team: I'm really into Air Boom, but they have to continue to be a tag team and do more stuff before anyone dares to say "they are the best". I'm going to have to give this to either Edge & Christain, or the Hardy Boyz. I'll say Hardy Boyz, just because Jeff ALWAYS stole the show with the various jumps and flips from the ladder to the ground.

~ Technical Wrestler - Chris Benoit (Angle was a close second but Benoit's wrestling was just too pure and good and he was always just a notch higher than Angle.)

~ Entertainer- Eddie Guerrero (Love him or Hate him he was the most entertaining superstar to watch throughout his second half of his career.)

~ High Flyer- Sin Cara (The stuff he dose in the ring is unbelievable. I'll take a botching Sin Cara over Rey Mysterio any day. We still haven't seen what he is fully cable of and that is a scary thing.)

~ Giant/Big Guy- Kane (The big Red Machine Deserves this Spot.)

~ Hardcore Wrestler- Triple H (Any No DQ match he has been involved in has been a joy to watch.)

~ Tag Team- Hardy Boyz (Air Boom is a close second but the Hardy Boyz were a classic tag team. Regardless of their current issues the Hardy Boyz stole the crowds attention, brought entrainment, tag team destruction and lots of classic matches. Jeff Carried the team Btw.)

Technical Wrestler - I think Angle is the winner here for me as well. He beats out (barely) people like Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and the previously mention Benoit

Entertainer - Another tough one, but I think I have to go with The Rock. He was always entertaining in the ring, and electrifying on the microphone. Other people The only person who is close in my opinion is Jericho, with Austin in 3rd, but closer to #4 than he is to #2.

High Flyer - Jeff Hardy is the name that most personifies this for me. Between his high spots, running the rail, Whisper in the Wind and Swanton bomb, whenever his feet left the ground, it was awesome. I think Shelton Benjamin is another person who could be up there for his Money in the Bank matches, and the Super Kick that you will never forget.

Giant/Big Guy - I'd probably have to go with Big Show unless Taker counts for this category, in which case I can't imagine there is another good answer.

Hardcore Wrestler - This has to be Foley/Cactus Jack, I'm don't think that needs explaining.

Tag Team - This one is probably the toughest. In WWE I want to say the Hardyz, E&C and the Dudleyz but in the same breath I want to mention The World's Greatest Tag Team. They may not have had the longevity of a lot of teams, but they are amazing technical wrestlers. In WCW I always loved Jindrak and O'Haire. TNA has Beer Money and MCMG among other great ones. Then there are the older and/or less mainstream teams such as The Rockers, Demolition, Road Warriors and ROH teams that I don't have enough exposure to like The Kings of Wrestling. All in all, I think my answer here is The World's Greatest Tag Team.

Technical Wrestler - Eddie Guerrero
There's no doubt in my mind that Eddie Guerrero was one of the finest to have ever graced the squared circle. Guerrero had phenomenal talent and could really do it all. He's a Hybrid wrestler of sorts often combining high risk maneuvers with ground and technical abilty. During his short life and his career, Eddie put on some very fine matches; many of which I would consider five star material. Guerrero always seemed to want to have the best match on the card and he often did so. He was a fine athlete and went out of his way to make his opponents look good. In a time where Technical Wrestling hardly exists anymore, Eddie is surely missed.

Entertainer - Hulk Hogan
You're wrong if you don't find Hogan as the single best entertainer of all time. I challenge anyone to find someone better then Hogan. Hulk Hogan took the wrestling world and flipped it on it's ass transforming the sport forever. Before Hogan, wrestling wasn't main stream. Before Hogan, WWF was shitty. Hogan brought in fans all over the world with his natural charisma and is by far single most recognizable wrestler ever.

High Flyer - Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio made it possible for a lot of the smaller guys to get noticed. He is very marketable and is probably one of the most recognizable high flyers in wrestling history. Sure his career has slowed a bit but that doesn't change the fact that Rey Mysterio is one of the select few highflyers who know how to sell and tell a story while wrestling.

Giant/Big Guy - The Undertaker
I couldn't really think of many but Undertaker is the one that really stuck out. There's no doubt in my mind that The Undertaker has made a legend out of himself. I've never seen a 6'10, 300 pound man do so much. His career spanding two decades and what a decade those were. Undertaker always incoperated new moves over the years and never really got stale to me. He's the guy who I was terrified of when I was younger and now he's the guy I respect the most. The Undertaker is not only one if the best gimmicks of all time, but one of the best legends of all time. Definitely the best big guy.

