All WWE '12 Discussion

hopefully a "hair brainded nonsense logic" and a "custom theme plays during the victory scene" patch is released. Would be mighty, might, mighty helpfull.

I was only reinforcing your point man. That's not the only weird thing to have happened, though. A cena heel turn in the first match was another confusing one.

Nope. I really hope there is an animation where they come back from the injury and attack whoever injured them, though.

Just started playing Universe. Cole,Goldists and Kozlov are all the top contenders for thee WWE title meanwhile Lesnar is last in the standings.

I haven't even bought the game yet, and it's just so entertaining reading everybody's stories about it. Hahaha

most of them are unlocked when they appear in universe mode.

no that's not true, the locked superstars will occasionally show up in Universe mode as mystery opponents (ie. John Cena vs. ???) and you can play as the locked Superstar for that match. However, he will go back to being locked after the match is over. In order to unlock them permanently you must accomplish their unlock task (look up unlockables on Google to find a guide on how to unlock everything). Many Superstars have to be unlocked by completing Road to Wrestlemania parts (ie. Nash, Booker, Animal/Hawk, Vader are unlocked by completing certain parts in the Triple H 2nd RTWM story). Others, like Demolition, get unlocked in Universe mode.

The injury system seems like a really odd thing to reintroduce to the game, and it's just foolish of THQ to not put in the option to turn injuries off.

GameStop opens at Midnight.

I am going to GameStop to sell my XBox 360 and buy a PS3. I will also be buying WWE12 and maybe a few other games too. To quote the legendary orator of the (American) football variety named Bart Scott "CAN'T WAIT!"

Wal Mart is one of those stores that is selling a PS3 bundle for $199, includes 160 GB PS3 and Little Big Planet Special Edition and Ratchet and Clank.

Every major retailer is doing that deal. GameStop is doing it too, and Gamestop won't have a line 9346892736984762w35 people long. Hence gamestop. Plus they buy back old games/systems too, which WalMart doesn't.

You can buy the bundle online, so the lines don't bother me one bit.

if they still have them in stock online (Best Buy doesn't anymore). AND doing so online means they have to ship it to me and I pay shipping and/or it takes time to get to me.

Plus then I can't use the GameStop Store Credit from X-Box Selling towards PS3 purchasing.

Depends on the person, I refuse to trade in any of my systems so that credit won't help me; also my mother works at wal mart so I get a 10% discount.

Today I was in a tag team elimination match with some friends & I eliminated both opponents with Michael Cole by making them tap out to the An-Cole lock. Could there by a worser way to lose then taping out to Michael Cole?

Online is so much better, and that's what I care about the most.

Road to WrestleMania is a letdown, and I haven't played much Universe yet. But improved gameplay + improved online = Happy Champ. That and the roster make it easily better than last year's already.

Based on my research the game looks incredible, and the roster looks outstanding. Fucking Vader, Brock Lesnar, Demolition, and the Road Warriors. The only person that the game is truely lacking that could have made it better for me is Chris Jericho. Kinda bummed he didn't make the cut.

I'm seriously thinking going into a pawn shop and buying a PS3, because Gamestop wouldn't give me much if I tried tradding in my N64.

I doubt they even take N64s. I wouldn't trade that in if I was you anyway. I gave mine to charity a few years ago, but there are plenty of times I wish I still could break it out.

I'll probably never sell it. I've got over 30 games, 6 controllers, and 3 memory packs. It would just seem like a waste considering that I play it quite often.

PS3 games are quite expensive, so whatever I'd buy would have to last me in entertainment value.

I've been playing this for a few days now, and although I have to admit that it is an improvement from last year, there is no way that this game should have been released with this many problems.

Some of my favorites are the AIs response in the cage match. These bastards at THQ just switched it so that any time you press the climb button during a cage match the opponent automatically stands up. I have literally beaten my opponent to a bloody pulp for over 20 minutes and he still keeps on getting up. Triple threat or fatal four way cage matches are almost impossible to win against the normal AI!

Then there is the fact that the controller does not vibrate during the WWE Universe mode. Really THQ and Yukes? Really? Don't boast about your stupid Predator technology and roster until you get your basics done right. How the hell does the vibration just fail to work on one of your game modes. It's insane!

Online matches, like always, just blow because of the lag. The servers are crap and matches just freeze all the time. Heck, even during regular exhibition matches the game just goes black with the audio playing.

Even with all of this, I could still keep my cool, but once I started playing the Road to Wrestlemania mode, I flipped out. The same repetitive backstage brawls with stupid prompts and incomplete move sets were the final straw. It is a damn shame because the Villain story line was very interesting. I'm glad to see many of you are enjoying it, but I just cannot overlook all of the glaring flaws this game has. Sorry.

I agree on Jericho, I'm surprised he wasn't on as a DLC tbh. Also, Bret Hart should have been a legend as he is still popular as fuck as has been involved with WWE alot these last couple of years.

Roster still fucking owns though. I am hoping my copy is waiting for me when I get home from work...it better be or someone is getting a flying headbutt to the jaw!

I've been playing everything that you've mentioned in this game, aside from the cage matches, and I haven't had any problems with the game at all... and aside from Saints Row the 3rd, it's the only game I've been playing for the past few days.

My controller vibrates every time someone hits me and every time someone interferes in Universe Mode. Maybe the vibration settings is something with your controller and not the console.

Online has also been a lot better this year than ever before. I've played ten matches now and haven't had a letdown yet. Sure, I've lost a lot of matches, but that's just because I'm not good at fighting games online.

Really, this game was worth the money and then some. I can't wait for the future DLC to come in the game.
