All WWE '12 Discussion

:lmao:

It's pretty simple. Once you fire up the game and enter the online passcode in the instruction book, you can access something called "Community Creations". In that are all the arenas, CAWs, etc. that people have uploaded. If you press the Square button a dialogue box pops up where you can enter search parameters. If you search for CTW you'll find all of my creations, plus one or two that other people have uplopaded using the same tag. You can select my CAWs from a list and view them and download them to your PS3, and play as them.

Just a note for everyone reading... this is why I do directly to Doc with my questions.

I was wondering what that online thingie was for! Thanks, man.

No problem! To activate it, go to the Playstation Store, and there's an option to redeem codes. Enter the code and it'll let you download the online pass and then you can have matches and do downloads and buy DLC, the whole nine yards.

The servers are a little iffy at the moment when it comes to Community Creations but they're better than they were at launch and I'm sure they'll only improve. So it might take a few tries to download a CAW but it'll get done in the end if you keep trying.

I'm pretty satisfied because I got the arenas I wanted, along with realizing that it's actually extremely easy to make arenas such as old WrestleManias by using the game's arena logos.

It's still not acceptable that it hasn't been fixed, though, as such an integral part of the game's creation programs. The game's been out for almost a week, now. Get on it, THQ.

On another note, I've completed the Outsider and Hero RTWMs and I'm almost done with the Villain (I did them out of order).

I won't spoil anything, but I got really into the ending of the hero one and it reminded me of how much I love WWE. The Villain one is very cool as well even if the idea might not work so well in real life.

How did you do them out of order? I had to play Villian, into outsider and havent reached Hero yet.

Fan Axxess. Unlocked everything before I started playing. The only reason I'm even doing them now is to get the trophies.

I bought, well my brother bought the game on Saturday and Ive completed the villain story and started the outsider. I like the way the two storys mix into each other and i want to play the hero story because I want to play as my created character.

Working for it sucks. Plus I was going to buy all the DLC anyway so it's not like I spent any extra money.

In fact, I saved money by only paying 12 dollars instead of buying the packs separately for like five each.

I still do, since there's a trophy for completing each one.

And I had a reason to play Universe for the "win 50 matches on hard" trophy. Which wasn't really hard at all since I moved the sliders all the way to the left.

I'm doing it the long way. It takes away from the game to just buy them all.

Plus, practice makes perfect.

So basically, you just made everything easy? Thats pointless.

I agree with Dman, unlocking everything takes from the game and I have bought fan access, but won't use the unlock all thing.

Has anyone noticed that the movesets are so much better this year than they were last year?

They were so lazy with it last year, with so many people having the same signature or finisher twice. That happens MUCH less often this year (only with guys like JR and Cole who aren't real wrestlers anyway).

As far as I am aware, you cannot play as your own CAW. You can only play with a THQ created character called Jacob Cass, who is voiced by Austin Aries.... I would much rather play as my own CAW, having a CAW RTWM was always one of my favourite parts of the series.

Just made loads of arenas, here is the list of them

.Capitol Punishment 2011
.Wrestlemania 3,15,16,17,23,24 and 26
.Old school RAW from 2010
.RAW IS WAR 2000
.Smackdown from 1999

Going to make the rest of the mania's and Vengeance 2011 later.

You can technically play as your own CAW, but only as his physical appearance. Everything else is changed. Name, moves, entrance, etc. are all those of "Jacob Cass" and that's how he will be referred to throughout the story. But the appearance remains the same, so you can use a CAW already created if you want.

It is lame, but the story itself is great so I'm willing to forgive it a tad bit.

No, you can't. The only types of matches you can change and keep the stipulation are title matches, not Royal Rumble/No. 1 Contender/MITB. Also, you can't just change title matches to get the "win one/three/five titles" trophies. You have to earn them the hard way, by having your guy go through the rankings.

Mind uploading that stuff to make it easier on a lazy fellow such as myself?

Yeah, I've never liked the feature that you can't change things to how you want. They remedied it a bit this year with the "title matches whenever," but I would like to be able to schedule a Money in the Bank match whenever I want and have it count. Also, there should be two briefcases like there are in real life.

For which system?

EDIT: Nevermind