Hardcore Wrestler - Mick Foley
Mick Foley is one of the ballsiest (is that a word?) motherfuckers to ever step foot in the ring. The horror stories of how he lost his teeth or how his ear was taken right off in a match really shows just how hardcore Mick Foley is. He's had numerous memorable moments and has put over a substantial amount of talent. WCW, ECW, TNA, WWE, doesn't matter; he's an artist when it comes to the hardcore style.

Tag Team - Edge & Christian
This is more of an opinion. I don't really have much to talk about here other then I was a total mark for these two. Funny, fun to watch, fun to listen to and an all aound entertaining tag team. No tag team has ever made me take so much interest in a promo or match like these two did. Edge was great, Christian was great, a fine tag team indeed.

The Best of all-time - Stone Cold Steve Austin
Although Bret may be better than Stone Cold Steve Austin when it comes to mat skills, Steve Austin is definitely the best Wrestler of all time. He is without a doubt the saviour of the industry leading to the "Attitude Era". Unlike Hogan, Steve Austin contributed to the rise of other superstars during that era such as Vince McMahon (Mr. McMahon persona), Triple H, Mick Foley and Kurt Angle. He was able to increase both the awareness and revenues of the WWE in terms of airtime and merchandises. He gave all of us a reason to tune in to Raw each week. He led WWE Raw to win over WCW Nitro in the ratings war.

Best Technical Wrestler - Bret "The Hitman" Hart
Bret "The Hitman" Hart is without a doubt the best technical wrestler there is. He is the best role model when it comes to pure wrestling among current wrestlers. Almost all of his matches were five-star caliber and he helped introduce some of the most innovative matches in history from the Iron Man to the Ladder Match (He is actually the first one to do it in the WWE) to the "I quit Match". He is one the best "Salesman" ever and has helped put over a dozen "Hall of Fame" bound superstars like Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Bam Bam Bigelow, Yokozuna, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Rowdy Roddy Piper and "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig. One of the most decorated superstar in WWE History, winning every challenges the WWE has to offer. He is truly the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.

Best Entertainer - The Rock
The Rock is definitely the most successful WWE superstar to enter Hollywood. He definitely entertains and gives us 5-star matches. The best in Mic skills.

Best High Flyer - Shawn Michaels
He is the benchmark of every highflyer in the industry. If you ask everyone who is there favorite wrestler... HBK. He always gives us 5-star matches and no doubt one of the best wrestler in the history. He already cemented his place among the Wrestling Greats and he is the only high flyer in my list of Top 10 All-time Greats.

Best Giant/ Big Guy - The Undertaker
19-0 in Wrestlemania, 8-time World Champion... The best big man ever.

Best Hardcore Wrestler - Mick Foley
Whenever you think of hardcore, who is the only person that comes to your mind? The first Hardcore Champion... Mick Foley. He is part of the most brutal Hell-in-Cell match ever. He put Hardcore in the mainstream and opened the doors for other wrestlers from ECW.

Best Tag Team - The Dudleys
The most decorated Tag Team in the history of wrestling. They are the only team to have held the WWE, World, ECW, WCW, NWA, TNA, and IWGP Tag Team Championships. No doubt, the best tag team ever.

Technical Wrestler Bret Hart, he is the best there is, best there was and the best there ever will be. Does anything else need to be said here? :)

Entertainer The Rock, every time he came out to wrestle or cut a promo, he was very entertaining.. loved everything he did since The Nation.

High Flyer This is a hard one to choose, but I'd have to go with Juventud Guerrera. Been a huge fan of the guy ever since WCW. Loved him when he had his mask, liked him when lost his mask. He always put on entertaining matches with guys like Mysterio and Psicosis. I marked out hard when he showed up in WWE doing the Mexicools gimmick. Loved every bit of it. :)

Giant/Big Guy Not sure about this one, probably Big Show, but I'd have to go with his WCW gimmick, The Giant, i enjoyed him back then alot more than his WWE gimmick. And I always thought he should be undefeated as big as he is. No one should be able to beat The World's Largest Athlete. :)

Hardcore Wrestler Raven, I gotta go with him. He's always been one of my all time favorite hardcore wrestlers. I know everyone will pick Foley but I always loved Raven's gimmick and his style.

