I'm going to be an Industrial Engineer. I took the SAT a few years ago and did ok on it, would have done better if I had actually studied for it and add that to the fact that I half assed the entire thing because it was pointless to take because I was in the top 10% of my high school class and in Texas anyone in the top 10% of their respective graduating classes gets auto admission into public schools (no idea if they changed it but this was the system at the time) I didn't really give a fuck about it. I think it was between a 1700 and 1800 but it doesn't matter.

It seems like practically any American can go to India and be a millionaire there just by making minimum wage, God bless America!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're privileged because you don't have to work at all to pay for school, by the time I get done with college I will have upwards of $100,000 American dollars in debt before interest. I don't know about you but personally I'd rather take the fucking exam than pay that back. Not every state has the auto admission from what I understand and if my state was successful in their attempts to get rid of it it may not still be around. The auto admission is a bit of a reward to doing well in high school while making sure that more enlightened minds chose the university. If any of us were to apply for a private university then our GPA and SAT scores would be taken into full account regardless of our class status. On a much funnier note I was number 69 in my class, made me ridiculously happy to see such a fabled number as my rank but unfortunately there was no 69 in my future the day I found out about it so it's a fairly bitter sweet tale.
