The matches in red are the one's I'm really looking forward to.

They're not. The bracket looks entirely different. Tonight I'll put up an actual bracket to clear up the confusion.

I can not wait until Brock gets Shawn in the second round, and absolutely destroys him.

I imagine it will look something like this

I think I have a stiffy from that

Seriously; who's dick does Jericho and Edge suck every year to be ranked higher than fucking Dusty Rhodes and Roddy Piper?

I had Dusty at 14, Piper at 36, Jericho at 43, and Edge at 47. I didn't take a close look at other lists but I was surprised Dusty was so low considering he got a lot of points for being high on my list. Guess I was his big supporter.

Based on that is Ken Shamrock going to massacre Ricky Steamboat?

There could be a case for that.

The problem is, Ken Shamrock didn't have a run as a main event performer in wrestling. Brock Lesnar is probably more intimidating and threatening than Shamrock, and he's a former heavyweight champion, too.

Besides, Shawn's best point in his career was probably when he came back from back surgery, when he was used more to build up guys. Shawn is a guy who makes his opponent look great. Brock feeds off of that

Speaking of Steamboat, there's another guy who's higher than he ought to be. A good hand who took part in some fondly remembered matches of years gone by, but not wildly significant.

Am I really meant to believe that his deep, crisp arm-drags make him deserving of a higher spot than a guy like Goldberg?

While we're at it; Wrestlezone has some funky standards when it comes to ring technicians, for a lack of better word. You have Michaels, Steamboat, and Hart, who all get pretty beneficial spots this tournament. Then you have Angle, Benoit, and Misawa who all got the screw.

Pretty interesting that the former three are praised in the annals of WWE history, while the latter are cast aside like lepers

Out of all the first round matches John Cena versus Iron Sheik debate should easily be the most amusing... Someone should try and get the Iron Sheik's attention on Twitter to come over and debate it for himself.

All I know is Magnum TA is going to come on Antonio Inoki like no one has come on him before.

By the look of things we likely will have Goldberg vs Andre at some point in the WCW bracket. My god that is going to be a battle.

Goldberg would have to beat Verne Gagne for that to happen. I'm pretty sure Gelgarin would shiv us through the monitor if that occurred

Considering most of the kids that will vote are the ones who chant 'Goldberg' at Ryback matches & have no idea how important Verne actually was, I would say its a strong possible outcome.

I have become resigned to the perpetual under appreciation for Kurt Angle. If he isn't the best in-ring performer of the modern era then who is?

I can assure, almost none of the kids who chant Goldberg are doing so in a way to pay homage to the man. It's about a dozen or so smark fans who think they're funny.

It isn't my place to get high and mighty on an Internet tournament, but if Verne Gagne loses to Goldberg, then there is no God, and Gelgarin will shiv us all through the monitor.

You can count on my support of him; right fucked that folks like Steamboat get the royal treatment while Angle gets ignored, because that's how WWE rolls

I know Dusty will be trounced by Thesz; he shouldn't (it should be much, much closer)

I know Piper will get trounced by Edge; he shouldn't

I know Mascaras will get trounced by Jericho; sure as shit he shouldn't.

But RVD looks ok, to me. So there is that hope

Genuinely shocked every time I'm reminded that people still think this way about Kurt Angle.

Steamboat got a 4? No wonder all the questions about him.

If AJ defeats Batista then we could have Hogan-Styles. That would be much more fun than the alternative.

Who do you have for that superlative then Coco?

Do you really want to argue taste, shattered? I certainly don't. I could list a plethora of guys I prefer to Angle. As a matter of fact, I think Angle peaked early in his WWE career and has deteriorated quickly for such a supposed great. When it comes to him being one of the best ever, I simply don't see it.

I may have blown a gasket.

If we get Cena-Terry Funk I will go ahead and nominate X for the arrive, raise hell, leave award.

Edit: who said anything about arguing Coco? Just curious who your generation thinks of in such a light.

The men that immediately come to mind when I think of the best of the modern era are John Cena, Shawn Michaels, CM Punk, Triple H, AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, Daniel Bryan, and Chris Benoit. I could probably be convinced to expand the list to include Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, and Edge as well.

But really, you're asking a guy who has zero love for Angle. I don't get it at all.