Tag Team The Outsiders, hands down the greatest tag team ever. I'm a huge nWo mark. Hall and Nash were just amazing together. Close 2nd and 3rd would be Edge & Christian and New Age Outlaws. :)

Technical Wrestler - Hands down, for me it's nobody else but Bret Hart. Don't get me wrong, there have been many talented in-ring technicians, but Bret was always so crisp and fluid.

Best Entertainer - I have to throw my vote to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. I was never bored when that glass hit. He had such a connection to the people and he always entertained me.

Best High Flyer - Rey Mysterio. He may be long past his prime, but his days in WCW really cemented him for me. Whenever someone mentions high flyers, he always pops into my head before anyone else.

Best Giant/ Big Guy - The Eighth Wonder of the World, Andre the Giant. He was always a favorite of mine and even during his later days, he was a force to be reckoned with. He was also the first entrant into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Best Hardcore Wrestler - I have to vote for Mick Foley. The things that man put his body through were just sickening and at times awe inspiring.
The brutal beating the Rock gave him in their "I Quit" match will always stay with me. His Hell in the Cell match with the Undertaker needs no mention. That match is a part of WWE history.

Best Tag Team - The New Age Outlaws. I loved them and I was always entertained by them. There are tons of great teams, The Hart Foundation, Demolition, Edge and Christian, The Dudley Boys, etc...but the Outlaws were my favorite and to this day, I still mark out if I hear their old theme.

Technical wrestler: Dean Malenko. So underrated. Hurt by the fact that he was short, ugly and had no charisma. An amazing technician and no doubt in my mind that he is the best ever.

Entertainer: Not sure what this means. Entertainer as in on the mic or in the ring? Assuming it means mic work, I go with Roddy Piper.

High Flyer: Rey Mysterio Jr. His stuff in the 90s is unmatched.

Big Man: Tie between Bam Bam Bigelow and Vader. Both incredibly agile and stiff in the ring. They made it believable.

Hardcore: I don't understand people saying Foley. Foley's "hardcore" skill was getting beaten up and selling it. Don't know on this, don't relaly even care to rate it.

Tag Team: Williams & Gordy. I like wrestlers who make me believe and the Miracle Violence Collection excelled at that.

Technical- Bret Hart. Kurt, Benoit, Jericho, they are all great, but Bret is the best. The greatest pure wrestling match to never happen is Bret vs Kurt so I wouldnt take any answer seriously if it didnt list one of these two men. My pick goes to Bret though as good as Kurt is, his intensity unmatched, no one does this thing we call wrestling, and with such laid back and relax precision and confidence, like Bret.
He makes it look so damn good and easy, and he just executes his shit well. Kurt does too, but Bret just does it better. HBK will always be the best in ring performer, but best tech wrestler goes to Bret.
It's what made their WM12 bout that good. Kurt has his amateur background, his amazing gold medal win in the Olympics with a broken fricken neck. He can talk better so would be the better superstar over Bret with great wrestling ability and charisma which Bret lacks badly, but where Kurt's better on the mic, Bret's better by a bit, in the ring.

Entertainer- The Rock. I dont really need to say much, I mean what needs to be proved? He was in the highest rated segment in WWE history, he's the best talker of all time than any old school wrestler, wrestler during his time, or wrestler than will come in the future. He always has the crowd in the palm of his hands more than Hogan ever did and his popularity has grown beyond both Hogan and Austin in wrestling and outside of it, on a wider entertainment basis.
The man was so good the entertainment world wanted to snatch him away from us before he was done doing his thing and he gets shit from it because ppl cant be smart enough to realize Vince saw a good business move 30 moves ahead on the chess board.
The Rock entertains better than anyone because he's not afraid to fail as he's said time and time again, he'll try anything and he stays in character damn well, I dont know how he does it. His character is just that great, you have to love him and you cant not like what he does in the ring. Him talking is as entertaining as anything you can put on the card segment or match wise no matter how good. He sells on his mic time alone, look at Mania.
No one else can be called the greatest entertainer except this man, they may be great, but not greater than The Rock... get real and stop lying to yourselves if you didnt pick this man.

