I've been playing this for a few days now, and although I have to admit that it is an improvement from last year, there is no way that this game should have been released with this many problems.
I kind of agree in some aspects. If you want more of a challenge then WWE'12 is definitely better, but I still really liked how easy 2011 was when it came to doing insane table and ladder stunts. You can still put your opponent through crazy table and ladder setups in WWE '12, but with the stronger AI, it's not nearly as easy to get the opponent to go along with it. I have also found that it's harder to get the guy to go through a ladder or table as often when you do a move that would have broken the table in 2011, the guy will just land next to the table in WWE'12 (ie. try to F5 a guy through a table in WWE'12....not as easy as I would like). I wish they still had an option to revert back to a dumber AI and a less exact requirement for table breaking positioning.
Some of my favorites are the AIs response in the cage match. These bastards at THQ just switched it so that any time you press the climb button during a cage match the opponent automatically stands up. I have literally beaten my opponent to a bloody pulp for over 20 minutes and he still keeps on getting up. Triple threat or fatal four way cage matches are almost impossible to win against the normal AI!
I haven't had quite as much trouble as you here. One on one cage matches I find you have to hit a Signature and a Finisher in order for the guy to stay down long enough and you will have to execute a nearly perfect climb in order to get out before he can catch you.
But, multi opponent matches are pretty bad. It can be real hard to get 3,4, or 5 other guys to stay down long enough to win. Like the Scramble match in Night Of Champions. You kind of have to get a pin within the first 1-2 minutes because after that, too many guys are in the ring and they all go to break up a pin if you attempt one. That I don't get. Why would the other guys who are NOT champion care if I get a pin in the Scramble?? It just means that I become interim champ instead of the former champ. Either way it doesn't affect anyone else besides the former champ. Anyone see what I am saying? Only the current champ should be worried about me pinning someone because then I become the interim champ. Everyone else just has to pin me before the 5min time limit is up instead of pinning the other guy. But no, they all try to break up any pin.
Heck, even during regular exhibition matches the game just goes black with the audio playing.
I have had this one too, lol. Also, refs having seizures, refs talking to the corner (like as if they were yelling at an interfering tag partner there in a tag match) but doing this when it's a handicap match (1-on-2) and no one standing there, all sounds but the crowd noise going mute, objects and wrestlers warping across the screen, etc.... The game wasn't QA tested properly for sure (These are some of the popular glitches that affect this game).
Even with all of this, I could still keep my cool, but once I started playing the Road to Wrestlemania mode, I flipped out. The same repetitive backstage brawls with stupid prompts and incomplete move sets were the final straw.
This I TOTALLY agree with. It seems like you do the same fights like 10 times in the 2nd and 3rd RTWM stories. It is REALLY repetitive!!!!
It is a damn shame because the Villain story line was very interesting.
I really enjoyed all 3 RTWM storylines as well. They take a while, but I have been playing this game constantly for the past couple days. Only 8 more unlockables to go.
It's a great game, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it's as great as it was hyped up to be. I wish they had also added more outside the ring action options like using the ramp, stage, walk around the floor area, that kind of stuff.
Also, I don't really see the big deal about the whole limb targetting system. I almost never use it. I also wish they let you customize arenas more. I would like to be able to customize the stage and entrance way too and build an actual event.
<<<SPOILER>>>
Another thing that bugs me is a part of the RTWM. Now it's a little thing, but some of the RTWM stories actually span over the course of WM27, 28, and 29. They change the venue for each event, but they still use the WM27 sign for each of them. I don't get why they wouldn't have put in a generic WM logo to use for the WM28 and 29 parts.

I'm glad to see many of you are enjoying it, but I just cannot overlook all of the glaring flaws this game has. Sorry.[/QUOTE]