High Flyer-This one's really up in the air more than any other (pun not originally intended, but not giving a fuck, it is now) I'm gonna just go with Rey Mysterio as he's been an entertaining high flyer and he doesnt just do high spots here and there like a Jeff Hardy who is a good high flyer too, but the difference is high flying IS this guy's style, it wasnt with guys like Jeff Hardy or Shawn or Eddie, they did moves but they werent styled to this where Rey is. He gives you high flying throughout the whole damn match from ropes, turnbuckles, off his opponent, you cant beat that.
And he's better than a Sin Cara, Ultimo Dragon or Psychosis. I give credit to guys who do high risk stunts because Shane doesnt do them often but if it were a best stunt of all time award he'd get it for those titantron dives. RVD has the best high flying finisher of all time for getting mad height and turning in mid-air but Rey is all around a pure high flyer 100% of the time, not 50% of the time.

Big Guy- The Undertaker is the best big man of all time, strictly talking of giants Bigshow would get the nod, as although Andre was more popular and physically bigger, Show can talk better and is more diverse in what he delivers in the ring and such, but overall big guys has to be Taker. Dude has amazing athleticism, walking the ropes like he does is reason enough, the presence he has, his whole gimmick and how his build is perfect for it. He's not too big but he's big enough, he can demolish anyone smaller than him, eye to eye or on rare occassion taller or bigger than he. The Undertaker due to his gimmick will always remain bigger than all the other big men in other ways besides physical stature

Hardcore- The first two names that come to mind are Mick Foley and Terry Funk, then Sabu also pops into my mind as a close third. I know a lot of hardcore wrestlers that are very much extreme, but to me it wouldnt be a credible pick if one of these three wasnt in th TOP place of best hardcore wrestler.
It's just so damn hard. Terry Funk has done some extreme shit, I just watched a match he had in Japan a week ago and people talk about going the distance to give the fans what they want, well he does that a bit more than most, but then so does Foley and I'd have to just call him by name because I couldnt choose between Mankind and Cactus Jack for more hardcore.
Cactus may be known for being extreme first and be the ECW based character, but Mankind is just as sadistic and doesnt mind putting himself through hell during a match. Sabu has that same carelessness of his body and wears his scars with pride.
These are the three most extreme wrestlers who ever lived, but I have to pick Mick Foley as I think he is hardcore not just of the body, but of the mind, I think his gimmicks win me over for the state of mind they are in, you have hardcore wrestlers and then... you have Mick Foley, who would make mental patients in an aslyum say "get me the fuck away from this guy"

Tag Team- The Roadwarriors, they won the belts in three of the biggest organizations in the world and unlike some other greats had left their mark damn near everywhere where it counted. I mean I watched these guys on WWE OnDemand back from NWA shows get in the ring and destroy their opponents quickly like a tag team of Golbergs.
I think they are badass, what a team should be and most definately a TEAM that sticks together for the long haul as it's all they wanted to be and dedicated their career to being the best TEAM not singles stars (not a knock on Edge and Christian who are 2nd place imo)
LOD is just the greatest from their look, may not have flashy double team moves I love in E&C, The Hardys and Dudleys who took it to a new level than LOD ever did, I'll admit, but I still must as hard as it is give it to The Legion of Doom. The Roadwarriors Hawk and Animal.

I'm enjoying all the replys so far. It's nice/interesting reading peoples responses and realising that the fans of the WWE and pro wrestling span many generations. Goin to try and attempt to answer my own thread now...

~ Technical
I am going to have to go for Bret Hart over Angle, Eddie or anybody else who no doubt were great technicians in the ring themselves. It has been said over and over again and full in the knowledge I am bringing up a match that always gets mentioned but the Summerslam 1992 match against British Bulldog was a great example of just how good Bret was. I am not a huge fan of technical wrestling and have never hidden the fact I like entertaining gimmicks and hardcore wrestling just as much as a good "wrestling match" but that Summerslam match always stuck in my head way before I spoke to other wrestling fans and found out how popular it was. If I were to choose anybody else for this category it would be William Regal who I feel could out wrestle anybody on his day.

~ Entertainer
The Rock and Chris Jericho both brilliant natural entertainers and it's no suprise to me that they both involve themselves in other forms of entertainment outside of wrestling. Stone Cold Steve Austin entertained me more than any other wrestler has but if I am to be honest and pick the best ever in wrestling history I have to go for Hulk Hogan. I was a Hulkamaniac growing up and was captivated by this big, larger than life character I saw on TV beating up "bad guys". I did eventually discover The undertaker and all that changed but up until that day Hulk Hogan was the closet thing on earth to a real life super hero. What he did for wrestling needs no explaining... I think he beats everybody hands down. I am not sure about who bought in the most money Hogan, Rock, Austin blah blah.. I don't research those things but if it was Austin or anybody during the Attitude era it was made easier for them to do so because of the work Hogan did in the past, elevating Pro Wrestling into the minds of the public (even those who do not watch it).

~Best High Flyer
My least favourite wrestling style. The few high flyers I have enjoyed over the years are Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy, Shawn Michaels and that is who I am going to choose.. The Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels. The fact he was a great high flyer (wrestler and entertainer) and reached the status he did in the WWE despite not being 6'6 and 240lbs or whatever means he in my opinion is the best.

~ Giant/Big Guy
Andre The Giant was a true force of nature, no doubt one of the greatest and probably the giant if you were to pick one giant in wrestling history but I am going for not only my favourite big man but my favourite WWE superstar of all time... The Undertaker. A true phenom , greatest gimmick ever and for a man his size one hell of a wrestler. He can bring many cards to the table and his wrestling improved a lot over the years (probably because he never had to show much ability in his early Undertaker days apart from no selling and squashing). He as adapted to every era, wrestling style and he is just a true legend in the world of pro wrestling.

~ Best Hardcore
Terry Funk deserves a mention but I too am going for Mick Foley. A mixture or having little to no respect for your own safety added to a massive urge to entertain by all means possible have made Mick Foley achieve bumps what most people probably have nightmares about. His matches has Cactus Jack in WCW, Japan and the WWE are brutality defined but not just meaningless violence. He does it in a way that makes you care. I like Mick Foley the nice guy, the writer, the happy go lucky gut but I fucking love Mick Foley the Harcore Legend.

~ Tag Team
Road Warriors/Legion Of Doom...hands down in my opinion are the greatest. They have proven it by being successful in any company they have stepped foot inside and they dominated some of the greatest Tag Teams in wrestling history. New Age Outlaws are my personal favourites but LOD are the best ever in my opinion.

Technical Wrestler I'm going with Mr. Perfect on this one. For me, the dude just always shined whenever he was in the ring. Of course the Perfect vs Hart match was fantastic. Just a shame how injuries limited his career and never got the top prize in WWE.

Entertainer Chris Jericho. From his promos to his in ring abilities, this man just has the "IT" factor. Heel/Face, it doesn't matter for Jericho as he is constantly able to reinvent himself.

High Flyer I'm going with the the Great Muta on this one I think mostly cuz out of the likes of Mysterio, Juventud, Ultimo Dragon, etc. Muta actually had a good character, for me the other guys are just blah characters.

Big Guy Andre the Giant hands down. He was the gold standard for big fellas and perhaps the most beloved wrestler of all time. His charisma is unmatched.

Hardcore Foley and Funk. I can't pick one cuz without the other these two legends careers wouldn't be what they are. They are the GodFathers of Hardcore.

Tag Team The Road Warriors. No team will ever match their overall greatness. Gimmick, promos, to in ring performance, these guys had it all.

Technical Wrestler: Kurt angle I am sure if it were a real life situation he would wrestle circles around his competition.

Entertainer: The Rock charisma boosting the energy of the ausience commanding the millions nuff said,

High Flyer: Aj Styles... when this guy was doing his thing back in 2006 it pulled in allota new fans...rey mysterio, juventud, evan bourne are all worthy.

Giant/Big Guy: Hulk Hogan...when he power slammed andre the giant he started a new wave of excitement...other than yokozuna there arent any other big guys who are the best of all time worthy in my opinion

Hardcore Wrestler: Mick foly, Cactus Jack...barb wire baseball bat...thumb tacks, burning tables, falling off the top of a steel cage twice...even falling through it on accident... need i say more

Tag Team: Legion of doom aka The Road Warriors...excitement as a kid growing up sure there were the steiners, the hardys, hart foundation but none have preserved there legacies where both wrestlers involved are best known for tag team wrestling after they retire

Greatest of all time:
Hulk Hogan...most famous...any major boom in the wrestling business hulk has found himself right there...early days of wrestlemania he was there, nwo wcw takeover he was there and now tna the new kid on the block in the wrestling world there he is....he is the most famous and recognizable wrestler

i will throw in some other mentions...

Most unpredictable:
CM Punk...i give this guy the gold for mr shock tv withou having to wrestle to do it

Biggest breakout star: Stone Cold transitioning from Ring Master to Stone Cold...wasnt a fan of stunning steve thought he was a wcw flunkie as ring master...then couldnt help but be a fan when he started venting

Best overall in-ring performer: Shawn Michaels...his work with bret solified his legacy but he works a match and has people vuying into him circa 1995 and onwards

Most believable: Bret Hart ...this guy showed so much fatigue when he did his moves they sure looked like they hurt as well

-Technical Wrestler: For me Bret Hart. Mr. Perfect,Benoit,Angle,Guererro,Jericho all should be mentioned....But Bret Hart Is the greatest technical Wrestler of all time!! He wrestled over 13 years and never Injured a Soul in the squared Circle.

- Entertainer: I would say Hulk Hogan, But hes 2nd in my list. For me its Roddy Piper! The man Never won a world title, And yet Is Considered one of the most Controversial and Entertaining Wrestlers in Pro wrestling History! Plus He started it all with Pipers Pit!!

- High Flyer: Man this is a tough one. Id say noone really stands out in my book! Guys Like Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara (Mistico), The Guererro's....I Mean I might as well Name the entire Lucha Libre Scene!!! Id say RVD,Steamboat,Savage,HBK. Take your pick! If i Must choose, HBK :XD

- Giant/Big Guy: The Undertaker...No exceptions!! A close 2nd for me would be Big Show followed by Kevin Nash and Kane.

-Hardcore Wrestler: Mick Foley followed by Raven, terry Funk, Sabu

- Tag Team: Another tough One. I could say the Road Warriors AKA LOD...and they are def one of the best, But for me I gotta go with The Heart Foundation (80's version) and Arn Anderson, tully Blanchard. Those guys could make anyone they worked with Look good.

Ummm ok. Not completely 100% on most of mine!! But i'll give my current opinions.

Technical Wrestler : I think I might have to make it a tie between Bret Hart and Kurt Angle. Benoit isn't far behind them at all.

Entertainer : The Rock - I will go no further.

High Flyer : I'm sure there were many probably better than Mysterio. But I haven't had a chance to watch many of the greats. So i'll go with Rey Mysterio.

Giant/Big Guy : Despite all the great big men, and I can go down a list...........If The Undertaker qualifies, then he's obviously #1 no questions asked.

Hardcore : Mick Foley - You have many guys like Terry Funk and many other guys in ECW or not....that can make this list. I think Edge is definently up there with Foley.

Tag Team : Hardy Boyz were most exciting, Dudley Boyz won the most tag titles of all-time, Edge & Christian always won the battle against the two teams I previously mentioned.....plus they were funny, and The Road Warriors who were just absolutely dominate and intimidating. This one.......I cannot choose.

Technical Wrestler - Kurt Angle. The man was an olympic gold medal winner for his ability to wrestle. Seems like the obvious choice here. The guy was a fantastic grappler.

Entertainer- The Rock. The most entertaining mic worker the wrestling world has seen. When he was on the screen, so were your eyes.

High Flyer- Jeff Hardy. The man may have his issues, but that doesnt change what he did in the ring. His matches always managed to entertain me, and he was always willing to do anything to steal the show. Some may call him a spot monkey, but I've always found the guy highly entertaining.

Giant/Big Guy- The Undertaker. Its not often you see a big man who is athletic enough to do the things he does. Whether it was diving out of the ring, walking on the top rope, or flat out stealing the show at Wrestlemania for the last several years, the guy is a legend.

Hardcore Wrestler- Mick Foley. A guy who was willing to risk his life to entertain the fans. That Hell in a Cell match with Undertaker was sick enough to get consideration for this alone, but add in all his other work and he is the clear winner.

Tag Team- This is kind of a cop out here, but for me this is a tie between The Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian. Two tag teams that both entertained me a lot and put on a ton of classics, quite a few with each other.

All choices are from the 90s-Now because I didnt live through the 80s wrestling, so I would only really be able to comment on the stuff I've gone out of my way to watch.

Technical Wrestler: I knew my answer as soon as I saw the letters "tech". Bret Hart. Not only did he have great execution, but he always took care of his partner in the ring...and that's not something that should be overlooked in this category.

Entertainer: Shawn Michaels. The man was something else. It never mattered if he won or lost, he always put on a great show.

High Flyer: I'm not a huge expert in this category. I'll go with Rey. I think he's become a little repetitive this late in his career, but he's put on some great matches in his career.

Giant/Big Guy: The Undertaker. The perfect combination of talent and a great gimmick. He could go toe to toe with the big guys, and he could jump off the top rope when he needed to.

Hardcore Wrestler: Foley. I'll never forget that HIAC. The man has balls the size of grapefruits.

Tag Team: I'm going to go with LOD...but I think the Rockers would have been something special had they been able to stay together longer. I REALLY wish that tag teams today would watch the tag teams from the late 80's and early 90's...because these guys did it MUCH better than it's done today.

These replys have been pretty interesting, Since we are addressing who we think are the best of ALL time.

Technical Chris Benoit, Any time you heard those first few grinding chords in his entrance, you knew an ass kicking was coming with it. May not have been as precise as Kurt Hennig or Bret Hart, but the difference is the absolute intensity he brought to his moves. You would genuinly feel the impact behind each move that he performed.

Entertainer Stone Cold Steve Austin. My personal favourite was Austin because he got some incredible pops and has been in some truely entertaining situations in the WWF/E. From his matches, driving/destroying vehicles, assaulting officials, beer baths, his promos the list goes on and on and on.

High Flyers Jeff Hardy, This is focussing purely on what hes done in the ring (and out of the ring but i dont mean drugs wise.) I hope that when Jeff Hardy is menchioned to people thier first thought is of his crazy spots rather then his drug history. Jeff has done some truely amasing things in the WWE, hes jumped from the highest places and has been thrown of the highest places. Rob Van Dam was a close second here because I believe that he is extremely (no pun) underappreciated in regards to what hes done as far as high flying moves are concerned.

Giant/Big Guy If we are talking about best ever then it has to be Andre The Giant, The guy waws simply larger then life, a true superstar whos influence and celebrity went beyond the ring. I personally beleive that if it wasnt for Andre The Giant, Hulk Hogan would not have been as big a star as he is today.I also I greatly admire all the legendary drinking stories that are told about him!

Hardcore Wrestler Mick Foley. Mick was a hardcore legend before he even went to the WWF/E....actually nevermind that, he was a Hardcore legend before he even went to ECW. Aside from falling off the HIAC which is something hes commonly remembed for, alot of people seem to forget that he lost a damn ear in the ring.

Tag Team Edge and Christian. Every1 worships the Hardyz and the Dudleys. But only Edge and Christian have both gone onto singles wrestling and become MAJOR successes. Edge with his multiple WWE world titles and Christian with his world titles (although fewer) in both TNA,ECW(WWE version) and WWE. As a tag team they were amazing having won both of the legendary TLC matches at wrestlemania and were both genuinly entertaining with thier antics in the ring.

Technician: American Dragon; no one does it better than Bryan Danielson

Entertainer: the Rock; c'mon, is there really any debate here?

High Flyer: Jack Evans; he can pull off ANY high risk maneuver.

Big Man: Vader; dominant AND surprising in his move set.

Tag Team: Steiner Bros; Excellence personified and better matches than LOD and the Dudleys

~ Technical Wrestler - Mr Perfect just edges out Bret Hart
~ Entertainer - The Rock I cannot think of anybody else who gets the feel of the audience every night and works to it
~ High Flyer - Jeff Hardy the swanton off that huge ladder is just sick
~ Giant/Big Guy - Bam Bam Bigelow was so fluid in the ring. Vader is my 2nd
~ Hardcore Wrestler - Mick Foley HIAC, I Quit, Wrestlemania vs Edge
~ Tag Team - Head Cheese (j/k) I'm going with pre-Crush Demolition

if there was an option for best promos that would go to Jake the Snake (piper a close 2nd) and favorite overall that would be the Macho Man

Technical : Bret Hart. So good in the ring he probably helped me believe pro wrestling was real for longer than I otherwise would have when I was a kid. I think it says a lot that despite being criminally underused by WCW and having his career cut short by injury he is still being chosen for this category by many people in this thread.

Entertainer : Roddy Piper. There is just something about Hot Rod that fascinates me every time he opens his mouth. Kinda like Christopher Walken, if you know what I mean. I would be entertained by this man if he was reading a phone book. Despite also being very entertaining, Hogan's act relied too much on his Great Big Push to be the 80s superhero, The Rock is too catch-phrasey for my tastes and Stone Cold was one-note. Roddy was just Roddy. My dream is for him to come back as an announcer or manager. And Piper's Pit was waaaay ahead of it's time.

High Flyer : Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. He really stuck out to me in the 80s from all the other roid wrestlers that were the norm in those days. Very refreshing and original style for the time, at least based on my very limited exposure to wrestling back then.

Giant/Big Guy : Undertaker. I don't know what else you want in a wrestler: awesome look, awesome gimmick, awesome in the ring (considering his size), awesome mic skills (aided largely by the aforementioned awesome gimmick).

Hardcore : Mick Foley. He pretty much defines Hardcore Wrestling for most casual fans. The HIAC match alone gets him on the short list. Versatile on the mic and a part of many of the most memorable moments in wrestling during his heyday.

Tag Team : Road Warriors. 2 huge badasses wearing post-apocalyptic armor as they strut down to a ring to fight some other dudes? Sign me up. I read somewhere that they were known to be notoriously stiff in the ring, which probably helped increase the 'believability' factor, which is important for me.

~ Technical Wrestler: Kurt Angle. Kurt is the best when it comes to reversals and chain wrestling. Everything he does looks so smooth, and he can make anyone look good. Bret Hart is a strong #2. Everything he did looked so painful.

~ Entertainer: The Rock. The guy is well known for being the best on the mic, and could put on a great match as well. Shawn Michaels is a close second, for his overall ring and mic skills.

~ High Flyer: There are alot of really good high flyers, but I have to say Rey Mysterio. He's been doing it for years, and flys around like he's weightless. Rey rarely works with other cruisers either, and has to work at break neck speed against much slower guys.

~ Giant/Big Guy: Undertaker, without question.

~ Hardcore Wrestler: Mick Foley. He made a career out of getting his ass kicked. There are alot of hardcore wrestlers out there, but none of them have matched Mick's accomplishments.

~ Tag Team: This is a tough one. There have been so many great teams over the years. If I have to pick one, it'd be Edge & Christian. They had great matches, and great gimmicks.

Technician: American Dragon; no one does it better than Bryan Danielson

Entertainer: the Rock; c'mon, is there really any debate here?

High Flyer: Jack Evans; he can pull off ANY high risk maneuver.

forgot my Hardcore guy: SABU! He had better offense than any other Hardcore wrestler....

Technical Wrestler: Kurt Angle

Angle have the ability to counter any goddamn move you can think of. He's a true athlete, a gold medal winner, and without a doubt the best mat wrestler to ever step in a wrestling ring.

Entertainer: The Rock

No need to explain anything here. Wether it's on the mic, inside the ring, or backstage, everything this guy did was entertaining.

Highflyer: Rey Mysterio

Wow the guy is amazing. No need to say much.

Giant: Undertaker

The most athletic big man I have ever seen.

Hardcore: Mick Foley

No need to explain.

Tag Team: The Dudley Boyz

Arguably the greatest tag team of all times. Just an amazing chemistry btw these two. Not to mention that they won every tag title there is to win.

The Best Technical: Lance Storm, one of the most underrated wrestlers in the history of wrestling. No matter who he wrestled always put on a great match.
Entertainer: This one is hard but I am going to have to go with Shawn Michaels because no one on any card could out entertain him or out perform him.
High Flyer: This one is easy Rey Mistrio, Yeah he may have slowed down do to injuries but back in ECW, WCW, and Mexico their is still no one that can touch the stuff he did.
Big Guy: Andre The Giant. Nothing more to say.
Hardcore: Most people would right away give this to Mick Foley for very great reasons, but I am going to have to go with Terry Funk, he was hardcore before hardcore excisted.
Tag Team: Demolition, WWE brought them in as a LOD rip off but they took on a life form of their own and became a very popular team in WWE. Watch their match at Wreslemania 6 win they win that was one of the loudest pops of the night.
